The activities include the organisation of retreats, seminars, Novenas recollections and dedication of members. Others include the enthronement of the Bible in homes, active participation and support of church activities as well as spirituality in various forms.
The calendar was presented during the General Assembly of the Association which took place recently at the Holy Family Parish, Limbe.
CMA President, Elias Joe, appealed to members to remove cobwebs which could hamper the progress of the group, and concentrate on the aspects which enhance spiritual up-liftment.
Earlier in a homily during Holy Mass, the celebrating Priest, Rev. Fr. Tutuwan, challenged the CMA members to emulate the example of their Patron Saint 'St Joseph' who stands for Justice, Obedience, Service, Peace and Hospitality.
The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fonsa gave a spiritual discourse on the rights and obligations of the lay members of Christ's Faithful based on the code of Canon Law, while Rev. Fr. Bernard Ngalame spoke on the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
In his welcome address, the Parish President of CMA Holy Family Parish, Gervas Endeley, reminded members of their duty to remain their brother's keeper. For a stock-taking of activities for 2008, the Diocesan President Elias Joe mentioned the seminars which were held in the six zones of the Diocese, the exchange visit from CMA in the Bamenda Arch Diocese and the participation of members in activities involving the clergy.
On the other hand, he frowned at some feet dragging and negligence at some levels, urging that a re-awakening spirit be revived for a more positive balance sheet in 2009.
He commended the efforts of the Zonal President of the host zone Michael Njenku and the Catholic Women Association, CWA, of the Holy Family Parish Limbe for the thorough organisation of the General Assembly.
To spice the day, the Fako Divisional Delegate for Women's Empowerment, Mrs. Violet Mokube, and her Chief of Socio-economic Empowerment of Women, Mrs. Florence Achale, enlightened the participants on various aspects of the role of their ministry. Meanwhile, the Fako Division Divisional Delegate for Social Affairs, Jerry Nkwelle, spoke on the services rendered to handicapped persons and orphans.
It should be remarked that CMA members from the six zones of the Diocese turned out very massively for the meeting.
