Southwest flag bearers at this year's Interpools, Tiko United, despite their 2-1 victory over Bali United on Wednesday, November 15, could not qualify for to play in the next stage of the competition due to a head to head record rule.
Tiko United, a.k.a samba boys, failed to sail through to the next stage, though with 7 points like CPSA of Ebolowa, because the latter had defeated them on the first day of play and thus had an urge over them.
CPSA of Ebolowa, who stunned Tiko United 1-0 in the first day of play, thus qualify to play another match to determine if they would pick a first division ticket.
The university of Ngaoundere has already picked a ticket for the National Division One Championship next season. They beat FC Piliote of Garoua 2-0 to emerge leaders of Group B based in Maroua with 8 points.
FC Piliote and Tiko United now join Bali United to prepare for next year's Interpools tournament.
Meanwhile, in Pool A, the encounter between Tonnerre Yaounde and CETEF of Douala that ended prematurely will be replayed on Thursday as requested by the Arbitration and Homologation Committee of FECAFOOT.
Both teams separated on a one all tie and the match was interrupted by players of CETEF when Tonnerre equalised at the 95th minute, that is five minutes after stoppage time.
The Arbitration and Homologation Committee of in Garoua has also suspended Alain Giresse Tchoumba, the centre referee of match, for three months.

Tiko United did their very best though they were being caught by virtue of nature.Hope they will learn a lesson to begin a tournament with a win. Most of the players were upto the task and lived up to expectation. They should keep a positive future against next interpools competition.
