Biya's Anniversary Letter: A Failure's Incantation

In a letter to a nation, one would expect a 77 year old man who has
ruled  for 27years, to present a platter of  human and social
developmental strides that have marked his tenure this far at the helm
of the nation.  and how these achievements can be preserved by future
generations.  But Paul Biya - ruler of the Republic Of Cameroon is no
porter of a platter of any kind, after spearheading the plunge of this 
great nation to the abyss of poverty. No doubt his 27th Anniversary
letter to the nation carried a barrage of the  futuristic phrase ``I
will...`` , just like the fool at forty who is vowing not to be a fool
forever.

Without much  to showcase to languishing Cameroonians, Biya had no
choice but to hide under the canopy of   inert and sometimes  illusive
concepts like peace, unity and democracy to present as his hallmarks
for the past 27 years, as if a hungry man knows peace or the thwarting
of the constitution to enable him rule ad infinitum was a democratic
precedence.

The
fact that he highlighted the deprivation of basics like food, health,
shelter, and education to a majority of Cameroonians, confirms the
intensity of the failure of Biya and his Stale Deal policies. He just
didnot want to belabour the points on persistent power cuts, water
shortages, bad roads and dilapidating infrastructure, which are
characteristic of his failed policies, aggravated by the extreme
egocentric manner in which he and his associates embezzle state funds.

Biya's
letter to his militants and the nation smacks of insincerity vis-a vis
his fight against corruption and youth unemployment  The alleged
squandering of  close to a million Euros in a five star French resort,
in three weeks, just a few months following the publication of
statistics about his ill-gotten wealth by a French NGO, is tilting the
balance of Biya's spell on Cameroonians. The lingering memories of
nightmare of the February 2008 strikes, that resulted to the massacre
of hundreds of youths  have not vanished. Those unemployed youths who
survived the killings by Biya's repressive  forces(BIR), are still
desperate- They roam the streets without jobs. Their resolve to witness
a change in the status quo of Cameroonian political arena, exacerbated
by economic desperation, will constitute a major part of Biya's nenemis
during the aftermath of the charade called Presidential elections,
ELECAM  is getting ready to rig in 2011.

The resurrection of the Southern Cameroons palaver by  Banjul Court is not ignorable..
That's
why the regime propagandist,  Issa Tchiroma Bakary( in-charge of
Communication) was the first town crier and messenger,  when the
verdict was made public. The regime's public denial of the existence 
of this issue is being perforated. The reality of historical deceit and
constitutional manipulation is haunting its perpetrators.  Those who 
thought the regime was 'unshakable' especially when they tortured
Southern Cameroonian activists, could not imagine how  a verdict by a
court would set them rushing to misread what they considered gray
portions, instead of analyzing  the carefully worded reprimand  that does
not only buttress the Southern Cameroons cause, but also instigate its
continual pursuit, to the greatest embarrassment of skeptics and
cowards. The Southern Cameroons problem is Biya's recurrent nightmare-
believe it or not!

As
if to make a mockery of determination , Biya draws similarity of
his foolhardy adherence to power with the indomitable spirit of the
national football team. He forgets to be humbled by the fact that, even
though football has brought so much 'pride' to Cameroon, and he has
benefited from the distraction of Cameroonians during possible
political turning points, by the euphoria of Football expeditions like
the World Cup, Cameroon can not boast of befitting stadiums capable of
hosting any major football tournament at the continental level. His 
'lion spirit' has no semblance of resolve to progress a common destiny,
at least not these  27 years that I have been a witness to.

This
is the 27th year Cameroonians have been  buckled by a redundant ruler
whose overdose of inertia has become contagious. A ruler who spends
most of his time in the West recklessly showcasing his spendthrift
abilities using proceeds from the people's resources and hardwork. and
expecting the suffering masses to continuously applaud the misery his
actions have caused them. A ruler who has outstayed his usefulness and
whose rule is nothing more than epileptic fit deserving rescue.

Now you are calling me a nonentity because I am telling the truth and exposing your lies! Were we not fans of Longue Longue when he launched his music carreer? You used to adore him until you voluntarily became one of his carriers(porteur) when he used to travel for concerts with Mutzig, after dropping out from lycee because of financial difficulties. You were even more embittered with CPDM government than the young Cameroonians today. Remember how you forged documents to travel out of the country, under the pretext that your family is still being victimized because of its UPC involvement in the past. You forged documents claiming to be the grandson of Felix Moumie whose widow Marthe Moumie just died some months ago.

So the Community College which you learned English while out there has become St John's College Cambridge, or Sorbonne Paris? Hypocrite! Now you use that same language to abuse your anglophone brothers in Cameroon. Who can give you a good job out there with a bare certificate in English? The white people will get those jobs, not you. Just continue doing your mean jobs... babysitting, fork lifting, cleaning etc. I know you lost your job recently with that delivery company ,but that is not the end of the world. Try other jobs. If you studied bare English out there thinking you will get a white collar job you were mistaken. No body will give you one. Now you have found a better way of using your 'golden achievement' English language- to be abusing other fellow english speaking Cameroonians. Why didn't you study nursing out there, as I advised you too? Dull fellow! And you keep on saying you have a PhD? Why do you deceive the world!
Rich People have secretaries and public relations officers, Poor and lonely fellows like YOU, seek for notice by being impostors of a government that can not make life comfortable for your poor parents in Dibom, Nkam Division Cameroon. You even go as far as presenting yourself as a 'a sexually active Beti' What makes you think taking a Beti identity makes you superior, Dibom Boy. This is the problems with my francophone brothers. People who reject their roots to present an image of importance. Sycophants! You are the reasons why Cameroun is still under its French masters today and Dibom Boy, you are one of the chief slaves.
Go tell a village girl in Dibom, that you drink wine in your cubicle, as if labourer can't afford 4$ to buy a bottle of wine too.

I have told you to forget what that Bayangi lady did to you and be productive!! I know she frustrated you, but pick your bits and move on. Leave the Anglophones alone, their fight is their right. Take care of your family in the village. The fact that they could not afford fees to send you to school is no reason for you to be revengeful. It was not their fault.It is the because of the poor policies of our government. I was in the village last summer and your mother is cursing you. She thinks it is a white lady that has driven you crazy and selfish to them. All attempts to explain that you lost your job fell on deaf ears! Do something about their condition! Wretch!!!
