New Kumbo DO Installed

Peter Itoe Mbongo, 40, has been installed as the new Divisional Officer, DO, for Kumbo Sub-division.

He takes over from Joseph Ngwang Pepanze who has been transferred in the same capacity to administer Fontem Subdivision.Presiding over the installation ceremony at Tobin Municipal Stadium
recently, the Senior Divisional Officer for Bui, Daniel Panjouono,
described Itoe as "a young, experienced, talented, dynamic and an
intelligent administrator sent by the Head of State to replace Ngwang".
He called on the new DO to ensure the security of the population and protection of their property through mobile control of the high ways and localities harbouring criminals.He advised Itoe to set up vigilante groups at village levels to assist the forces of law and order to fight crime.
He also instructed him to work in close collaboration with the mayors
to minimise tax evasion as well as handle the Oku-Kumbo inter-tribal
land dispute with care.Itoe Mbongo was escorted by a large delegation from the Southwest
Province led by the Government Delegate to the defunct Limbe Urban
Council, Samuel Lifanda Ebiama, comprising of the Mayors of Limbe I, II
and III Daniel Lyonga Matute, Andrew Mutanga and Isaac Ngale
respectively, and the traditional rulers of Batoke and Kie villages,
Chiefs Otto Molive Molungo and Sama Motalu.
