The Rector of the recently created University of Maroua, Ako Edward Oben who was appointed amongst others by presidential decree on December 29 has been installed. He was installed alongside the Board Chairman, Youssoufa Daouda, and the Secretary General, Haman Djallo.
The Director of ENS Maroua, Saibou Issa, was equally installed with the commencement of the academic year billed for January 15. They were installed on recently by the Minister of
Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo. Meanwhile, the Rector of the University of Yaounde I, Oumarou Bouba, who replaces Dr Dorothy Limunga Njuema, considered to be on retirement, would be installed today, as well as the Board Chairman of the University of Yaounde II. The installation of the Board Chairmen of the Universities of Douala and Buea has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 7.
