The Divisional Coordinator of
the Social Democratic Front, SDF in Lebialem, Hon. Dr. Michael Ndobegang, has qualified some of his party officials who recently decamped to the CPDM as opportunistic squatters.
"They are more of opportunistic squatters than committed house builders who decided to move on as they are used to," said Dr. Ndobegang, a former Member of Parliament, MP, to The Post in Yaounde, April 19.
In a tacit reference to the former SDF Assistant Communication Secretary, Martin Nkemngu and others who decamped to the CPDM, in Lebialem two weeks ago, Ndobegang said:"I will let them live with the consequences of their actions."
Quoting the former US President, Ronald Regan (RIP), Ndobegang said, "If you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen".
In another aphoric expression, he added "I will be surprised if this saying, by the wildest imagination, would have meant getting out of the kitchen and landing in a furnace."
He said, for the carpet-crossers to swing from the SDF to the CPDM suggests a horrible sense of judgment, and is indicative that they are all opportunists.
Hon. Ndobegang, who resigned as SDF Interim Secretary General, after Prof. Tazoacha Asonganyi was thrown out, scorned the recent CPDM conference in the Lebialem capital of Menji, as a farcical comedy that was acted to deceive only fools that the CPDM is all-powerful in that area.
While admitting that Nkemngu resigned with just a few militants, he said it was a ridiculous exaggeration for anybody to claim that he resigned with 300 militants.
He said the terrible exaggeration, which was intended to ridicule the SDF, has done the contrary because, "They have exposed the blatant inconsistencies and the dubious nature of the people who gave these figures.
According to him, it is unbelievable that at a CPDM meeting in Menji, which by itself has never pulled crowds of that nature, 300 SDF militants were not only in attendance but spontaneously decamped to the CPDM.
He said a majority of the so-called carpet-crossers were not SDF militants, but CPDM militants who were normally attending their meeting. To him, claims that over 300 SDF militants decamped to the CPDM is outrageous; a blatant lie intended to deceive only the gullible.
Ndobegang said even one of the defectors, Francis Anu, declared in a local tabloid that, "His own imaginary 70 SDF militants decamped to the CPDM." Reacting to allegations that he and Prof. Asonganyi were also in Lebialem, ready to join the CPDM that day, Dr. Ndobegang said such a story was the figment of the imagination of the carpet-crossers.
He said to the best of his knowledge only Nkemngu, Dr. Fomin, a NEC member, and a few others resigned.
When asked about the state of his party in Lebialem, Ndobegang said the party was healthy and militants serene. Whether militants were not disillusioned by the conflict currently ailing the party, Ndobegang retorted, "The militants are certainly worried but looking forward to the resolutions of whatever problems are rocking the stability of the party."
He added that such a situation does not in anyway challenge the conviction of his militants that the CPDM cannot be the vector of change in Cameroon.

CROSSING CARPET IS A FORM OF DEMOCRACY BUT.....
Anybody is free to choose a party that he/she thinks manifests his political ideology.
But the strange thing is that, people are not just leaving SDF. They are leaving SDF for CPDM. What has these wo parties got in common?
If the CPDM is known to be one of the world,s most corrupt parties, and we find people switching from other parties to it, then it shows that those carpet-crossers have hidden agenda. It actually shows that they were not actually members of the party/parties they abandoned.
So, nobody should regret if people leave the SDF for CPDM. It makes some ense if someone would resign from SDF and then fom his own party.

This is how a man should reason. There is no house without problems. You only know a man depending on his approach on resolving an issue.
I know Mukete will be quick to call you Fru Ndi`s blind supporter, since to him anybody that says anything positive about the SDF is a blind supporter of Fru Ndi.
Let the ball roll

Martin Nkemngu and co are a disgrace to Lebialem, to Cameroon and the opposition as a whole. Infact, there is no true opposition in Cameroon. All these so called opposition parties are but another sub-section of the CPDM.
The fact that within one month of his resignation from the SDF, Nkemngu should decamp to the CPDM shows that his romancing with CPDM did not start only now. In fact it goes to affirm the stories that there is a degree of romance within the CPDM and the SDF at the detriment of the Cameroon people.
I had expected that, if Nkemngu was resigning from the SDF he should join the Southern Cameroons struggle just like Nfor, Mukong, Taku and others did.
That Nkemngu who once over Cameroon Calling lambasted the CPDM should now be dinning with the CPDM is beyond words. This is ‘langa’ in the highest coefficient
Funny enough, when one reads the commits from some SDF supporters on this site, you see them jubilating. If there is one thing I got from Ndoki Mukete was, ‘ if them insult your papi e woman them di thief, no laugh because your mami day among.
Therefor the whole SDF are a group of feymen.

Why should they be considered a disgrace to anybody? They have their motives (which appears to be very dubious) but still it is their choices and by the end of the day everybody is responsible for the choices that they make.
Fon Ndoh made his choices and many labelled him with various derogatory names but yet he sticked to his choices (probably knowing the consequences) and may still make thesame choices if history was reversed to give him a second chance.
Why should some people think that SCNC is the altimate choice that everybody should embrace? Just as much as some anglophone Cameroonians are tied to the CPDM, or are willing to sell their souls to the "devil", so too are others ready to distance themselves from this thing called the SCNC.To this group of Cameroonians,it has no future and is just another conspiracy to serve selfish agendas.
You might hold the SCNC in high esteem (which yoiu have every right to) but mind you that nobody has the right to drag others to the choices that he or she makes.

The retired honourable did not say anything concerning Fru Ndi,Fon Lawrence. That the sdf has crises speaks volumes we know where the problems are coming from and know how these problems need solving.
In his resignation letter as interim SG of the sdf which was published in this forum we all know what he said of Fru Ndi's manner in managing the party.
These guys all know Fru ndi is the problem rocking the sdf and Ngwasiri once said some are afraid to tell the Dictator off.
If we have to save the sdf Fru ndi must step down.He is the problem.

How long will it take Cameroonians to understand that there is no government in place in Cameroon. All we have is a bunch of liars and thieves. It is a shame that they are accepting now that there have a problems of CORRUPTION in Cameroon. No one in his right mind will join the present Government party in Cameroon. I spent ten years of my life working in the Magistrate Court Limbe and High Court in Buea. Those who doubt my integrity should ask Justice Inglis and Chief Justice Endeley. My colleagues who were accepting bribe in those days went straight to the drinking places after work. It has been my considered opinion that bribe is duplicity which is bad for public policy---my opinion since thirty-five years ago has built a solid and unshakeable foundation---the Biya Presidency have showed in all forms and shapes that there are destroyers and not fixers. My fellows, Southern Cameroonians, we should be ashamed to continue to follow people who have no sense of direction and no conscience. Take for instance, the roads from Limbe (Victoria) to Kumba were tarred in the fifties and after over fifty years, the roads are nightmares. My humble suggestion is that we should consolidate ourselves and get out of a system which is only interested in its stomach. In 2003, Cardinal Tumi warned that unemployed graduates are "raw materials for war", he was blamed for encouraging war. His vision came through last week when Southern Cameroonians were being enlisted for military training. Last year, in his State of Union speech, President George Bush said "FREEDOM IS A GIFT FROM GOD", of course, not from whoever claims to be the most powerful individual in the world---such a person will die but SOUTHERN CAMEROON WILL LIVE FOR EVER. Nkombengo of Greater Washington.

The exchange of comments below the story on appointment of "ambassadors" and "high commissioners" is about the most constructive I've ever read on The Post newsline: a well-meaning, straight-to-the-point complaint, an honest question in good faith and a response with as much clarity as the contributor could afford.
This is the spirit that should reign among good people, compatriots who put their fatherland above little personal, parochial, petty guerrilla agendas.

I doubt your English comprehension ability.Go back and verify if I mentioned some where in the above write up that honorable Ndobegang said any thing about Fru Ndi.
I simply appreciated him for speaking constructively and not saying things that are detrimental to the SDF as you and Mukete will always want.
To repeat what I said in simple English so that you can understand;I said he spoke positively about the SDF and that you and Mukete will not be happy to here someone speak positively about the SDF,because to you, any one who says anything which is not intended to destroy the SDF is a "blind" supporter of Fru Ndi
Posted by: Fon Lawrence | Thursday, 20 April 2006 at 04:01 PM
Hon. Dr. Ndobegang, you are fully right using President Regan's quote "If you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen". I believe getting out of the heat means making a choice you deem best. I think for any right thinking Cameroonian who claims to be in the opposition and then decamp to join CPDM has never been in the opposition in the first place. People like Martin Nkemgu and the others were spies working for the oppressive regime we have and pretending to be millitants of the opposition. These are people who contribute to the sufferings of Cameroonians by continuously fuelling the activities of the oppressive regime we have in place for their selfish individual welbeings while the majority of Cameroonians are knashing their teeth for survival. In my opinion these doubious individuals and their offsprings owe reparations to Cameroonians. Thess people wilfully delay the advancement of democracy in our country and encourage the clinging to power of the most corrupt regime in the world in our country increasing the sufferings of the common Cameroonian and portraying a bad image about our country to the outside world. Never mind, you will one day pay for your actions. Where is Saddam Husein, Idi-Amin, Mobutuh and many others? It will one day rain on your roofs. I nearly jumped out of the window one morning while in Europe taking breakfast in a shared kitchen with other students when one of my neighbours came to me and said, i just found out from the papers that Cameroon is the most corrupt country in the world. I was dumbfounded and could not say a word. She went further by showing me that look, our country (hers) is the least corrupt country in the world. They all burst into laughter. Bros and sis, i had the worst breakfast ever in my life. I tried to no avail to convince this girl and the others. I believe from that day she never trusted whatever thing that comes out from my mouth. The questions i will like to ask Cameroonians: 1) what future are we building for our offsprings (children)?
2) what image are we portraying to the outside world about our country?
3) Should we fold our arms and watch our beloved country dragged to mudd by some individuals?
I will be very grateful if learned colleagues of this forum will bring up suggestions on how we can contribute to bring the much needed change in Cameroon. I am not a politician but i strongly believe that a change in Cameroon through politics in recent times seems impossible if the mentality of our people doesnot change. Those in power understand the sufferings and weakness of the needy and are therefore manipulating them at their will to remain in power. I will end here for now and i very much appreciate the contributions of all those in the house.

An American student was once asked who was the better candidate for president and she issued this disgusting indictment of a remark . "ALL POLITICIANS ARE CROOKS".Kindly disprove me with facts and I'll gladly defer to you.
From Ngwasiri Mr. Fru Ndi Ebibi-SDF ,Biya and CPDM, one thing counts-what are my interests, cut of the deal, etc.I for one would take personal responsibility for my life rather than mortgage it to power drunk ego maniacs whose sole goal is to cling onto power like tigers while their claws bleed the populace to emaciation and misery.

Mr Ndobegang,
I don't wanna believe Fru Ndi has brainwashed you as he has been doing.Even Charles Taylor the butcher, before he left monrovia, had some supporters. But, they are of the minority. For Fru Ndi, to test his popularity, the SDF should organize a free and fair election.Fru will come out as the loser and it shouldn't take place in Bamenda for that's what he wants so that his opponents would be harrassed and molested. That would not work. For a free election to take place it should be out of Bamenda. Many SDF conventions have taken place in Bamenda. Is that the only town that can host a convention? There is a conspiracy here and you will all see during and after the convention.I will re-iterate that Fru Ndi should step down to save the party. We should look at the future before making our judgments.
Question:Can the SDF under Fru Ndi win the Presidency and more seats in the house and councils?
My answer is NO, because he has proven his weaknesses and has also proven his shortcomings. He has lost two presidential elections, loose more seats than expected in the parliament and more council seats. He has helped to deepened differences between fellow members and has made the party to be concerntrated in the northwest province. The SDF has lost its momentum in the Littoral,Southwest,West,Center,East and the South provinces. What a fall and a shame under Fru Ndi's rule.He will never recover from that fall and I donot see anybody helping him to revive himself.
Power to the people and equal opportunity.
Fru Ndi should resign.

DAY 2. FASTING AND PRAYERS CONTINUE...
TAKING A BREAK!
I AM ORGANISING A ONE WEEK FASTING AND PRAYER.
I wish to announce publicly that I'm taking a break from replying to querries and making contributions on this forum. I think that some writers need serious spiritual care and attention. I really do sincerely pity them especially in the situation where even in obvious cases, they can't still see. The above article is not something we ought to brainstorm about. It speaks for itslef. Only posessed persons like Mukete will do. I'll NOT relent my efforts from exorcising this drunkard, dullard and idiot. Modern medicines as they think, can't do the trick...ONLY GOD. Only God, I re-iterate. I therefore call on members to go on fasting and prayers. Just what I'm about doing. I regret any inconveniences my absence may cause.
So, Klemenceau, Fon Lawrence, Watesih, knganjo, Henry Alex, Aaron Nyangkwe, Boy, Atemangy Awunjia Terrence, Washow and the rest of this think factory I enjoin you to continue the struggle. I'll be back in about a week time.
Stay blessed and keep praying.

Morfaw Rene,
I agree with you 100% that these political prostitutes are a disgrace to Cameroon. In our struggle for political emancipation, people should have their political opinions and hold strong to them. The only problem I see is that neither the SDF nor the CPDM has any real fundamental political ideology that people hold. What we see is selfish interests. But I am not one to get into that.
Tita Mofaw,
These people displaying their political prostitution are a disgrace to Cameroon. Simply because Cameroon needs a critical mass of enlightened people to move us forward. We need each and everyone. That is why, I will come after you when you preach tribal hatred. Thank you for adopting the idea in my previous posting that each man should be accountable for his/her actions. Thank God, you did not choose to bash "Mbanwa" people in this case. May be because a "Mbanwa" person was speaking sense in the article.
Ngonyama,
Political neutrality is synonymous with ignorance but I will leave you where you want to stay. Suffice it to say that it was an American President JFK who said "the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in the face of a moral crisis choose to profess their neutrality." Politicians are crooks, you say. Though I am inclined to disagree with you, I will accept that opinion. And ask you to present an alternative to the political system we now have. One which of course excludes politicians. Give that to us and we will glad you make you emperor of Cameroon.
Akoson,
Thank heavens you are going to spare us your match with the mukete camp. I honestly think all of you waste enough time coming up with new ways of insulting each other. Whether it is telepathic medical procedures or religious hogwash. In any case, please do not waste your time going without food. For the Bible clearly says in Isaiah that true fasting is taking care of widows, orphans and the needy. That is true fasting. I urge you to adopt a kid in Cameroon and send the kid fifty pounds a month for his/her education. That is true fasting. If we all do it, we can save a child from hunger and educate them for better democracy tomorrow. Not insults. And since you have Jesus Christ in your life, you do not need to fast. That was Jesus' answer when asked why his disciples did not fast. Now spare us the religious stories and stick to the topic at hand.

Dear Readers,
Its my very first. Just want to make a very short comment.
It amazes me how quick we try to rubbish the comments of others. There is only one thing that can make us move forward; accepting that people may have different views and are entitled to air them. Wise people seek to find out why but foolish and selfish people quickly rubbish them.
Anyway, you guys should keep suffocating one another mentally as the whole political life wire of the country goes down the drain.
When democracy fails, Dictatorship takes its place breeding Anarchy. Anarchy leads to Apathy. Apathy leads to Frustration and Hatred. The product is war. War begotten bullets and bombs.
And Bombs and Bullets are not a respecter of persons, not even Fru Ndi, Paul Biya, Ngwasiri or you and I, the ordinary Cameroonians.
I have seen war and dead. Not Good.

Dear Readers,
Sorry about this posting that has got no relation to this topic. But I am placing it here bcos many will read it as they delve into our political problems. Read below and help to warn your sister or brother in UB
WARNING! WARNING! HEALTH HAZARD
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am really touched by the high level of incidents of HIV/ AIDS in the South West Province inparticular and Cameroon in general.
People are becoming more aware of this scourge and are doing all they can to adopt the right attitudes. I am particularly concerned with our young brothers and sisters in the University of Buea. Please, there is this very rich man, with a BIG TURBO going around spreading the HIV virus. Please be aware and do all you can to avoid him. He is ready and willing to give you huge sums of money to have unprotected sex with you and condemn you a life of humiliation, pain and slow death. There are many girls who have already falling victim and have passed the virus to their unsuspecting boyfriends. Please, lets stand up as a people and condemn such wicked men and their attitudes.
We cannot win the war against HIV/AIDS if we fail to expose such individuals and hold them accountable for their crimes.
Please, I repeat, this man is a rich and influential figure. Eventhough he flies to Europe regularly to get Antivirals, he knows he is living on burrowed time. And he is hell bent on infecting as many young girls as possible. UB Girls be WARNED and be AWARE that you are his target. He lives in Douala and comes in regularly to kill you.
Please DONOT let this happen to you or your beloved sister or brother.
Heed my advice and avoid this so called MBOMA.
I will not name names but might resolve to giving you some hints of this individual .

Without insulting you I would like to ask you what kind of fasting you are indulging in when there is an ongoing political game of insults between you and the other fellow's camp ? Haven't u read what the bible says that if you bring your gift to the altar and discovers you have odd against your neighbour ,better leave it there, go first reconcile with your neighbour then you can offer to God?
You have rightly named your team members above while going for your fasting? Are you kidding or insulting God if really you wanna fast? Gentleman if this valuable time you guys spend here bickering ,insulting ,lambasting and tearing down yourselves could be chanelled to some useful discussion on some projects back home, then that would be a worthwhile initiative.
In any case fast but fast aright

Yea Molyko!
If only people could face the reality in Cameroon the country could maybe get out of its' trauma.
I feel really bad for those young boys in UB.They should restrain from all activities that involves the transmission of body fluids with the UB girls.
I say so because it seems those who are importing HIV to the institutions are the chics who often are compensated with huge sums of money by their employers (the mbomas). So, even if they become infected with the virus, atleast, they are well compensated and have enough money to take care of themselves.
My innocent young guys,I sometimes pity you because these girls, despite their HIV status (and the huge salary that they receive) they still demand the small pocket allowance that you squeeze from your parents.

Fon Laurence, Valley has never learnt to say anything positive about Fru Ndi.That is why he gets panics anytime someone speaks favourably about the sdf. When one sounds positive he or she is a blind Fru Ndi supporter. If there is anything we want some of them to understand is the unity of the sdf.A fragmented sdf is will never benefit anyone. That is what we stand for in this forum. To fellows like Valley Fru Ndi is the only problem in the sdf. This to me is wrong.NEC in general carries part of the blame.Does it make any sense for any sinior militant of the party like prof Asonganyi to claim that there are rumours of financial dealings between Fru Ndi and the regime in power when he cannot substantiate his claim? Is it reasonable for an sdf parliamentarian aspiring to the post of Chairman to spread unfounded rumour at a press conference and resort to insult instead of presenting his vision for the party and for Cameroon? Is it ok for a founding father who has all along been part of an illegality to suddenly turn around, pretend to be an angel and summoned his own his convention knowing fully well that one had been summoned to examine the problems plaguing the party and organised elections? Fru Ndi is not alone but the entire NEC ranging from Ngwasiri, Mbah Ndam,Asonganyi,Nkemgu,Yoyo,Effimba,Ndebagang etc. These problems could have been solved within the party had the Munas and the Ngwasiris not resorted to blackmail and political terrorism.Valley of England should understand that Ndobegang never resigned from his post as interim SG because of Fru Ndi.He simple stated that he would have prefered a political solution to the problem. Also, he stated there were procedural problems regarding the trial of Asonganyi. So Mr Valley of England where do you get your informatiom from? From Mukete? Please, watch out this guy is the greatest liar in Cameroon. You are also advised to read all articles in between the lines for proper comprehension. Finally,Mr Valley of England do not always write if you have nothing to write.
Akoson do not forget to pray for this forum as well as Cameroon. Some of our contributors need special prayers too.I am referring to Mukete and Valley of England. You know the bible does not preach hatred and falsehood.Pray for Fru Ndi and the sdf as well.

I think Ako is right to bring HIV/AIDS issues on this forum because it seems most of the contributors here are the so called bushfallers.
From the way they write and the haste in which they jump into conclusions and pass judgements each time that they read a piece of news item from cameroon (without analysisng the content and the context of the story)one can easily determine what they are doing abroad.
It is either X from France or V from Cuba,or Y from America or XX from China etc.See the havoc that bushfallers are causing to underaged girls in Molyko.Ofcourse, that is how HIV is spread from one girl to the next.

The recent resignations in the SDF(the only party that had the semblance of an opposition party) and subsequent crossing over to the CPDM is a very clear lesson to all true cameroonians (those who want a better Cameroon) that they should follow ideologies and not people. All the election riggings in Cameroon that prevented the SDF from acceding to power has proven that all those purporting to fight for the people were "fighting for their belly". As a matter of fact their patience has worn out and so the thronging to the 'chop people dem money' party.
The question now is: is Cameroon doomed?
Posted by: Bame | Friday, 21 April 2006 at 11:55 AM
Tita Mofaw, your comment is humorous but true .
Menjoh, you should have told the girl that the Cameroon she talked about is La Republique and that you come from Southern Cameroons a different country in toto La Republique.
Ashwel Maloba,Your comments and arguments are very cogent but I am filled with curiosity about your stance on sacred things especially about God.
To all,I find alot of rigmarole in the comments presented in this forum. In my humble opinion, this forum is not for comparison, challenge, insults and so forth but a means to make sincere verbal and ideological contributions in a bid to provide a definitive solution to the plight of our country. When such things transcend in the SDF and undue regard being put there,we thwart the object of the only means to solving our problem which is not achievable by the SDF but the SCNC.We have to come into existence first before trying to make our system a utopia. We are not part of La Republique, that name existed before we had independence by joining them.So by adopting the name,La Republique therefore took the intrepidity to announce to the world that we are extinct. That is what the SCNC is trying to counteract by saying to the world through international bodies like the UN,UNPO,ICJ etc that we are alive and have to be recognised. This is the way I look at it.

I hope this is a forum where Cameroonians can have a healthy debate about our country and people. All opinions are definitely welcome. While I have often responded to the elegant insults that people design and throw around, I am not one to engage in that stuff. I genuinely cherish a clash of ideas rather than persons. And for me, every idea is fair game. Including god and religion. Religion in general, be it hindu, islam, buddhism etc. And I hope that answers your question about 'sacred' things. For me, there are no holy cows. But I suppose this is not the right place to encourage debate about religion. However, may be if people stop thinking that god will do things for them, they can do it for themselves.

Shame on to SDF !!! Why did you put on the heat the some of you cannot withstand from within ? I those of you who are withstanding the heat are not better off than those who landed in a furnance. Rebaptize yourself and your ideologies for the better, shame on to you !!

I pity the SDF because under the current Anglophone leadership, it is doubtful if this party can ever effect a meaningful and democratic change in Cameroon.Whether the leadership accepts this or not, France will never allow an Anglophone as a leader in Cameroon because she fears losing again, one of her priceless assets in Africa.she has made mistakes in Rwanda, Angola, Congo, Chad, Senegal and the consequences in the metropole (France)has been devastating- with unemploment amongst the highest in Europe. Her activities in Côte D'Ivoire prove the point that she is determined to stay in her ex-colonies.
France in collaboration with her Camerounese annexationist has made it a policy to ensure a continuous division within the SDF. So, it should come by no surprise to many, when people like Nkemgu & others will have to decamp to the CPDM.I urge the SDF to stop stealing the show from the SCNC because this movement has a genuine and compelling case. To restore Anglophone inelienable rights wthin Cameroon, it should join forces with the SCNC and stop being ambiguous in the Cameroon political scene.Let's not forget that this same division within the ranks of the Anglophone elites and politicians put them in the undesireable situation they now find themselves

Please, given that this is an intellectual forum and also the fact members of this forum are greatly interested in the wellbeing of all Cameroonians and want things to change for the better for their brothers and sisters in Cameroon, I wish to urge everyone to use this forum for a construcive debate.
We should not use this forum for accussations and counter accusations. This will not take Cameroon to anywhere. A debate not influenced by emotions will go a long way to promote meaningful development in Cameroon, since it will help inspire others.
One should not fail to see that the SDF has been torn apart because of debates greatly influenced by emotions. If everything had been constructive, the SDF would not have found herself in this mess. We should equally understand that neither the respectable Ni John nor his dissidents created or founded democracy. They are all learning just like other advanced democratic nations by using the best they know and the best they have to see the best in Cameroon. I understand someone will ask me if the SDF is actually using the best it has. The best someone knows might not be the best option, but I think if someone is doing his best, then we should not use our best to do our worse just to bring him down but do our best to make him rise.
I strongly believe that Ni John would not hessitate to give up power if some do not try to look down on him and undermind his efforts in the SDF. It is the way everything has been presented. It is not how much good one desires to happen to Our Fatherland that will bring progress, it is how we put the different institutions of progress together that will bring progress.
Please, I once more seek the indulgence of everyone on this forum to help draw a way forward for Cameroon and construct the bases for a successful Cameroon while standing on the foundations of fairness and progress. It does not help if we criticise without outlining any way forward.
Lets try to answer the question, "What is the way forward for Cameroon." We should also have in mind that even the most democratic parties or countries in the world have their own problems. If we make fairness our tool, unbiased judgement our sister and progress our way, then we will be heading towards a prosperous Cameroon. A Cameroon that will be bring all people from the different walks of life to sacrifice for their brothers and sisters. Cameroon is poor in development but rich in resources. I believe there are many people out there who are willing to sacrifice for one another, but they can't do this when those in positions of influence are doing their best to take advantage of their sacrifice and make themselves wealthy.

Rene Murena,
Thanks so much for your contribution. If we can start thinking in that direction, then we must have realised 50% solution of the political impasse in our country.
Unfortunately here,we have people who think that just insults will provide a solution to the problems plaguing our country. It is often said that two wrongs do not make a right;do we simply go ahead to support wrong things because we think Fru Ndi has failed? when we censure,we should be able to end with suggestions for a way forward. We should not be deceived by those who benefit from the dreadful regime and intentionally try to creat confusion here;those who benefit from the CPDM will never want to see it leave power and therefore will always love to see a divided opposition.Of course on this Forum,we have children of CPDM pig guns who know fully well what they benefit from the CPDM and will do their best to fuel to SDF crises through what they write.
As far as I am concerned,it is time Cameroonians take responsibility and should be able to say with one voice that enough is enough.Cameroonians should not continue to suffer in silence and expect God to come to their aid.Looking globally we will see that demonstrations are providing a solution to situations where peoples rights are tempered with. The most recent cases can be seen in France and Nepal;the French authority introduced an unpopular labour law and the people stood under one umbrella, said no to it and Jacque Chira was forced to scrap it off and in Nepal protesters continue their demonstrations ignoring a curfew that was put in place until the King was forced to restore democracy.Cameroonians should be able to learn from cases like these.

Fon Lawrence,
If what we write on this forum is too much for some people ,they should retire.Nobody forced anyone to write here. The bitter game of demagogy and insult being referred to here is the same bitter game going on in the country. It is not because we are living in Europe that we want to forget about the plight of our people and suddenly become moral instruction teachers. Some people are trying to play the star here by presenting themselves as angles in a rotten situation like ours. The Cameroonian situation only warrants two things:fight against it or die.
Either we are for what the CPDM preaches and does or we are against it.Seating on the fence and trying to dish out advice only shows that we are running away from the truth. When you live in Europe and you suddenly become blind to what the CPDM is doing shows you are escapist. No right thinking person will say Fru Ndi has not made mistakes, but some people want to use this to destroy the SDF.Most of them are CPDM sponsored and family members and children of CPDM lords.Reading the reactions of many Cameroonians shows they are completely overwhelmed by the turn of things the only party that carried their hopes is witnessing.Instaed of coming up with proposal on how to salvage the situation,we have instead seen the old CPDM game being played out.So you expect us to cross our legs and laugh? Never!
There`s no need referring to us as fellows involved in demagogy. We are not hiding,i mean myself Watesih,Fon Lawrence, klemenceau,Boo,Akoson, Kgnangjo,Sammy,Alex,Jokwi,Nyankwe, washow,
Enoh,Mimi,JB Samba,Agemdia. We respond to insults and also discuss ideas from Mukete,
Agbormbai,Nke Fosung,Michael,Vally,Fritzane,
Prudence,Emah,Rene Murena,Christopher Ngosong etc.
The way the POST puts up its captions
is to make them contentious,so we can better
go deep into the problems bedevelling our country.A rotten country like Cameroon cannot be discussed by patting people on the back. There`s no other way to veil the message when confronting the CPDM and its offshoots or when denouncing any weakness in the SDF.Those who are not ripe for such a shock should go home and take care of their wives, husbands or babies.
I mentioned earlier ,that those who want to write love poems when the country is at war with its very self should continue. It doesn`t also frighten us when anybody takes sides in any debate here. The situation in Cameroon does not warrant people to start pretending to be moderates now.The South Africans can pretend moderation now, they are already seated.China can pretend moderation now,it is prospering. What do we Cameroonians have to pretend about? 24 years of lies telling,
promiscuity,Homosexuality,feymania,corruption,embezzelment,posturing?

that was very good watesih
thats shows the concern you we have for our country.when abuse people here it does not mean we hate them.it means we are forcing our ideas to pass through.sometimes i call you fool in a particular context.not that you are a fool.we are those who have concern for our country.there are people here who are cpdm.this people will never want anything good came from cameroon.we have too keep on and you should not cary mukete in your heart cos he is also a concern cameroonian.stay bless but fru ndi needs to step down for the sdf to grow.

From the two previous comments, I see that even on this forum, there are camps pitted against camps, like in the SDF of today. How can we reason objectively when we belong to camps? Obviously this is not a good sign. I don't know where this takes us to. Our country is so engulfed in tribalism, sectarism, tribal groups, injangi houses, homosexuality, etc etc and we see where we are heading to. Could we just present our points without forming groups or other kinds of associations? And especially in a purely intellectual forum like this one? It is my special wish.
Posted by: ateba | Sunday, 23 April 2006 at 06:43 AM
Watesih,
Great points!
Your piece of April 23, 2006 at 02.32 AM was great. And if Cameroonians should reason in an objective way, then I think things will go on smoothly. Thanks for that piece again.
Personally, when I find people hitting their heads when they read things written by others - even by those they do not even know-, I just simply laugh. In fact I laugh most when I find readers actually trying to nail me on the cross, even going as far as sending me threats through e-mails. These things just make me laugh.
Those who have been using this forum will agree with me that I have used this same forum to support some of the politicians I now criticize. But what I finally realized was the fact that some readers always, ONLY, support the fact that other politicians should be criticized while others should not. They give the impression that only some politicians are devils while others are SAINTS sent by God to come and relieve Cameroon of all its sins. They would hit hard on anyone who dare say anything negative about the political leader they adore, and would jump into calling everyone to stand behind the political leader they adore. They would even go as far as wanting EVERYONE to stand by what they beliieve in. For them, anyone who dare criticize a particular leader is someone who has been bought over by the CPDM and is being sponsored by the CPDM. This is always the song. Yet they fail to understand that they too could be taken as people bought over by another political leader. Is it only the CPDM that buys over people? As a political leader, is it impossible for the leader of the SDF to buy and sponsor people to defend his actions? Why is it that anyone criticizing our opposition leader is immediately linked to the devilish and unrepentant CPDM? Why do we criticize others when they do certain things, only for us to consider the SAME thing to be good or normal when they are done - IN THE SAME WAY AND STYLE - by the political leader we support? Why must our eyes be open to the wrongs of others but not open to the same wrongs our own leader performs?
At first, I did not realize the gravity of the fact that some readers are trying to force us into supporting only one political leader and even wanting to give us the impression that he is someone who has no faults. I couldn't accept the fact that of all the problems rocking the SDF and our country, the SDF hierarchy has no blames to carry. This was a bitter thing for me to swallow. I couldn't accept the fact that no one dare criticize the SDF hierarchy. When the SDF hierarchy goes public to criticize some SDF officials, people want us to behave as if nothing is taking place, but when another SDF offical criticizes the SDF leadership, it is just as if the Pope has decided to denounce God and Holy Mary. Man, I am too old to accept this open face hypocrasy.
Look Watesih, we are all adults and concerned Cameroonians, and I think no adult will allow others to dictate to his conscience. We can not sit with our mouths close when we realize that those politicians having our trust are those actually killing us. We can not accept the fact that those who have our trust, misuse it for their personal interests. If we want to effect meaniful changes in Cameroon, then our judgements and criticisms should not be one-sided. We have to condenm that which is wrong, even if they have been commited by those we defend. This is my problem.
On realizing that some readers were trying to use this forum as a congregation to offer songs and praises to the leader they support, and to climb on any other reader who refuses to sing their songs of praise, I decided to be in the "OPPOSITION INSIDE THE OPPOSITION." On realizing that others are trying to force us into preaching what we do not practice, I decided to actually screen anything coming from the PRAISE-SHOP that was already instituted in this forum.
Yes, Paul Biya is our number one enemy. But should this allow us to be used and manipulated upon by those who had the original intention of bringing Biya down? Should we continue to close our eyes to the fault of our leaders simply because they had done certain good things in the past? Should we worship our political leaders to the extend that we do not see the wrong things they do? When we send our children to school, we do this so that they can see far more than want we do.
Watesih, you have finally written something good, and I bet you that if readers are not objective in the way they use this forum to throw undeserved praises on the person they support, then I will continue to do my best so as not to lead Cameroonians into the pit of destruction. If some readers do not radically change their mentality, especially in the way they criticize others while supporting others, then I will do everything to ensure that Cameroonians are not taken as fools. This is an objective that I will never give up, and readers should have been aware that I have the power of balance in this forum.I will balance any unbalanced equation that is posted to this forum; by looking on the unexposed sides of any discussions.
And the one good thing is that, these unacceptable tendencies of only wanting to praise a single person while criticising others, is the motivating force that gives me the energy, wisdom, and determination to write. When some readers want to twist facts, I present the hidden side of the facts, so that readers should judge for themselves. I untwist the twisted. Before, no one could have imaginerd the facts and petinent questions I have asked on the John Kohtem issue. Readers were being pulled into seeing only one side of the whole issue, until I finally exposed the other side. This is what I refer to, as "ALL OR NOTHING LAW." If we have to say it, then we have to say it all or we maintain silence. There is no half truth!
Let those who want to construct Cameroon follow the advice you have given. If they continue to be one-sided in the way they see things, then believe me, I will always untwist anything they try to twist. That is my role here. Except those praise singers change radically and allow objective discussions in this forum, then I will continue to send out my messages in the form that penetrates the hearts of all those who have honest hearts. And in doing this I will careless about what skeptics may say about me.
Cameroonians living abroad and those living here in Cameroon are now discussing in this forum as equals. Before, it was just as if some Cameroonians were sitting "up there" and telling other Cameroonians "down there" want must be done and what is correct. Before, it was as if the keys to Cameroon's salvation was in the hands of those living abraod. It was as if those living abroad were merely dictating to us what is correct. This mentality changed for good when I started untwisting the twisted facts about those living abroad. Today, Cameroonians are writing freely from Bamenda, Buea, Kumba, Yaounde, without any fear or inferiority complex. This is pride for us all.
Watesih, have an excellent Sunday.

Watesih ,Mukete,Lawrence and cos
If you claim to be doing some good to our fatherland then far from it that personal insults and tongue lashing with comprise your writeups. Its either a Ma mary addressed as a prostitute or Mukete addressed as an idiot trying to become human or another fellow trying to preach a NW/SW divide or graffi palaver etc.
Waresih
Good you have quoted China,South Africa etc.But I will refer you to the archives to see the mothods Mandela ,Martin Luther King Junior others used to accomplish their goals
The Lion man sits at Etoudi playing the role of the tortoise ,you guys sit here playing the role of the hippotamus and the elephant.
Tell me whether this rangling going on between your two camps will contruct the road from Akwaya or build the Ombe bridge or give electricity to the Ako man?
Also tell me if the Ngwarisirianism and Fru Ndism going on between you guys will change the wanton exploitation of the forest of Mamfe without a single bridge constructed in that village
Tell me if the your game will change all you guys from being considwered as BIAFRANS,ANGLOFOOLS ,LES ENEMIES DANS LA MAISON?
Guys we have left the substance and we are chasing the shadow. For your information Lake Nyos shows 50% potentials of exploding again and no one is saying anything again. When it happens we will read tons of articles from supposedly learned people of how the govt has planted another Bomb to kill the Northwesteerners because they are in the SDF or whatever.
Guys your game isnt a game worth playing at all

Mukete,
First I wish to appreciate your tone today and most important I am reading an article from you which is free of insults.I also observed that you took somedays off this forum;I think in the course of that you reflected.
You have appreciated Watesih;going through Watesih´s contribution,I did not see any marked difference with the previous contributions. To me the appreciation is an indication that you are turning over a new live which is highly welcome. All along we have always stressed that we don´t hold any leader in adulation; we simply want a way forward.
Let me try to respond to the main issue you raised in your contribution;that we should not ctritize some leaders and show support for others.
This really embarasses me;given that no one is perfect,if we specialise to critize, then what will be the way forward?
The CDPM has brought the nation to her knees;our objective is to support a party which can emerge strong enough to challenge the presnt Monarchy.Nobody on this forum says Fru Ndi is without weaknesses;I have pointed out to you time and again that the way you censure Fru Ndi is detrimental to the SDF and not Fru Ndi as a person.I will also stand strong against anyone who shows support for Ngwasiri who has taken a wrong approach to tackle the problems plaguing the SDF;his action goes a long way to exacerbate and enervate the SDF.If Ngwasiri and Co organised themselves and Challenge Fru Ndi in an election,I will never be against him.On the other hand I will be the last person to fail to recognise what Fru Ndi has done so far.
Mukete from what you have said,it means you want all us play the role of a referee in Cameroon politics;this will not take us any way. Some of us have chosen a team and will do our best to assist our team succeed. We cannot sit and condemn everything;as Watesih said,we are either for the CPDM or against the CPDM.

Mukete my man, I appreciate your write up. NO INSULTS. This was really good and I read along with lot of delight. Let's keep moving forward and argue constructively and objectively whenever we don't agree. I think we will finally get to our goal of removing our beloved country Cameroon from the fangs of the tiger in the name of the head of state.

Posted by: Klemenceau | Sunday, 23 April 2006 at 01:05 PM
Fon Lawrence,
I give you my assurance that whenever I am insulted, I will do EXACTLY the same. No sin is bigger than others. No insult is polite! This means that before people insult me - in their own "small way", they should expect my own insults - in my own small way. Why should my own insults be more harmful than the ones directed against me for my own personal view? If readers think that I should maintain my calm while people keep on insulting me for MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS, then they are making a very big mistake.
I fully know what is good and bad, and so I do not need lectures to understand some of these things. I never axpress anger when people insult me. I simply hit back in my own way, even if it means tearing apart the hearts that wanted to tear mine. That is very simple. I do not insult those who insult me to make them happy. I also insult them to induce the pains they thought they were inducuing on me.
If a one-year baby is clapped on the face, the child cries. That is the baby's own way to react. I do not react to insults - big or small- by crying. That will be going too low and mean.
If people find my own insults very bitter to swallow, then they should not insult me when I express my personal views. They should simply convince readers to accept what they personally think without insulting me or telling the forum that I am sponsored by the CPDM, etc. Some have even used this forum to link me to Nfon Mukete - the butcher of Kumba. Some even want to tell me the topics on which I MUST comment.
Nobody tells me on how to react to those who insult me and link me to the CPDM party and president Paul Biya.
In concluding, I want to state that no degree of appeals or prayers would make me close my eyes when I am attacked for expressing my own personal views. When I was criticizing Paul Biya, Musonge and Inoni, using this same forum, why was I not insulted or accused of being sponsored by the SDF? Why the other way round always? Why must people always link those who criticize the SDF leadership to the CPDM? So without the CPDM, our eyes will continue to remain closed to the urgly sides of those we have given our trust and confidence to?
It is better not to read what I write than to insult me for thinking how I see things. If I am insulted once - just once- I personally decide on how many times and on how I should react. And when I react, it is not for fun.

FASTING AND PRAYERS END TODAY! Did it work?? We've our consciences to answer that!
My Dearest Cameroonians,
When I embarked on fasting and prayers most people thought I was joking. They quoted me for making a mockery of God and whether or NOT I was serious about it. Most people thought I was using it as a means to mock my detractors and those who've remained blind to see the good reasons for us castigating the treachery of Ngwasiri. Others(fiction writers) said I'm roaming the streets of London mad...and said I should be flown home for traditional doctors to cure my "insanity". They went wild and narrated a story I've never been involved in. They're so good in frame ups. I don't understand why guys in this forum cannot see that some guys here are agents. I WILL NEVER STOP FROM CALLING GUYS AGENTS INASMUCH AS I'VE GOT PROOFS AND WILLING TO BRANDISH THEM WHEN TIME COMES. Everyone, except a few were intelligent enough to see that I was serious and they did send me their own biddings which I DID NOT ignore. I've been praying relentlessly hard for them...the outcome's unspeakable. This forum is becoming more mature.
We can see that from many changes worth mentioning - Vally in England has now understood that what we talk about here's true. But the only bad thing is that he's denying to OPENLY declare that. His recent attitude(shying away) and statements can confirm this. His contributions are becoming more and more repeatitive. Please, Vally we welcome you to the truth. Secondarily, without naming names those who've been terribly insultive have changed their views and are now reasoning like MEN. It is NOT my doing but that of GOD...Let's thank GOD together.
Most people may think that whatever thing they do is out of their own reason. My challenge is a categorical NO! Not out of your making...GOD ALMIGHTY has been controling the comments recently. Some of us here are atheist...again, I'm not naming names(but if we're pushed to the wall, we'll do cos the TRUTH must always be said). They fail to understand that if they don't go closer to GOD, they can't know him. "Seek me and you'll find me"...the Bible states.
While I was praying, I was inspired by some lil story I'd through a vision. Please, don't take these things as though I'm joking. I'M NOT. I'm very serious about it. We can play with man but NOT with God. Consider whatever thing I tell you about GOD sincere. Some of you want some of us to become pastors before you listen to us. You mustn't be a pastor to preach. Before you read this story, sit back and reflect well and try to trust that what I say in this forum is always the truth. Trust me for one second.
I'd like to share this inspired story with you all...
I dreamt how a man went to a barbershop to have his hair and his beard cut as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. I can remember how they talked about so many things on various subjects. In that dream I felt happy when they suddenly touched the subject of God.
The barber said:
"Look man, I don't believe that God exists as you say so."
"Why do you say that?"
Asked the client. Well, it's so easy; you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist. Oh, tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. "I can't think of a God who permits all of these things." The client stopped for a moment thinking but he didn't want to respond so as to prevent an argument.
I was disappointed in my dream when this barber did not utter a word. It pricked my heart. I was sad. But I was happy after the barber finished his work...many things happened.
This client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with a long hair and beard (it seems that it had been a long time since he had his cut and he looked so untidy). Then the client again entered the barbershop and he said to the barber: know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How come they don't exist?" asked the barber. "Well I am here and I am a barber." "No!" - the client exclaimed. "They don't exist because if they did there would be no people with long hair and beard like that man who walks in the street."
"Ah, barbers do exist, what happens is that people do not come to me." "Exactly!"- Affirmed the client. "That's the point. God does exist, what happens is people don't go to Him and do not look for Him that's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
I leave you all with tearful eyes.
I love you all...will be back in strong gear next edition.
Don't go away.

Hi Tayong,
The blueprint of the POST news organ is that of fighting a course. When the POST got its new appellation in the 90`s,it set out to confront and laybare all the ills the CPDM regime had brought to the people. It was branded as a weapon of the opposition. It went through thick and thin.Today the POST has proven the authorities in Yaounde wrong. Its coverage of information has no colouring. It takes on the opposition as it does the government.
The way the POST crafts its headlines
makes the stories vivid and contentious.
This immediately sets the adrenaline levels
in many readers at an all time high.Tayong
communication is an art,so don`t expect everybody to excel at it.they are people who would not always come to terms with the satirical pieces the post columnists always put forth. The Post`s management has taken note of this immaturity in digesting facts, and has prefered to make this forum look like a type of "Hotline" where every
body who can tap on the keyboard is free to air his views.Psychologists will talk of a release valve. It is in this wise that people have often sought for the moderation of the POST when debates get too hot,to no avail. If the Post did something ,it would have been a sort of censorship.Cameroonians cannot enjoy the privilege of such a thing now.
All sorts of personal information has been published in the POST,some of the times groundless. But Cameroonians dare not put the POST to task, especially as ours is still a budding Democracy. It therefore seems to me that you are chilled out when talking about camps.Humanbeings are inherently political animals. This means they play politics in all aspects of their lives:at home with their families,in school with their classmates,at work with colleagues,in political parties with opponents. There`s only one way of going about this;fighting for your own ideas to go through first.More often than not when people`s ideas can`t go through the way they
like,they become personal.This is because
there is and will always be a lot of subjectivity in the way individuals want their dieas to be appreciated. The way information is put across determines the manner in which it is going to be decoded.
Lets take the Post as a case study. Why has there been a lot of venom poured?
1. Lies:Many contributors go to extremes to
tell lies in their bid to maintain supremacy
or weep up sentiments.
2. Limited Scope:Some readers can only excel when there`s a topic that gives them the leeway into castigating others. When purely social topics come up,they are in a blackout.
3.Jealousy/Gossiping: All opinion leaders have private lives, and it is out of place to laybare all their privacy in public to please individual whims and caprices.
4: Verbal Dysentary:Some contributors are so insultive that they hardly make two sentences without resorting to invectives of the most grotesque.
5: Filthy language:There are words that should never find their way to a public forum like this, but these are instead the words people take a lot of delight using.
6: Tribalism:There`s a lot of selective memory when it comes to treating information about opinion leaders. No crime is smaller or more heart-wrenching than another.
Tayong most of what is cited above comes as a result of amateurism in handling
information. Also people are fed up with the present disposition in cameroon and this is
translated into the punch we see here.As i mentioned earlier, the situation at hand in Cameroon today warrants hard talk. When we keep feigning moderation, instead of cutting the abcess open,we keep pushing ourselves deep into an eternal abyss.President Omar Bongo once said Cameroon is the only country where the Head of state can go into somebody`s home, carry the master and the wife, lay them on the ground and take away their bed.Cameroonians are expansive by nature ,but when it comes to the way they lead their lives, they start talking into their cheeks. How can people who like posturing be so docile when confronting issues governing their very existence?
Tayong, every era has its own idiosyncracies. It is not because martin Luther King,Ghandi,Mandela, preached non-violence that you will lie on your laurels and wait for manna to fall from heaven.Even the non-violence they preached saw the lost of many lives .Our era seems to be that of survival of the fittest.Where has your non-
violent diplomacy taken us? The SDF`s launching could only come about with the spilling of blood. Is it because we are called Biafrans,Anglos, that we should resign to our fate? If the negroes did where would America have been today? If Fru Ndi shied away would you be writing here today?
Tayong what did the government tell Cameroonians before the first explosion in Nyos, and what is the government telling Cameroonians today? How was the relief conducted and what is the present predicament of all the survivors? These are questions our government has never answered or even wanted to be asked. They know what the are trying to forment in Nyos.Their era is fast running out and they are playing out a theatre .They want to pull a blanket over people`s eyes that the first disaster was not man-made in order to escape the charge of crimes against humanity. They had pretended to install equipment there to check the amount of gas holdup and inform the people .The whole of Cameroon is not different from lake Nyos,so another explosion there will just be a piece of cake in a general drama of pain.

Interesting to see the turn of events over the weekend. It appears as if Watesih, finally got the message some of us were preaching. And indeed he hit my ideas first.
Watesih,
In your comment you referred to those who choose to sit on the fence or advocate sitting on the fence. I have previously quoted JFK, that "the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in a moral crisis choose to declare their neutrality". I have have suggested many times that people look to the fact that, the crisis in the SDF has nothing to do with persons but the failure of the party as a whole to implement her rules and regulations. Leadership failure as an idea has nothing to do with the person of Fru Ndi, Ngwasiri, or Nkemngu. I have also raged against the likes of Ebai James, Tita Mofaw, Mimi etc who seized the opportunity of the current crisis to go on the rampage on Bangnwa people. Neither, Akoson, yourself or Mukete spoke out against the blattant tribalism. Neither of you realised that those were the basis of the Holocaust or the Rwandan genocide. Neither of you realised that such sentiments are the exact enemies of a healthy democracy, for which we all fight for. People in here ignored what ideas were being proposed to instead concentrate or singing the praises of their chosen camp or castigating the other camp. Give me an idea that analysis the ills of Cameroonian affairs and suggests solutions independent of your chosen camp and we have debate.
Watesih, you make the obvious error of labelling anyone who does not choose a camp in the SDF a CPDM agent or relative of CPDM lord. While I recognise that ignorance, I also realise that you chastise such behaviour in your comment. You advocate that we should leave these personal squabbles, when our ideas are not being forced through. In that, I detect an ambiguous position. May be because you are out of your comfortable realm of "person support". But I hope everyone learns from that. Though we are political beings, we are controlled by ideas, some of which are more emotional than others. But all ideas do have a subjective emotional basis if you have the brains to analyse them.
Mukete,
Finally, you come to the party. You have excited me for a while with the ingenious ways in which you device insults. To me, such a person has little time to think of important things. I am glad that you have finally agreed to look at ideas and policies that could move Cameroon forward. I still notice that your whole posting, blames the whole squabbling on people who want to force their chosen idols on you. Learn to take some responsibility for your own actions. You never had a need to support Ngwasiri or go against Fru Ndi. You could have ignored all that and concentrated on diagnosing the problem and seeking a way forward.
Akoson,
I honestly think that you are the biggest joke in this forum. I say that not as an insult to your person but in reference to the type of ideas you present. I recently read that the President of Kenya Mwai Kibaki recently called a day of prayer for the crisis they are facing. On the BBC website forum discussion, someone pointed out correctly that god does not run a jail in Nairobi, nor is god a prosecutor. Mr Kibaki should route out corruption and the crisis will be gone. When people are facing real problems, there is absolutely no need to preach your religion. Cameroonians are muslims, christians, anemists, atheists, agnostics etc. The state must be separate from religion as in many a democratic country. I am an agnostic and I think you should keep your religion to yourself as I do mine.
Secondly, I have previously pointed out to you Akoson, that the Bible clearly states that true fasting is looking after widows, orphans and the poor. True fasting is not going without food. Please read Isaiah 66 before you misinterprete things again. On that same note, please check Jesus' response on the idea of fasting. Those who have Jesus like you have no need to go without food.
Please abstain from these veiled pseudo-intellectual views. Call people what you want to call them. Discuss ideas and not evidence that you alone have. Keep these dreams of yours that have been passed on the internet for years to yourself. Anyone who has not seen this supposed vision of yours passed on the internet has not been on the web for long. I personally read that as a chain email two years ago. And if you doubt that, check that Donald Rumsfeld US Defence Secretary used it in 2003 when asked why they couldn't find Saddam Hussein or WMD.
This is a forum for intellectual debate. Not for people to cut and paste things they picked up somewhere and think the rest of us haven't seen it. Fresh new ideas are most welcome.

Fon Lawrence,Knganjo,
I have been away all weekend doing what we should all try doing, see Fru ndi step down as sdf chair.
I simply reminded you Fon lawrence, that Dr Ndobegang comments on the defections from the sdf by Nkemgu and co does not mean he has shelve his views on Fru Ndi's style of running the party. His resignation seriously further exposed NEC, it furhter exposed the dictatoral tendency within that structure masterminded by Fru Ndi.He has not resended that, has he?
Nobody wants to throw insult to others, but when people deliberately tell lies to push illegality, they need correction.
I nor mukete does not beleive in Fru ndi's leadership style for reasons already advanced by more than 100 senoir sdf members, who have been unduely suspended or dismissed for trying to bring Fru ndi to order.Time is proving that these guys were all correct.
And what is he Fru ndi doing? illegally moving things the wrong way by organising a convention, placing his friends and silblings as convention co-ordinators, so he can stay as chair, and, you lots want us keep quiete,in the name of speaking good for the party. Why are you lot letting Fru ndi continue destroying the party?
We must all stand and challenge the dictator who see nothing wrong in his deeds, but receiving goodies from his friend BIYA.
We should stop lecturing here and call a spade,a spade.Fru ndi is the problem and person taking the sdf down the drain,we should all tell him so in any language possible.
Vally
England.

Ashwell molaba,
Yeah, our initial raison d`etre writing here was just to bring in fresh new ideas. Many readers like Ateba,Mukete may recall how i used to go into a heated debate with them because some type of foul or filthy language had been used. What really brought a split here is that some people took on us who had support for Fru Ndi as if we ahd committed a crime. We first allowed them to use all those
adjectives on us,but nothing can go on for ever in life. When we fought back, everybody discovered how wrong is it to be divisive.
Ashwell, there are people here like Emah with whom you will enjoy a debate of ideas without anyone raising his voice. Some of us write on practically every issue. There`s no need to waylay people and immediately Fru Ndi`s name is mentioned somewhere, then you will jump out shouting insults and doing everything to silence others. We know that some people are deficient in ideas and can better excel in a stormy situation. Many specialise in making catcalls and will never
pick up an argument where it was left out.
My second point has to do with the way people react to the English written here.I have always had the impression that it is absolutely wrong to start pinpointing
loopholes in the way people handle language.
This does not only present someone as overbearing and trying to lord it over others, but also as primitive.First ,how many Cameroonians have the privilege of having access to computers? The few that have should be heard from. They should not be made to lose face because of a language that is even foreign to us.Some of our brothers are French speaking, and we should continue to make them to know that a community of ideas is better than trying to go solo. The History of English language tells us that it has got regional varieties.
This varieties are at times distinct and incomprehensible to other users of the same language.A speaker in the South of London may not be easily understood by those in the West and East. Also this generation of Cameroonians is a type of poineering one, which is still coming to terms with information technology, globalisation. It is only by brainingstorming here using words of their choice that everyone may get abrest
with certains notions. What we can only decry
is using filthy words, which bring out a type of hooliganism in us.
Ashwell,you completely misconstrued
the message i passed across,concerning
children of CPDM lords.I did not say those who do not take sides with the SDf are children of CPDM lords.I said most of the time the children of CPDM lords are the ones
doing everything to tear the SDF apart and would not even want others to raise an eye brow.Ashwell i also have the impression that you have a flare for using foul language on people in this forum, judging from your use of words like ignorance to describe what you failed to comprehend yourself and later talking about my coming out of my comfortable realm of 'person support'.I must make it known to you that i like putting to task those who put me to task.If you are a Daniel coming to justice, you must do so with clean hands.
I never shy away from debate of any nature, neither do i shy away from confronting evil of any nature.

Watesih,
Thanks for bringing the issue of language correction and all other vices to Ashwell's attention. I'm afraid, he seems to be to proud of his ability to write perfect english that he may think everyone needs to be like him thus, do not need to write in this forum if they cannot write perfect english.
I will like to add some issues to Ashwell's attention.
Firstly, not everyone in this forum have the time to edit articles before pasting them. Many times, i write and paste articles in this forum before even reading through to realise some of the simple language and spelling mistakes i may have made.
Secondly, you cannot teach anyone a particular language by looking soo deep in a biased manner on the basic errors or spelling mistakes the person is/has been making. I lived in the scandinavia for a fairly long time and realised that most immigrants do not want to speak some national languages there for fear that they will always be judged by their inability to perfectly communicate in the language. The finnish like the swedish, the danish, the nowegians, the icelandic sometimes have the tendency (like Ashwell) to correct immigrants in a very biased way on the streets and that does'nt pull well with most immigrants. Thus, they are not psychologically motivated to learn to speak the language.
Posted by: Rexon | Monday, 24 April 2006 at 07:51 AM
I will like to add that nonetheless, Ashwell passes very interesting ideas in this forum.
Posted by: Rexon | Monday, 24 April 2006 at 07:59 AM
Watesih,
Thank you very much for your good response to my posting. Some ideas are raised in there which I will like to tackle separately.
Part I.
It is extremely important for us to recognise that ideas are better than persons. But we should also see that resorting to persons is a common human thing. Pointing out that we should stay with ideas does not mean that talking about persons is completely wrong. Everything has its own place. Please keep up the good work in your support for your chosen candidate. Let your views be shaped by principles which can allow you to change with the changing times, so that you do not remain steadfast when people move on. I say this with no malice towards you or anyone you support. Believe me.
Part II
I am guilty as charged for pointing out English mistakes in a different article. Mea culpa as they say in Latin. I will give you my motivation for resorting to that, though you have every right to choose not to accept it. I personally think that before people engage in serious political issues, they should learn the basics first. When I notice someone who cannot handle the basics, giving a lecture to people he hardly knows, I feel offended. That is just my opinion.
Part III
Ignorance is the natural human state. We are born ignorant. We learn new things each an every day. I have said this before, ignorance is nothing to be ashamed of. And when someone knows something, there is no need to lord it over others who don't. May be you misunderstood me there. The fact that I know about quantum mechanics and someone else doesn't, does not make me a better human being. The content of our character and not what we know is a true measure of human beings.
Part IV
It is easy to say that the children of the CPDM lords are tearing the SDF apart. I believe otherwise though. For me the SDF crisis is rather one of a failure to implement her rules and regulations. Everyone is now free to interprete the regulations as they see fit. It is almost tantamount to the Christian religion, where the Jehovah's Witness, the Catholics, the Protestants, the Evangelicals, the Christian Scientists, the Mormons, etc all claim their authority from the Bible. But all are fundamentally different. Blaming individuals like the Pope or Joseph Smith for splits in the Church is missing the whole point entirely. Hope you follow my analogy.
Please I encourage and support you in your fight against evil. Just stop to see that evil does not take human form, for you may be mistaken for evil yourself by the other party.
Posted by: Ashwell Molaba | Monday, 24 April 2006 at 07:59 AM
Rexon,
Thank you for your comments. I hope when you read my response, you would notice that I admit guilt to pointing out English mistakes, a view you can choose to accept or reject. Secondly, I would like to think of myself as a humble person. Though it is true that the eye, that sees cannot see itself. I apologise to anyone I have offended if I came across as proud. It is really not in my nature.

Bangwa equation in
Contemporary politics
Since independence, beginning with the early Bangwa
politicians, Hon. Nkemcha, BTB Foretia etc, the
Bangwas have been basking in the political wilderness
of this country.
Definitely there are several reasons, a passive
observer would quickly question and may place the
blame at the doorsteps of the New Deal and their cry
of marginalization. In my humble opinion, the
responsibility for the political plight of the Bangwas
lies squarely on their shoulders. Each of them claims
to be omniscient and better than the other.
Caught up in a geographical and cultural quagmire,
the Bangwa vaccilitate between Northwesterners,
Westerners and Southwesterners, depending on their
interest at any given moment. And in the
circumstances, they conduct themselves in peculiar
ways, making it difficult for the rest of Cameroonians
to discern their roots.
So too has been their political thinking cap and
intelligence notoriously and derogatorily tagged “99
sense”. Anywhere a Bangwa finds his or herself, the
opportunity is exploited to manifest this cursed
intelligence, though there exist a few exceptions.
When Fru Ndi forced flung the doors for political
pluralism to blossom in Cameroon in the early 90, one
of theirs, Rtd. Ambassador, Henry Fossung saw this as
an opportunity to redeem his lost political and
diplomatic ambition from limbo. Hence, he rallied a
few of them to create his National Democratic Party,
NDP, in the early 1990s. Like a herd of sheep or
should l say ducklings, they queued up behind the NDP,
motivated by tribal instincts, although the now
moribund NDP had no political vision, the reason why
it could not go far. But the Bangwas, even the so call
intellectuals had no reason to believe in the
manifesto of the party, (if there was any), their
ambition was that a tribes man has also form a
political party.
But before long, considering that everyone in the
party had 99 senses, their purported intelligence
clashed and in the same spirit, they trooped out and
queued behind the SDF after failing to impose their
“intelligence” and “99 sense” on another 99. Together
with the SDF, they curse the CPDM for plundering the
nation into chaos since the birth of the New Deal.
This was championed by the likes of Martin Nkemngu who
today is donning in the very CPDM. What demagogy?
Others such as Anu Francis, a certain Nkemason etc
last weekend embraced the very CPDM they criticize a
few days ago. More are warming up to join the drowning
CPDM boat in Lebialem in the days ahead.
From the forgoing, it can be discerned that there is
something seriously wrong with the Bangwa people. If
you have had the opportunity of being close or working
with a good number of Bangwa people, then you would
bear me out on this. He says one thing and the next
minute, he does the opposite. He dines with you with a
spoon in one hand and behind he is hiding a gun. If a
Bangwa man tells you to wait, don’t listen, instead
move 5 km ahead and by the time you reach, you will
discover with dismay that if you had waited, you would
have been 5 km behind him.
Today, the Bangwas cry against marginalization in
the SDF, instead of promoting their kin to take over
the leadership of the party, they hide behind and are
projecting demagogues like Ngwasiri and Muna. Fighting
marginalization indeed! Or is it intelligence by half
or 99?
Running to the CPDM will not in anyway help the
Bangwa people. This is the very regime they have been
accusing of marginalizing them for decades. It is now
clear that their “over intelligence” has been the arch
heel of their so call marginalization. They failed in
the CPDM, NDP, LDA and SDF because of their vicious
tendencies; they will continue to fail because they
are still to understand themselves.
While some are sheepishly queuing up behind the CPDM
now, some so call industrious sons, mostly from the
Diaspora are opting for a “new opinion” as can be seen
in write-ups in local Bangwa tabloids (a la radio
milles collines) and internet postings. They are not
courageous enough as usual to call it a party, but go
ahead to state that such an opinion can give them
representation in parliament to enable them play the
broker role like Dakole Daisala’s MDR in 1992.
Let them go ahead and create a party. It will go
like all others. I also hope that Ngwasiri and Ben
Muna, the evil forces behind this Bangwa equation are
lured into the vicious cycle.
It is high time the Bangwas take an introspective
view of themselves and the political road covered this
far and come out with positive resolutions denouncing
their tribal and nepotic view of contemporary politics
in Cameroon and the true Bangwa identity. This should
give them the opportunity to map out a blue print for
their future political survival.
If they fail to learn from the disgrace they got
from Father Etienne’s blunders and also from their
ongoing self-inflicted problems in the SDF, their new
exploits in the CPDM and “new opinion” will only lead
them to a bleaker political future.
The decadence of Nkemngu Martin and his show of shame
in Lebialem
At last this news organ has been vindicated. In its
edition number 113 of Wednesday March 8 – 14, 2006,
the paper prophesied that Nkemngu Martin, Ben Muna,
Ngwasiri “Iscariot” and others were CPDM agents out to
hijack the party and auction.
The article was highlighted in the front page,
captioned: “Muna, Ngwasiri, Nkemngu openly trading SDF
to CPDM.” In it, the paper pointed out the dubious
intentions of these individuals. Nkemngu was singled
out as an archenemy of the SDF since inception.
Last weekend in his native Lebialem, he confirmed
the fears when he decamped to the CPDM. The news of
his decampment to the CPDM did not come as a surprise
to The UnExpected. All along he has been an agent of
the regime in the party. Having realized that the
party was too strong to infiltrate, he has decided to
go back to his house.
Martin Nkemngu has never been a successful
politician. In fact, he has confirmed himself as the
greatest political prostitute of the century, jumping
from one political platform to another. Only last
month, Nkemngu was on the air castigating the CPDM as
the worst political institution on earth, today that
very institution is the best and the SDF under which
he used to castigate the CPDM is now the reverse. What
hypocrisy!
Last weekend, Nkemngu and a horde of other kinsmen,
a good number of them riff-raffs carried their show of
shame to Menji where they disgracefully paraded
themselves before CRTV cameras as new recruits of the
ruling clique. Clad in CPDM attire, Nkemngu babbled
that he was quitting the SDF because Fru Ndi was
dictatorial. Another scallywag who even lack what to
feed on also had the guts to talk about the SDF
kingpin, Ni John Fru Ndi. After his Lebialem charade,
Nkemngu phoned some newspapers and lied that he
decamped to the CPDM with over 300 SDF militants. Can
Nkemngu tell us how many SDF militants followed him
into the CPDM? A CPDM source that attended the
conference made The UnExpected to understand that a
good number of those who paraded themselves before Tv
cameras as SDF militants decamping into the CPDM were
youths ferried in from various parts of the country,
mostly hungry youths from Dschang to deceive the CPDM
that Nkemngu was a strong force.
The UnExpected was reliably informed that Nkemngu
went to the prime minister’s office begging that he
was tired of being a proofreader in Cameroon Tribune
especially as he is near retirement. He was promised a
juicy appointment, which could take him out of the
ridiculous job he was performing as proofreader of
English adverts. These were some of the behind moves
that caused Nkemngu’s cross over to the CPDM.
However, read below a repeat version of an earlier
article published in edition number 113 concerning
Nkemngu’s attitude towards the SDF since the launching
of the party in 1990.
As for the likes of Nkemasong Sylvester, he is also
near retirement and having received severe physical
torture during the last twin elections in 2002, he is
not prepared for such beatings again. The other
so-called, former Southwest SDF Provincial Secretary,
Asaba Atabong is a non-quantity that was more of a
liability to the party than an asset.
In fact, Asaba was a pest to the party and its
militants. His resignation is highly welcome because
SDF militants will at least take their leave from his
constant harassment for financial help and assistance.
Lebialem CPDM militants have said there is no place
for the runaway SDF militants. “If these horde can
cause havoc in a democratic party as the SDF, how much
more of a dictatorial one like ours, a concerned
Lebialem CPDM militant observed. However, Nkemngu and
co. are jumping into a sinking boat. The CPDM through
its Patron, President Paul Biya has decided to truly
democratize and if the current trend of events is
anything to go by, then Nkemngu and co. should know
that the boat they think is going to anchor them
safely might likely be a dangerous one.
In order to safe face, he tells those who bother to
listen to his tales that the decision to go the soya
way was precipitated by the grassroot. These are false
and misleading claims. Who do these demagogues think
they are deceiving?
Another bogus claim by the horde is that the SDF
hasn’t got the Southwest province at heart. Warp
reasoning. For the over 15 years or more that Nkemngu
and co. militated in the SDF, is it only today that
they see Southwest marginalisation in the party?
Nkemngu and his “gang” should be old enough to know
that all those who have jumped from the SDF into the
CPDM have ended up miserable and frustrated. Thomas
Tabenyang, Willy Ekema, Chief Namme, Dr. Samuel
Tchwenko, Nja Kwa Leolin etc.
There are so many staunch CPDM militants in Lebialem
who are still grappling with their fate in the ruling
CPDM. There are still to find solace with the party.
What more of political prostitutes and adventurers in
the likes of Nkemngu, Formin, Anu etc.
There is no gold in the CPDM. All that it takes to be
a politician is consistency, loyalty and respect for
rules and regulations. This is how Lebialem CPDM
militants have been surviving, eventhough, they are
the most marginalized in that party. The Lebialem CPDM
should guard against the hawks rushing in now. They
are nothing but position seekers. Thank God, Lebialem
already has several dedicated militants who are
standing tall in the party and would always dwarf the
new recruits. We have the talented Nelson Fomenky, Dr.
Bernard Foju etc. Who will give Nkemngu and co. a
place in the CPDM? The so called mass resignation of
Lebialem SDF militants into the CPDM is a grave
political blunder and the end of Nkemngu politically.
Nkemngu Martin – Enemy of SDF since inception (The
Heron No. 113 of Wednesday March 8 - 14, 2006).
Martin Nkemngu is supposed to be the 3rd National
Assistant Communication Secretary of the SDF. Yet he
is masquerading that he is the national Communication
Secretary. How he became an assistant national
secretary for communication of the party was and still
remains a puzzle to all and sundry.
When Fru Ndi launched the SDF in 1990 in Bamenda,
Cameroon Tribune, wrote a defamatory article against
the party and the chairman. Fru Ndi did not take the
blasphemous publication by Nkemngu’s newspaper
lightly. He dragged the newspaper to court. Martin
Nkemngu, then chief of Sopecam for the Northwest was
the one standing for the paper against the SDF party.
Through out the hearing, he was defending the
government paper that tarnished the image of the SDF.
After the case, Bamenda was no more a safe ground for
him. He was hurriedly transfered to the Southwest, his
province of origin in the same capacity. But due to
his usual vaulting ambition, he attempted a putsch
against SWELA. But the wonder boy from K-Town, Caven
Nnoko Mbele floored him hands down. As it is his
habit, he created a faction of the association, which
the administration of the province banned and termed
it illegal.
Nkemngu continued to operate the illegal body
despite repeated warnings and threats. But he had to
pay dearly for it as he was sacked as chief of
Southwest SOPECAM and sent to Yaounde as a mere
proofreader of adverts. That did not mean any lesson
to Nkemngu that disrespect for hierarchy and
avaricious do not pay.
It is the same spirit of division that he is
attempting to implant in the SDF. But he should be
reminded that the SDF is not SWELA. This is a party
that precious blood of Northwest sons was spilled for
and no adventurer should attempt to toy with it.
Nkemngu is alleged to be the one who indoctrinated
and misled the learned Prof. Asonganyi to attempt a
coup against the SDF. His hatred for the SDF and Fru
Ndi is not an affair of today; it is an age-old story
since the creation of the party. He hopped into the
SDF after another failed coup attempt in the LDA where
he was a militant to oust Mola Njoh Litumbe. This is
not a man SDF militants should be bothering about.

Everyone
Please recognise the ideas of Heinrich Himmler, Joseph Goebbels and Adolf Hitler in the above posting by someone calling himself "Bangwa Stupidity". He has an email address dddddd@yahoo.com. Now, Ebai James, Tita Mofaw and other proponents of this very idea are changing names. I will track down the IP of the computer used for the posting. Let every Cameroonian who calls for true democracy recognise now and say so that tribalism is the enemy of a healthy democracy. Of course, you can choose to maintain your silence when this tribal monster raises its head. Everybody who thinks so, should say it is wrong. Without giving this brother/sister too much time of course.
Posted by: Ashwell Molaba | Monday, 24 April 2006 at 10:25 AM
The so called Bangwa Stupidity is one of those fanning the flame of hatred and promoting tribalism. He is like one so called Chief Tabe Tando of Bacho, a village along the Kumba Mamfe road who has ordered the Bacho people to destroy the farms of those they call strangers.
These people mostly from the North West live in small village called Okoyong about 7 miles to Mamfe town and some of them have been living and working there for more than 70 years. A few years ago when the problem of “come no go” came up, the so called lawyer Tabe Tando took upon himself to authorize the destruction of coco farms and other crops owned by these poor Cameroonians. These people gave in to the pressure and signed to be paying 25.000frs each per year for farming in the Bacho land.
But recently with the wicked and insatiable nature of this chief he decided that the people should sign to start paying 50.000frs each a year. When the people refused to sign saying that it was too much, he ordered his people to go to the farms, and they have since been destroying, stealing, beating up women who were going to harvest food to feed their children and family. This situation is almost going out of hands and if the authorities that be don't see into this, there might be blood shed. These strangers are starving now because most of them can't go to their farms for fear they will be beaten up by the Bacho people who always wait for the strangers to cultivate and then come up with problems during time for harvest. In fact lawyer Tabe Tando has give thieves the right to get into peoples farms and harvest crops and even sell in the market. It is really a pathetic situation.
I wonder aloud how someone who calls himself Chief and a lawyer should order the destruction of cash crops and food that some Cameroonians badly need.
I pray the post to investigate on this and give readers here the true story.
The chiefs and Fons in Cameroon have been brainwashed by the CPDM regime and all they care about is money and force. They will be treated one after the other. Fon Ndoh’s case has not set a good example.
Poor and Hopeless people who can’t even send their children to school are suffering because of one so called lawyer Tabe Tando.
This is just some of things Ashwell and others have been preaching against. That some group of people are from a different province, they should be treated as if they are not Cameroonians. This also makes me to ask a lot of questions about the issue of Southern Cameroon Independence.
PLEASE THE POST SHOULD HELP READERS BY INVESTIGATING ABOUT THE ABOVE SITUATION.
CONCERNED CAMEROONIAN.
Posted by: Cameroonian | Monday, 24 April 2006 at 11:54 AM
Dear Readers,
Gone are those days when people were intimidated into NOT criticizing some particular people by calling them CPDM or government agents. We are already too used to this primitive and purely outdated method of forcing people into suffering in silence, for fear of not being called CPDM agents whenever they express their personal opinion on political issues.
When Lapiro De Mbanga spoke against some mistakes of the opposition, he was accused of being sponsored by the CPDM; when Adamou Ndam Njoya contested to be the opposition candidate for presidential elections, he was called a CPDM agent; when Ben Muna, Professor Asonganyi, Ngwasiri, Zamboe, Akonteh, Asanga, Souleyman, Maidadi, Brice Nitche, and others voice their disappointment against the SDF leadership, they are accused of being agents of the CPDM.
Now, when Mukete, Vally, Celestine , Agbormbai, Momo, Mimi and many others write against the stagnation that the Leadership of the SDF has instituted within the party, they, too, are referred to as CPDM agents. When an SDF militant puts forward his candidacy to democratically challenge Ni John Fru Ndi, he is immediately accused of being sponsored by the CPDM. Tomorrow, many more objective people will receive the same treatment.
So, of the over 15 million Cameroonians, none can see the mistakes and weaknesses of the SDF hierarchy and criticize them without being sponsored by the CPDM or the government? How stupid are Cameroonians? Why must everyone who dare criticize the SDF leadership be always linked to the CPDM? Who is sponsoring the progressive fraction of the CPDM? Has the CPDM ever accused any political party for intoxicating the minds of his 'rebel' militants? Why this cry always from the SDF? Why is the CPDM not accusing the opposition for sponsoring the progressive wing of the CPDM? Why did we not accuse Samuel Ebao of being sponsored by the SDF when he surrendered his candidacy for the presidency and asked his UNDP militants to vote for Ni John Fru Ndi of the SDF, against paul Biya? Why does the CPDM government not accuse Jean Jacque Ekindi and some other opposition leaders of being sponsored by the SDF whenever they criticize the government? When Ni John Fru Ndi was taking the French Ambassador to the Northern provinces to lift off his boycott on French goods and Business, no one accused him of being sponsored by the CPDM or France.
Why all this cry and accusations whenever people criticize the SDF and its Leadership? Why are other political parties handling their internal problems differently from the way SDF militants want theirs to be handled? Are militants of the SDF so blind to the extent that they can only raise their voices when sponsored by the CPDM? Are militants of the SDF so weak to the extend that on their own they can not challenge Ni John Fru Ndi?
Please people should give us a break with this old song: 'He is a CPDM agent', He is sponsored by the SDF government', He is on the CPDM or Government pay roll', He is a CPDM agent', 'He has been sent by the CPDM or government'. 'He is fighting to get a job from the government', 'He has been offered a post by the government'. I mean, those who propagate these old songs must have realized that they have no impact on those who have things to say. Those who are trying to use these old songs to gather sympathy must have realized that Cameroonians are no more want they used to be. Those who are using these old songs to divert attention must have realized that some of us are immuned to such primitive and outdated methods of making people to give up a genuine fight. Those who are using these old songs to 'cry their die'in public must have realized that they can not continue to be used as fools.
Let people call me what they are. Let people accuse The Post for sponsoring and allowing Cameroonians to criticize their LORD. Let people link us with the devilish CPDM government. Let people accuse us of receiving blood money from the CPDM. Let people accuse us for having a personal hatred for their Lord. BUT IN DOING ALL THIS, THEY MUST BE CONTENTED WITH THE FACT THAT SUCH OUTDATED AND PURELY PRIMITIVE METHODS WILL NOT MAKE US SURRENDER. IF THEY THINK THAT BY LINKING US TO THE CPDM AND THE GOVERNMENT WE WOLL BE FORCED INTO SUFFERING IN SILENCE WHILE OTHERS ENRICH THEMSELVES, THEN I WANT TO TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE MAKING A VERY VERY BIG MISTAKE.
And if they continue to feel slighted by the fact that we are criticizing their LORD, then I am NOT sorry. I even hope I should have written more. And believe me, more will come. Those who hate reading from those who criticize their Lord should simply be selective in the contributions they read or they leave readers their freedom to read and make their own judgements.
I would like to inform readers that with the present political situation in Cameroon, the CPDM does not need to sponsor people to criticize the SDF leadership. For what reasons? To gain what? Who is a threat to Biya? We are unfortunate because Paul Biya has actually cornered Ni John Fru Ndi to the extent that Ni John Fru Ndi is very careful of anything he says; he is avoiding the press; he is out of diplomatic contacts - only going abroad for personal and private affairs; his movements are now secretive; he can not answer all the questions we are asking him; he is more active only during the very restricted NEC meetings, and especially in his house; he is now controlling his mouth. This is a man who used to talk the whole day. BUT WHY THESE CHANGES ONLY NOW? If he dare opens his mouth, Biya will teach him a bitter lesson.
On a sad note, I have realized that those who are constantly accusing others of being CPDM agents, are doing so to divert our attention from the burning issues we have within the SDF. They are happy to see us debating whether or not we are for the CPDM so that time passes. Some even go as far as asking us to comment on particular topics. This tactic will not work. We have to unearth the virus inside the SDF - whether accuse or not.
This is NOT an SDF forum. It is a forum provided for free so that Cameroonians can freely debate and express their own personal opinion. And some people say this is not politics as if they know what politics is all about. Politics is not a mixture of only SWEET TALKS. I doubt what some readers would do when Cameroonians start fighting inside the National Assembly as is the case in some civilized nations.
And where is the limit between the private life and the public life of a public figure? Where is the boundary and who defines it?

SDF

Mukete,
Again a long winded posting against the fact that you have been called a CPDM sponsored agent. While I agree with you that it is wrong to willy-nilly label people CPDM agents, what is the point of arguing against that? What difference does it make if I call you Peter when your name is actually John? You are who you are no matter what people think you are. Stooping down to their level to argue on such petty issues, only exposes your own inability to rise above petty criticisms. Please give yourself more time to reflect on important socio-economic issues. Give yourself time to read and identify useful ideas (or dangerous ideas) in the forum that can help promote a healthy debate and democracy in Cameroon.
Mukete, Ako, Watesih, Agbormbai, Rexon, Momo, Tayong, Klemenceau, Fon Lawrence, ateba, boyambiance and all regular contributors in this forum. I ask you to voice your opinions on tribalism and the article posted by a certain person calling himself/herself "Bangnwa stupidity". Sympathisers to such sentiments have previously been, mimi, Ebai James, Tita Mofaw etc. I ask you now to come out and condemn such behaviour which is in my opinion, the true enemy of democracy and development.

Ashwell,
Infact,we begin to discover now
that thieves are inconsolable when you brand them as such. When others are branded Fru Ndi`s slaves, people forget they too also use adjectives. The weeks ahead annouce to be stormy,so we don`t have time for petit wits.
As concerns the degrading issue of tribalism in this forum,it reflects the sociological setup and political culture of Cameroon. In Cameroon, the 'i'goes first ,then the royal 'we 'follows. When a man is appointed Minister, his people will
transform the Ministry into a meeting point
for tribal stock-taking.The fabulous sums of money spent on a minister`s home coming always exceed what would have been needed to construct two classrooms, for some of the schools that only exist on paper. When members of the Elite of a given locality thank Biya for doing what Napoleon
Bonaparte left undone ,by appointing their
son,it shows that people only think in terms of ethnicity. When the Minister Mrs
Haman Adaman brought home the project of classroom construction from Japan, she first of all promised to pay more attention to her area of origin, but when she failed to do so,giving the lion`s share to the Southwest(because of supposed pressure from the PM),the brothers from the north have been using swear words on her. When Mrs Lydia Effimba leaves the SDF,she advances as reason the marginalisation of the Southwest. When Nkemgu does same, his reason is to show solidarity with a brother and when finally he lives,he bundles along some of them.
When there`s a deficience in what the
French will call "projet de Societe'",when the morality of a people is wanting, people retreat to their strongholds and fight from there. They become factional leaders. They preach and fan the flames of hatred. This has always led to explosive situations. The example of 'Radio Mille collines'is still very fresh in our mind, where extremists were
asked to go out and 'clear the bush'.
The peace the world enjoys intermittently, came about as a result of the painstaking efforts of some children of men,who could rise above the ordinary and impose their will on events. The examples of Mandela,Mother Theresa,Martin Luther King,Ghandi will never be over emphasized.
Cameroon is a volcano in the waiting. The peace we pretend to savour is just a loosely tight set of strings with nothing like a pivotal root to keep them in place. As an amalgame of diametrically opposed ways of life,Cameroonians have had to live some of the nasty things that only come to you when you don`t have any other choice. The Anglo-saxon way of life prescribes, modesty, moderation, thrift, while the French Speaking Cameroonians will exercise no caution when going after things of the flesh. Those who talk hard ,eat hard
and listen less excel.Unscrupulous fellows on one side or the other have become copy cats.
Some people only excel when a situation is very bleak. That is why many people entertain those divisive tendencies.
In this forum, some contributors have taken those they consider to mislead the people to task without giving in to tribal sensibilities.Whether its ngwasiri, Asonganyi,Muna,Fru Ndi,Nkemgu, they have to condemn, they have done so with the same verve. Some have always tried to show acute
lack of judgement and have never bugded from
their position of dispersers.
Educating people politically is a notion that is still far fetched in our society.People leave their origins with preconceived ideas and it is always inconceivable for this category to think that other schools of thoughts exist.
As long as cameroonians keep living the nefarious effects of tribalism as a result of the divide and rule policy that has gone on for 24 years,it will take another half a century for people to better appreciate the culture of peace in our country. The beauty of life and the world around us were not built without this ill.We must continue to fight it by showing that commonality in ideas ,brotherhood ,
tolerance are better than primitivity,
barberianism,hooliganism and illiteracy.

Watesih,
We need to identify the true causes of our problems so as to be able to offer lasting solutions. Ignorance is a natural state of the human being. Unfortunately, with ignorant people (like myself) you have to deal diligently.
I agree with the causes of tribalism you posted above. While we are very unfortunate in that we have a small country of 17 million people with over 250 different languages, we also have the most tolerant people. At independence, the policy of the Cameroonian government was to encourage tribalism. People were offered jobs not on merit but on the basis of where they came from. People were made to know that their turn on the national table will come. And when your turn did come, you stuffed yourself good and proper because you knew you will soon leave. Such a culture persist till date as you rightly pointed out. But of course the national cake has grown smaller and smaller ever since. While the population has grown bigger and bigger.
Watesih, I wish you could concentrate on these ills without mentioning persons. I say so because people quite easily become defensive and lead debate towards something else. We need means of implementing a culture whereby each person is judged by the content of his/her character.

CAMEROON-INFO.NET IS REFUSING TO SUBSCRIBE SOUTHERN CAMEROONIANS.
Camerounese jerks will carry their censorship all over.
If you go to Cameroon-info.net and request a subscription approval, stating clearly that you are a Southern Cameroonian or an SCNC activist, they will refuse to approve your subscription.
I encourage you to try it.
I have asked the SCNC in North America to investigate this blatant censorship.
Kudos to The Post for being such an open network that lets all these filthy frogs talk here.
Anyway, whatever they do, they will never change this:
The Southern Cameroons SHALL BE INDEPENDENT.
NOTHING and we mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING can stop it.
OUR VICTORY IS ASSURED.
