Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Clobert Tchatat, has ordered the Bakweri Cooperative Union of farmers, BCUF, Real Estate and Housing Cooperative Society, headed by Endeley Ndemba Mbella, to halt all its activities forthwith.

The Minister also wrote to BCUF Ltd, another group that calls itself the authentic BCUF, headed by a certain Kinge Molonge, ordering a temporal (sic) suspension of activities pending reorganisation. The Minister took the decision after meeting with both factions in CDC Bota, Limbe on April 5.
Where over 80 million new, used, rare, out-of-print books are just a click away, online @ abebooks.comHe expressed government desire to find a lasting solution to the crisis that has been rocking BCUF Ltd.In an April 11, 2006, letter, titled Cessation of Activities, Tchatat wrote to BCUF Real Estate, "You are called upon to stop all activities forthwith and to produce a detailed report and balance sheet of activities of the organisation for the period of September till date."
BCUF Real Estate was ordered to submit a balance sheet of its activities to the Southwest Provincial Registry of Cooperatives on a before April 17, 2006.
The Minister instructed, "All the keys of your moveable and immovable assets should be surrendered to the Governor of the Southwest Province for safe custody.
No further banking operations should be carried out in any of the accounts of the cooperative."He warned, "The non respect of these instructions shall only be committing your personal and joint liability without prejudice to the penalties provided for by the law."
The Agriculture Minister said in the letter that copied Southwest Governor and the Attorney General, which an ad-hoc committee, made up of delegates from the five primary societies of BCUF Ltd, which were reorganised in 1996 shall be put in place in the days ahead.
The Southwest Registry of Cooperative will help reorganise all the statutory organs of the cooperatives at both primary societies and union level in accordance with the law.
In another correspondence addressed to the Governor of the Southwest Province, Louis Eyeya Zanga, Tchatat requested the Chief Executive to ensure the immediate cessation of activities by the two entities.
Protest
Tchatat's decision was received with anger within BCUF Real Estate. For one thing, the Minister based his action on a decision that was taken by his predecessor, Augustine Frederick Kodock, on October 30, 2003, annulling the re-registration of BCUF.
Kodock's decision was challenged at the Administrative Bench of the Supreme Court in Yaounde. The court on August 3, 2004, ordered a stay of the annulment pending hearing and determination of the matter.
In a knee-jerk reaction to Tchatat's decision, members of BCUF Real Estate rallied in front of Southwest Governor's office with placards on Tuesday, April 18, to protest what they termed executive lawlessness.
The protestors could not meet the Governor who was said to be holding a security meeting. They, however, handed two memos to the Secretary General at the Governor's office.
One of the memos accused the Minister of violating and undermining the Cameroonian constitution in its provisions consecrating the separation of powers and the independence of the judiciary. The memos reminded Tchatat that his Ministry had on November 8, 2004, appealed against the court's ruling.
The appeal is still pending hearing and determination before the Supreme Court.
"We are calling upon your excellency to respect Republican institutions and immediately retract the correspondence, which is already bringing mayhem between our members," stated one of the memos.
Chief Lifoko Molombe, Vice Chairman of BCUF Real Estate, told The Post that he found it absurd that while they are in court one of the parties steps out and starts giving instructions.
"This is unfair," he said. "The old BCUF handed over to us and we all took it in good faith. But in our society of today, anything can happen, especially in the case where jurisdiction of the court is threatened."
Chief Molombe said BCUF Real Estate has not been served the Minister's decision. He said the BCUF Real Estate Board will have to sit and take a decision on the issue.
Thomas Tanga, a member of BCUF Real Estate, said they found the Minister's decision irregular.
"There was a Supreme Court decision that restored our status quo. It is arcane for a Minister to override a Supreme Court decision," Tanga said. But Kinge Molonge of BCUF Ltd told The Post the Minister acted within the law.

DAY 3. FASTING AND PRAYERS CONTINUE...
TAKING A BREAK!
I AM ORGANISING A ONE WEEK FASTING AND PRAYER.
I wish to announce publicly that I'm taking a break from replying to querries and making contributions on this forum. I think that some writers need serious spiritual care and attention. I really do sincerely pity them especially in the situation where even in obvious cases, they can't still see. The above article is not something we ought to brainstorm about. It speaks for itslef. Only posessed persons like Mukete will do. I'll NOT relent my efforts from exorcising this drunkard, dullard and idiot. Modern medicines as they think, can't do the trick...ONLY GOD. Only God, I re-iterate. I therefore call on members to go on fasting and prayers. Just what I'm about doing. I regret any inconveniences my absence may cause.
So, Klemenceau, Fon Lawrence, Watesih, knganjo, Henry Alex, Aaron Nyangkwe, Boy, Atemangy Awunjia Terrence, Washow and the rest of this think factory I enjoin you to continue the struggle. I'll be back in about a week time.
Stay blessed and keep praying.
Love you all.

The Bakwery people should know that La Republique is agianst their struggle to success. As we of the SC have given an altimatum banning any person or group of persons and association from going into any negociation of buying CDC, they should rally with us and say NO. They should not say we did not say so because we want to abolish future cries. It is said that even the dull and they ignorants have their story.
