For Better For Worse
Philip Fomenky Alem and Glory Anusongsong Asaah decided to give a new
twist to their newfound, fun-packed life. This time, God had to be at
the centre of all their activities.
The Chief celebrant of the holy Mass, Rev Father Wilfred Epie Emeh, in
his homily, said marriage is a situation whereby the man surrenders his
will to the woman.
He will paraphrase Saint Thomas Aquinas who said marriage is the greatest union in the world.Epie told Philip, Glory and the Christians who came to lend their support to the tying of the nuptial knot that marriage is the ordination of God. "Human beings are only artificial witnesses to marriage.
Couple with the Press after mass
God is the official witness of marriage. Marriage cannot be functional in the absence of God," he said. The Priest prescribed mutual and lasting fidelity to the couple, while enjoining them to accept one another.
After the church blessing, the ceremony moved to the Mermoz Banquet Hall, Buea, for a grandiose reception. Here, the décor was colourful and befitting. The occasion had as chairperson, Charles Ndi Chia, veteran journalist and Editor-In-Chief of The Post newspaper.
Juicy Couture - June (Ruby Patent) - FootwearInspired by Epie's sermon, Ndi Chia said it was no surprise to him that Philip easily fell for Glory thanks to the excessive love both parties share for each other. The representatives of both families, Fomenky for the groom and Folefoc for the bride, wished that Philip gives Glory the best of marital life while expecting Glory to do same.
Blessing from the state of Cameroon
Speaking on behalf of his wife and himself, Philip Fomenky, the Head of Administration and Finance at The Post, expressed hearty thanks to all for making the occasion a great success. He revealed to his guests the many similarities that he came to discover that he and his wife had, which strengthened their love the more.
The guests expressed their joy with for the union by the flurry of
gifts they showered on the couple. Very conspicuously present was the
crack team of The Post, including the various bureau chiefs and also
accompanied by a cross section of journalists in the province.
Besides, there was booze ago go and food aplenty to eat and feel good.

Sleep little darling.
That sunshine
remains in the
heart of a prickle
like a luminous gleam
now reflecting the
pain; and everywhere
a light disappears
giving the red
wind where your
spirit outshines....
