part of any meaningful democracy is the freedomm of expression. Where this aspect is stifled by an administrator to a blogging site, the word becomes a mockery. I have personally copied Mr. Innocent Chia, why he as a forebear of freedom of expression is allowing censorship as part of his way to building a prosperous Cameroon. He must reign over the editorial boad of Upstation Mountain Club.
In building a democratic society, we have to take into account divergent views. All democratic countries true to that word do accept opposition. Erasing someone,s postings because the postings are an affront to some tribal affiliations only go to point that we are not yet ready for democracy.
Upstation Mountain Club was not voted number one in Africa for a bunch of words being continously posted to its website, but for its tolerance of entertainning divergent views. Now i have realized, the management has become nonchalant and gone bananas. Upstation Mountain Club should and must change. Anything short of this, is a mockery to common sense and good judgement.
