The Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the United States of America has the honor to inform all the Presidents of Cameroonian cultural associations and socio-professional groups operating in the United States that a team of officials from ELECTIONS Cameroon (ELECAM) is currently in the United States to carry out a census of all Cameroonian citizens eligible to vote in elections in Cameroon with a view to register them on the electoral rolls for the October 2011 Presidential election.
All potential electors are required to present one of the following official documents to the team from ELECAM:
- Their old Cameroonian Vote Card (eventually);
- Their Cameroonian National Identity Card, and/or
- Their valid Cameroonian Passport.
The Ambassador avails himself of this opportunity to: (1) extend greetings to all the presidents of cultural associations and socio-professional groups operating in the United States, (2) underline the importance that the government of Cameroon attaches to this process, and (3) solicit the active cooperation of all, while appreciating your sense of patriotism.

This implies that only Cameroonians living in Washington Dc or those who are willing to travel there will be able to register. What about Cameroonians living in other US big cities?
