The year 2008 would have rounded off without any major romantic event until STV’s rising star, Constantain Mbom took the stage with Mercy Ngahene Assama in holy matrimony.
The marriage that took place December 27 has been described by high profiled people as the wedding of the year 2008. It pulled the cream of rising gents and ladies, media stars from all over the country to the sea-side resort town of Limbe.
A highly attended nuptial Mass took place at the 100-year-old Bota Catholic Church, Limbe, where Consty’s parents had performed the same sacred rite. Rev. Emmanuel Epie, in his homily, said that marriage is a long and arduous journey but that with prayers, understanding and love, God will surely guide the newly wed couple through.
Father Epie cautioned the couple against divorce which has become so rampant. He said if the couple should ever dream of tearing their union apart, then it would only be accepted on condition that they would have to re-invite the friends, family members and all who came to witness their wedding in the same church, at the same time and moment.
Meanwhile, during the reception at Lady L Restaurant, Limbe, the Chairman at the occasion, Charly Ndi Chia, The Editor-in-Chief of The Post, said marriage was just the very beginning of divorce. According to him, marriage means couples should start divorcing themselves from the very things that can come to tear rather than bind them in love.
The wedding was, on another note, a congregation of childhood friends, old time school mates, colleagues and more. And the list is long. The Chief celebrant of the Mass, Rev Franklin Fomukong, happened to have been Consty’s childhood friend and schoolmate. Rev. Franklin was not the only one.
There was Takeh Sendze, his best of friends who flew all the way from Tanzania to be part of the wedding. Consty’s acapella group ‘Four Gates’ was conspicuously present, trading their vocal capacity. And the STV colleagues were present, among them Bernard Manyo, Anne Chantal Bisong and Jessie Bawack, who emceed the occasion.
Besides there was Leonard Bruce Behyia of CRTV Douala,Edwin Eselem of Orange Cameroun, Cyril Ngale, Anatole etc and the Eloundou and Mbom families who came to give their blessings to the couple.

Damn it!
Your wife is beautiful.
Congratulations and Goodluck!
