Angry supporters of Mount Cameroon FC, a.k.a lava boys Saturday, July 22, at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium demanded coach Tonye Tonye's head, after the team played a one all tie with Sable of Batie, in a day 24 advanced match for the National Division I Championship.

"This man has been making funny changes that only go to ridicule the team. Let us behead him," cried one Ivo Minang, a supporter at the end of the encounter. "He always favours players close to him," he charged.
Tonye replaced playmaker and goal scorer, Elvis Mokake with Satcheuteu at the 84th minute while Mount Cameroon were leading 1-0. This, supporters believed, paved the way for Sable to equalise seconds after.
Mount Cameroon President, Calvin Foinding criticised his coach's substitution. "His changes did not meet the expectation. Those who came in had no time to make their impact," Foinding said.A group of fans besieged Tonye after the encounter urging him to resign. They insulted and threatened to beat him up.
But Tonye blamed the draw on the youthfulness of his squad. "The problem is the youthful nature of my players. They do not know how to conserve victory. I am not disappointed with the output but I am rather disappointed with the Buea fans who are yet to understand that the players are young but are doing something great."
Mount Cameroon has recorded 15 draws as opposed to 14 last season making it the team with the best record of draws for both seasons.
The Match
The Buea populace intermittently gnashed their teeth as Mount Cameroon squandered glaring chances during the match that commenced amidst a heavy downpour.Sable started on a very timid note as they tried to master the terrain, creating space for the lava boys to showcase long-range playstyle.
Skipper Batamouck made dangerous incursions from the right flank.Elvis Mokake darted past two defenders at the 36th minute and left footed ball from the left flank into the net for the curtain raiser.
Upon resumption, Dinalo Njongkam, Sable coach went for an all out attack. Two of the team's strikers, fielded in the second half, constantly destabilised Mount Cameroon defence line.
Sable's keeper savagely brought down Mount Cameroon's Ayuk in the danger area but referee Jean Gaoussoumou failed to sound his whistle. Tension rose as players resorted to kick boxing.
Ndzie of Mount Cameroon and Bikol of Sable were red carded at the 74th minute after a kicking brawl prompting the referee to halt the game for five minutes.Amidst a series of rough play, Sable's Fouapon equalised through a free kick from the right flank. He Fouapon lopped the ball over a Mount Cameroon's defence wall sending keeper Joseph Ngoh on his stomach for the equaliser.
Dinalo told The Post after the game, "Each team had 45 minute of the match. Host team had first 45 minute and Sable had the second. The one all tie is justified."

Mount Cameroon fans should be grateful for their performance.15 draws is a good performance as opposed to loses. The only Anglophone team in LRC league what do you expect from them? They should be happy they are there to represent Anglophones than there to play a league full of fraud and corruption of the Cameroon federations officials. With more draws they can be guaranteed another place in the next LRC league table.Cheers to Mokake and President Foinding for their time and money in the LRC league..

It goes and comes back!
The ill hearted treatment you gave your brothers Kumbo strikers to see them land in division 2 in order to maintain Racing in division 1 will hunt you until you swallow the same peal. We all suppoort you now as the only anglophone team, but don't forget you have missied up your brother when you open your net for the heaviest defeat recorded in the season (4-0) purposely to have Kumbo strikers in division 2.
So watchout as "what is affecting cocoa may likely affect coffee"
