We should learn to give Caesar only what belongs to him. I was flabbergasted that you joined your S brothers to shout victory on the Kohtem affair. Ever since someone murdered sleep in Balikumbat, government has been consistent in its promise for justice. Why would anybody in his normal senses refuse to give credit to Etoudi for what happened on St. Valentine’s Day?
Yours sincerely has followed with keen interest the debate that was triggered as a result of the suit filed by Barrister Stanislaus Ajong. According to what I have read so far, Barrister Ajong wants the University of Buea to have the same English-language proficiency admission requirement for both Anglophones and Francophones, as opposed to what obtains now. That sounds fair enough. However, as the debate has taken different angles, I would like to give a little testimony as an alumnus of that school.

Traditional authority in Cameroon and elsewhere is shrouded in myths. The Fon, Chief or King never dies. He disappears! A Fon eating in public is as rare as the tear of a dog. Shaking hands with the Fon in public is an abomination, to say the least. This explains why Fon Achirimbi of Bafut allegedly had reservations shaking hands with a female British royalty!
The Secretary General of the Union des Population du Cameroun, UPC, Augustin Frederic Kodock, has said his enemies are mounting a smear campaign to paint him black in the eyes of President Paul Biya. Promoting Culture By Exclusion The first musical tour to his fatherland (Cameroon) by France-based Yannick Noah, which was organised by the French Cultural Centre and sponsored by PMUC and Orange Cameroun, left a bitter memory in the minds of the impoverished Douala fans. SDF National Chairman, John Fru Ndi, has said late John Kohtem was not the first victim of Fon Doh Gah Gwanyin III of Balikumbat. Speaking during a press conference at the Yaounde SDF Secretariat, his first since the controversial October 11 Presidential poll, Fru Ndi said Fon Doh shot and killed a UNDP militant in 1992. He later shot and killed a gendarme, Fru Ndi said. The SDF Chairman argued that Fon Doh committed these crimes and was not punished because the people did not mount pressure on the authorities for justice to be done. But in the case of John Kohtem, the SDF Balikumbat District Chairman, whose murder on August 20 last year has been blamed on Fon Doh by his party, Fru Ndi said people power came to play.
