Enoh Meyomesse, a Cameroonian writer and blogger [fr] was arrested on November 22, 2011 at Nsimalen airport in Yaoundé, Cameroon on his way back from Singapore. Charged with robbery by the military court of Bertoua, in the north of the country, he is now detained at Nkondengui prison in Yaoundé, where Amnesty International has documented severe over-crowding and life-threatening conditions.

Meyomesse's arrest has sparked many reactions among the Cameroonian online community.

"Charged with robbery by the military court of Bertoua, in the east of the country, he is now detained at Nkondengui prison in Yaoundé..."
It is by reading accounts of despicable acts like these concocted by numbskulls to silence the voices of the voiceless that one is finally convinced that Cameroon has earned its place as the dregs of the community of humans.

Interesting how the average age of thieves and robbers in Cameroon is very high

Some of Vakunta's age mates are thieves in Cameroon

So where is the nexus? Frankly some of the reactions of our countrymen baffle me. We all have different ages; naturally those in prison could match us in age, so where is the big deal linking one commentator age-wise to someone or some persons locked up in Cameroon's prisons?
