Christian Comprehensive Secondary School, CCSS, has graduated its first batch of students. The graduation ceremony took place on the school premises in Nkolbong situated in the Etoudi neighbourhood of Yaounde on Thursday, May 25.

The batch made up of 10 girls and 21 boys, pledged to be law abiding citizens with the fear of god as their guiding principle.Sending forth the students, the Principal of the school, Angelbert Fusi Axantu, urged the students to be good ambassadors of the school wherever they find themselves.
He added his hopes that the performance of the students in the upcoming GCE Examinations would reflect the quality of education they have acquired since the creation of the college on October 13, 2001.
Identifying the deplorable state of the road leading to the school as a major preoccupation, the Principal said this has not deterred students who travel far and wide in search of quality education.
Adding his voice in his capacity as founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCSS, Rev. Pr Emmanuel Anyambod Anya, reflecting on the early days of the school, said it started in a rather awkward atmosphere with a lot of hurdles, most of which he was quick to add, have been overcome.
He said the desire to create the school was to make a difference in a French zone where students would be trained in a boarding school following the Anglo-Saxon system.
He stated that the vision of CCSS is to bring up students both morally and academically.
He said the school organises talks on HIV/AIDS and also teaches students about corruption, expressing the desire to see them involved in the socio-economic political and spiritual transformation of the country.
The student choir added colour and excitement to the ceremony that witness the award of prizes to outstanding students and the launching of the school magazine tilted 'The Pinnacle of Excellence'.
