The General Manager of
Les Brasseries du Cameroun, André Siaka, October 13, re-launched one of the company's brand, Pelforth beer, an existed product of the company.
The re-launch ceremony took place at the headquarters of Les Brasseries du Cameroun in Douala.
Speaking at a press conference that preceeded the launch, the General Manager said Pelforth beer which the company came up with in the past, and which later disappeared, was a lager beer, which is a light beer.
Worth noting that in the past the company was not involved in the domain of stout beer, which is the strongest type of dark beer. Siaka, however, pointed out that the company made many successive trials towards the production of stout beer, starting with Porter 39 and then Doppel, which were beer that occupied the intermediary position between lager and stout beer.
He explained that after later innovations by Les Brasseries du Cameroun in the market with Smooth and Castle Milk Stout, the company has today come to strongly and effectively position itself in the sector of stout beer production, with the rebirth of Pelforth.
The new Pelforth beer, Siaka went on, is purely stout, and thus is totally different from the former Pelforth beer, which was lager. He stated that with the new Pelforth beer, Les Brasseries du Cameroun which had long established a supremacy in the domain of lager beer production in the Cameroon market, has also come to establish itself as a force to be reckoned with in the domain of stout beer.
The GM stressed that the company has learnt a lot over the years after much research and successive trials. He rejoiced that through Pelforth beer, Les Brasseries du Cameroun is offering its consumers a veritable stout beer of international quality.
He asserted that the company never spares any effort to satisfy consumers, and thus has put varieties of high quality products in the market as it relentlessly strives to satisfy consumers with their different brands.
He expressed his indebtedness to the company's experts, maitres brasseurs, who had worked so hard for a number of years to come up with the high quality stout drink. He said Pelforth beer is a veritable symbol of the international recognition of the company's maitres brasseurs, whom he noted are Cameroonians.
He thus stated that Pelforth beer is also the celebration of great ability of Cameroonian born maitres basseurs of Les Brasseries du Cameroun. The General Manager also declared that Pelforth beer is in both the large bottle (65 cl) at 600 FCFA and small bottle (35cl) at 400 FCFA.
