BRAVO EMPEROR,
This is ample proof of the love our president has for millions of starving, impoverished, disease plagued and… Camerounians. This is clarion’s call for all the meek to come to reason. Biya means no good to that country. I think only an OUTRIGHT REVOLUTION rid us of these constant heartaches since the politicians have failed woefully. It is unthinkable for someone who claims to be fighting for the uplifting of the common man to go into such a venture at this point in time when we are barely fighting to reach the completion point of the HIPC initiative-which we may never reach. I bet you these last seven years of his reign are going to be most miserable for all Camerounians. Watch out for more misery is coming your way. Be prepared to pay for your greed and stupidity during the just end electoral charade.
Lord help us out.

Mr. Biya is a parasite on the average Cameroonian, unfortunately for Cameroonians a parasite with a big stomach, big head, expensive tastes and one with no intention of going away. He has been clothed (quite expensively, fed (quite expensively) and housed (quite expensively) for forty years by the Cameroonian tax payer ever since he got a civil service job.

When did this man ever compete for anything in his life. Has this man ever had a job interview in his life? I doubt it. Every thing he has got, from his underwear, to his job and now his plane, has been handed to him gratis by the blood and sweat of the average Cameroonian. The man is a professional freeloader, it is the only thing he knows and has done all his life.

What has this man ever built up by himself in this life, that is, except his ego and a kleptocrarcy. This is a man, one misguided contributor to this site advises Cameroonians to ignore, that is, while they are paying extortionate taxes with nothing to show for it except this parasite's aircraft!

Drea

Biya's new plane is to tell the outter world that he is breathing and Cameroon is living. Bravo Pa Paul Chop.

Martin

The aeroplane in the picture has the shadow of an airbus and it belongs to El Al the Israeli State Airline. The characteristic star of David is clearly seen in the vertical stabilizer. Any president whose weak citizens allows him/her to stay in power for 22 years deserves to walk on gold.

Why has this taken anyone by surprise? If you did not know his lifestyle by for the first 40years, then something is very wrong with your thought analysis. Think again.

HAIL TO THE KING
What else is there to say than to hail the king for his wonderful aquisition. To imagine that just a year ago Mr. Biya bought the Albatross which cost millions of francs, and yet its service was short term as it went crumbling. No word about it has been heard till date, who dares question the king.Biya has again spent millions on the new Boeng 767-200. I wonder what will become of this one?. Cameroonians have been blindfolded.Only a few weeks after heavy taxes were imposed on them, the "Lion King" wasted no time in spending tax payers money on a new aircraft, while the adverage Cameronian sits there, not knowing what he would eat the next day. When will Cameroonians realise that they have to stand up against this tyrant who seeks the doom of Cameroon? When will they (Cameroonians)realise that for them to enjoy the wealth of this God blessed nation, the "Lion King" and his bunch of scaliwags must be brought to law?. If Cameroonians do not strike now when the iron is still hot, then they would continue to live as slaves in their father land. All I can wish for,is for the Lord to come help us.

This is no surprise to some of us.After all,the Lion man is used to doing things that are graver than this unnecessary purchase.Since the break down of the Albatross,we've been expecting another irratinal decision like the present one.The intent of all that is known-to make the miserable Cameroonian more miserable, and to widen the gap between the 'aristocrats' and the 'commoners'.Nonetheless,we've been living despite their quest to make us die of hunger, and we'll continue to live by the lord's usual and special Mercy he has for the children he loves so much. After all,it is written in the scriptures that 'man shall not live by bread alone'.
Let's watch our man PLANE continental Europe and the rest of the world, and see how immortal he is than people like Mombutu.
May God Almighty come to our rescue!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to the Monarch
The "strongman" of Etoudi has just proven once more to the cameoonian tax payer that he is putting his (the tax payer's) money into good use. To acquire two planes in less than two years is ample proof that this is a man who means nothing good for his compatriots. If this is what he means by "Grandes ambitions" then i am afraid Cameroonians are in for even much more difficult days ahead. God save my Country ! ! !

Adamu

It does not come to me as a surprise. In this part of the world, leaders see themselves as overlords and so they should get the best at the expense of the entire populance but time will tell

TE

Our most gracious father,
We glorify your name... we exalt you! please dont let your worthy people continue in such misery. We decided to embrace peace as your word advocates. Please handle the situation in our beloved Cameroon according to your will. The once-upon-a-time-seminarian seems to ascertain doom for our country. Please dont let the devil triumph longer, Amen.
Where are the Nkonghos? The Atekwanas, the Joe Nibas and other simpletons? They should have more lessons to give us now!
Biya might have realised that his days are probably numbered, hence he wants to maximise enjoyment. The rumoured thievery in the seminary still goes on!!!He is so stupid that he's oblivious of the fact that his children may have to 'harvest' what he's sowing. The world is such a small place. We'll see!!!

When next the CPDM militants are sending motions of support to Mr. Biya, they might want to include the fact that there are luxury yachts for sale at http://www.offshorewest.com/....just to make use of the spare change left over from the Cameroonanian taxpayer's money after buying the aircraft. Afterall, life is short, and at his age he really wants to speed up spending his loot before he goes six feet under.

Roy

This is a Saudi Prince's luxury jet, not one outfitted as a bus to carry commoners. The lion man deserves no less. He is a great ruler who has brought peace and prosperity. He is practicing stringency and doing his part to end corruption, afterall it is only a second hand plane.
Roy

jobax

How can Cameroon justify her membership of the 'prestigious HIPC club', when the president can afford to buy two jets in less than a year. It goes a long way to expose our lies and corrupt pracitses to the world. We are not so poor as Mr. Biya makes us to appear. Using our money to buy two jets in less than a year is indicative of some amount of financial vaibility of the nation.
Well, the writing is clear and glaring, Mr. Biya wants to crumple the nation in his last term of office, if, at all, he is not going to change the constitution to extend his mandate.
God save Cameroon.

JB Samba

This is the beginning of "Grandes ambitions". Instead of using the Tax payer's money to revamp the many corporations and create jobs for the thousands of University Graduates roaming the streets of our major cities, Biya has opted for a luxurious plane for himself. This is an insult to all Cameroonians regardless of whether they are CPDM supporters or of the opposition or election riggers or motion of support writers. Cameroonians have been so dormant that Biya has privatised the Country to himself and thus Cameroonians should wait for more insults for the next seven years. This is just the beginning.
Where is God? Biya deserves nothing but death. Anyway the time is near.
God Bless Cameroon.

Maybe we should request for help from the disporians. Please what are you guys waiting for? Why dont you get some guys out there to come over and blow off this rascal's brains? The time is now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE SHALL OVERCOME SOMEDAY SOMEHOW:
Fellow Cameroonians,
why waste your time groaning. There is no need to mourn because you have always mourned and done nothing. Instead think of how to manage amidst issues of this nature. Is that the worst thing that has ever happend, at least he bought a jet that we can see, what are the things done with our money that we cannot see, stop cyring and wasting your tears which you will need to use in mourning your dead. There are many to die of poverty and starvation, so keep your tears and help mourn them. Afterall during the period of Monarchy, people were left with no option than praying for the King to die if he was a bad one, since as he was suppose to remain King. Just as the prayed he stays if he was good. So please pray for your King, in what ever way you choose, if he is bad, that he dies, if he is good that he lives longer because someday he will die.
Weep no more for we shall overcome someday, somehow, by the power and anointing of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

" A STUBBORN GRASSHOPPER WILL END UP IN THE GIZARD OF A BIRD"
Oh, come on Mr. Biya! Can't you see you are inflicting grave pain and suffering on Cameroonians? Don't you know that Cameroonians have had enough of your malicious and perversed system of government? Oh, yeah; you made an eloquent and loofty speech promising my fellow countrymen milk and honey under the theme 'Grandes Ambitions"
Old Fox, we're not strangers to all your unfilfilled promises. Old habits really die hard...you have been making thesame promises since you came to power in 1982. You're a swift manupulator...don't ever consider yourself a good leader. We thought things were going change this time around under the new "Grandes Ambitions" but...it seems you meant "Grandes Suffrance"
Now, you have acquired an awesome, expensive and luxurious aircraft, plaited with gold and silver. Have you ever paused in a moment and take stock of all what you have done over the years? Don't you think, the cost price of that airbus is enough money to revamp the ecomomy and create jobs for our jobless youths? I think, you're in a state of dilemma! Can't you see this purchase is too heavy for a country that failed to reach its completion point of the Heavily Indedted Poor countries Initiative?
In my humble opion, this purchase is premature and unwarranted. My fellow brothers, the hour has come...we have to put hands on deck and do something to rescue our mother country. Let's say "Peace to the people...War against Tyrants" God Help Us Your Chosen People!!!

Country Men,

After reading all the reactions, one thing is clear, I could imagine the anger inside the minds of the 'writings'.

I read the discription of the plane's interior, gold plaited, theJournalist had lacked words to describe further, he goes further to say, some ministers and other close collaborators, took a trial flight to and from Douala, then I wondered aloud, did they see anything wrong in the purchase?

I don't know if the PM was part of those who took the ride, so will not react to that, but others in similar positions and quarters would have taken the ride together.

The crux of the matter is, Cameroonians, all of us, we have lost the sense of direction. Nobody can run away from his shadow and the biggest error is to think one day that you have succeded in doing so. All of us are guilty of one thing or the other but to whom much is given much will be demanded.

I am one of the people praying for Biya and all his cohorts to stay longer, after all he gave Cameroonians people 20years of doom, who can say he/she never heard it? Let Musonge, Achidi Achu, Aphraim Angwafor, Inoni,Ebong Ngolle, chief Mukete,Nnoko Belle Etc..... there is nothing as painful as living with your own failures despite all the chances you had to be successful.

"o evil deed can go unpurnished, Any evil done to man by man, shall be redressed, if not now then certainly in further, if not by man then definitely by God for the triumph of evil over Good is but temporary"(Dele Giwa) I strongly believe in this.

May God help us.

Country men,

It may be sooner or later but Judgement will befall all. The Cameroonian blood and sweat that is so woefully destroyed will be accounted for by ALL.

This Govenment that seem to have endless time in Power will be charged in Court one day. They will have to tell us all, what has been happening to our monies and wealth for all this years...........WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to avoid dying young from profound anger. we should try and see the positive side of things.
in a way it is a good thing he got himself a new plane. cos face it . he has to go to europe regularly ( weekly may be) plus a few official trips inside and abraod. whether we like it or not. and before this new plane, he used to do so by using Camair planes. apart from inconveniencing thousands of stranded passengers by seizing planes without notice(my flight was once delayed for 3 days cos of that). he was seriously economically wrecking our dear airline.( mind you, the presidency is the biggest Camair debtor and you know that no one can force the presidency to pay its debt) so may be it is a good thing after all.

James Mukum

Hey guys ! All Presidents are corrupt. Compare Paul Biya to George Bush who has awarded a 1.5 US billion contract to his cronies at Lockheed Martin to build 45 Marine 1 helicopters. The Marines don't even need it. Every marine would prefer heavy armour and a heavier pay check. Lockheed Martin has never built an helicopter ! Let alone, a Marine 1 for the President of the United States!

That is a whooping 800,000,000,000 FCFA. How much of this money would wind up as contributions to political parties and special causes of legislators ? The World is very corrupt. When we talk of corruption then everyone must fear the United States. Pay to play by big business is the most insidious form of corruption on Earth. Corruption in Cameroon pales into specks of dust.

The World is upside down.

James, St Louis.

pw

Mr. Mukum, yours is a typical African solution to an African problem. What is it in the heads of Africans like you who always looks to Europe or America to validate your values, or for solutions when there is a problem in your country? Does it mean anything is ok because that's what Europeans and Americans do? Why for a change can we not lead the world in something? Why can we never seem to show others how to do things right? Why can we not say: "Americans might tolerate corruption in their political leaders, but we would hold ourselves to a higher standard of political values".

That is why George Bush's corrupt election "victory" in the 2000 US elections, and probably in 2004, was a disaster for democracy in Africa. Africans with the mindset of Mr.Mukum, and that includes all the bloodthirsty tinpot dictators in the continent, felt validated in their "democratic" methods. It also robbed the only world superpower of any moral authority in taking a firm stand against electoral fraud in Africa. Mr. Bush's election methods have set back the democratic movement in Africa by a generation, except Africans are confident enough to set their own standards. However, if history is anything to go by, I know that's a tall order.

To paraphrase John Lennon; "I might be a dreamer, but I hope I am not the only one". Free your mind my friend, think creatively!

THE LIVING SPECTRE THAT IS HAUNTING US:

Pose this question to any Kamerunian with a deep perception of the world that; who is Africa’s most dishonest and illusionary head of state? The answer from the absolute majority would be obvious. Our tenant in the unity palace is that head of state.

Kamerun’s second president is a bad leader in the furthest sense of the word. His governance has destroyed most of the foundations of our people’s way of life and progressive values. Unprincipled, unscrupulous and visionless, he was elusive enough during his early years of leadership by convincing many to regard him as a brilliant leader. Yes, he made himself brilliant and appealing to the people even despite his true convictions.

The second Kamerunian president as the demagogue he is, harangued about his NEW DEAL of Rigor and Moralization, when he never intended to work for the interest of all Kamerunians. He came to power for the sole purpose of defending the interest of his patron(The mafia in the French establishment over its African policy), to enhance the material well-being and social position of his clique of unscrupulous businessmen, politicians,, functionaries and above all the ethnic group of his birth.

The second Kamerunian president is a dishonorable man without convictions. He began his political manifestations as a Kamerunian nationalist of socialist orientation under the banner of the Union of the Populations of Cameroon (UPC), but soon unhesitatingly discarded his nationalist garment for the high positions offered to renegades of the Kamerunian struggle by the Anglophobic Ahidjo regime and its French masters. Having switched his loyalty to the glory of naked power in the French-backed regime overseeing the genocide of the union nationalist forces in Kamerun, Paul Biya quickly won the hearts of his patron to become prime minister in 1972 and later president in 1982. After that, he shed all aspects of his ties to Kamerunian nationalism and became a fervent Francophile and Anglophone manipulator. Today, it is clear for all to see that Paul Biya stands as the leader of the renegade forces that may eventually kill Kamerunian nationalism and lead the nation into abyss, denying it the realisation of its century old Kamerunian dream of unity, independence, prosperity and open opportunities. He is a purposeless, faceless and paranoiac leader whose long years of power and the emptiness of his rule have been masked by France and his Kamerunian collaborators.

During his early years as head of state, Paul Biya talked of rigor in the implementation of progressive work ethics, rules, laws, freedom, Human rights and economic reforms, when he never intended the slightest change from the French imposed system he inherited from his predecessor. Biya never had any intention to change the course of dictatorship, corruption, kleptomania and division that was the rule of the system and the trappings of power and wealth it offered. A decade after his pronouncement of rigor, kamerun which had the second fastest economic growth rate in the world after South Korea in 1986( though it lagged behind its true potentials even then), is today with the least promising economy in Africa.

Biya’s moralization rhetoric is an unacceptable abuse to humanity. Promising to make his rule a moral one where governance would be based on a program to enhance the right conducts in public, social, economic and political affairs, he reneged by presiding over the worst degeneration of a non-war ravaged nation in Africa.

Unfortunately, for Kamerunians, Biya is one of those regrettable products of nature with quite an exceptional strength of character that is a negation of a good leadership. It does not bother him in the least that his practically wrong actions and leadership has reduced Kamerunians into a poverty-stricken people, eroded their sense of purpose, divided their ranks, rendered them into the grips of despondence, denigrated their influence in national and international politics, and encouraged corruption to the form of an art; and above all, it suits his propose that he has wrapped kamerun into the clutch and whims of France.

For the past twelve years, Biya has ruled Kamerun more like an absentee caretaker than even an absentee landlord. A two-month trip abroad for amusement using the taxpayer’s money is unprecedented from any head of state. Nevertheless, it surprises only those who have no insight into his personality. Biya committed moral suicide years ago and now lacks the morality that is expected from a head of state. His rule has shattered the bilateral respect that prevailed between the different generations.

From peasant origins, Biya has learnt, but wrongly assimilated aristocratic values. The sad result of this is his blatant and unjustifiable contempt of the masses from where he had his origins. As a man of high learning, it is unfortunate that despite his long years of service in the system, he still possesses all the traits of a pseudo-intellectual and a pedant. And it is due to his awareness of his intellectual feebleness that he has developed a masked inferiority complex. That is why he rejects, snubs and shies away from the good ideas of his intellectual superiors.

Kamerun is the only nation in Africa where its true liberation fighters and nationalists were never permitted to the helm of power. It is the first nation in Africa where France became deeply involved in collaboration with Ahidjo, in the genocide of those who resisted its deception (close to a million deaths in the 1956-1970 war against the UPC). Kamerun is the only country in Africa, which has been the most cruelly raped in our modern times by France. Even though Kamerunians are one of the most dynamic people in the continent, they have never been left to their devices to harness their potentials and build their country into the great nation that it truly deserves. Instead, Kamerunians have been brought low by a conspiracy hatched during the years of Jacques Foccart’s control of French policy on Africa, a conspiracy that has effectively used Kamerunian collaborators, especially Paul Biya.

It does not bother the second Kamerunian president in the least that the Kamerunian people are suffocating in his bondage. He has lost touch with the Kamerunian masses, the Kamerunian reality and life in its different forms. However, unlike his psychopathic counterpart, the Roman emperor Nero, he has mastered one art-the art of retaining power despite the opposition from the masses. And as most megalomaniacs and experimentalists, he would continue to experiment with his theory of power retention, despite his unpopularity, not worried that the Kamerunian people are being dragged into abyss in the process.

Biya is performing his theory of power retention on us, an experiment that is certainly going to destroy the best of our creative forces if left to persist. Moreover, with that will be the destruction of the faith we have in our dream and worst still the mother of progress, which is hope. The sad result of the disaster of Biya’s rule would be the death of kamerun. To our rational minds, that is unacceptable.

Perhaps for a little while longer, the living specter of the second Kamerunian president will continue to haunt us, treacherous in his ways, ruthless in his methods and nonchalant in his views. It is our unavoidable task, if only for the sake of our children, that we rise up; take back our dignity, hope and future from him and his patrons. Then following the natural course of history, we shall confine him and his legacy to the dustbin of history.

BR STANISLAUS MARY NSOTAKA

IT IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THAT MR BIYA SHOULD CONTINUE SQUANDERING OUR COUTRY'S RESOURCES THIS WAY. HE BOUGHT A PLANE JUST LAST YEAR AND HAS GONE IN FOR ANOTHER. IS THAT WHAT THE COUNTRY REALLY NEEDS? MR BIYA I THINK CAMEROONIANS HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT WITH YOU. WHAT PROFIT DO YOU GET TO CHANGE PLANES YEARLY WHEN YOUR COUNTRYMEN AND WOMEN HAVE NO GOOD ROADS?

SHAME ON YOU MR PRESIDENT. REMEMBER THAT THE "BIRD THAT FLIES UP MUST ONE DAY COME DOWN" O GOD SAVE CAMEROON. WE ARE PERISHING

Frank

Only one solution for Southern Cameroonians: total independence. Anyone thinks it would make any difference to us whether it is Ahidjo, Biya, Maigari, Tchuente, Mbaraga or any other Franco-Camerounese? Only difference between Ahidjo and Biya, Ahidjo was more secretive at hiding his crap through disinformation and terror.

It is difficult to admit living like this; But Cameroonians should put their trust in GOD, for he is the only one to bring Mr.Biya to trial.Patriotism is not in his vocabulary . Many had lived like him (Mobutu, Samuel Doe…) but they are all history today. They all left the Boeings, the villas abroad and huge sums of money in foreign banks. A thief will always remain a thief in life, if Biya could steal sugar from a semenary, then actually he can steal much more from a country blessed with riches and people who only speak and can't act who say they want peace.Take a look at neighbouring Nigeria and see for yourself, a president cannot stay there for more than 8years but biya has been there since 1982 to show how peaceful we are and yet he brings no modernisation but carries cameroon to be hailed as the most corrupt country in the world a couple of times. If we weren't peaceful, then i think he should have left because he has stolen alot and now he even steals without fear of being persecuted or judged.A nw plane barely a year after Albatross failed him. Down with biya and i see your days are been counted just know that the same way you tricked Ahidjo out of the presidency, so shall you leave if God is with you otherwise you'll be assassinated as your first wife Irene Biya was before you got married to Chantal Biya.God is looking at you biya and you'll go for it i tell you, you have no plans for the ordinary citizens in cameroon and all you do is squander the money brought in by people's sweat.God be with us and you'll go like your fellow technocrates who if there was a way, they could buy life but that is where we always say "PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HE IS GOOD", we shall all go down six feet deep even if you are been buried with a golden coffin of stolen money, you close aids will dig your grave and remove the money because they too are hoping you die quick so as to escape with huge amounts of money. You will die like Mobutu, Abacha, Idi Amin amongst others not forgetting late Bernard Eding who thought sonara was his private property.

mukete, it is most unfortunate that you have not yet come to the realisation that human life is the most important gift we have, and it is our duty to respect and preserve it.A violent breakaway(war) from la republic, at the cost of innocent lives of women and children, is an option that i refuse to accept. It is tantamount to the worst form of human right abuse...even worse than what la republic is now doing. I will not be party to it because i am not a murderer. If you do not have a conscience anymore, and are willing to steep your hands in innocent blood, then go ahead and keep on calling for war.You have probably never heard of mahatma Ghandi or martin luther king.By the way, if you can afford to think like you do, what makes you better than Biya?

Why are we crying over spilt milk?Biya is a corpse already. What disturbs me most is his age.He will not stay long enough to stand his trial for crimes agaist his compatriots.Ashia Taylor...he never knew this will happened and he was escaping from nigeria to meet his friend in Etoudi.Nemesis will judge him is a natural phenomenon.See Biya in Hague or Sierra leone

WOUNJA MODEST

MR BIYA,
THIS NIGHT, YOU ARE GOING TO ADDRESS THE NATION AGAIN, TELLING US THE SAME STORY: 'ATTACHEZ VOS CENTURES'. THE COUNTRY IS DELAPIDATING AND NO ONE CARES. CAMEROONIANS ARE TIRED OF YOU. WE DO NOT NEED SPEECHES NOW BUT WE NEED ACTION. WE WANT GOOD ROADS, BEAUTIFUL STADIA, BETTER WAGES, PEACE. ALLOW CAMEROONIANS TO FEEL THAT THEY ARE CAMEROONIANS. I AM SURE THAT YOU ARE PLANNING TO BUY ANOTHER PLANE THIS YEAR 2010. LET ME TELL YOU THAT IF YOU BUY ANOTHER PLANE, YOU ARE GOING TO DIE IN A PLANE CRASH WITH YOUR FAMILY AND WITH NO ONE TO MOURN YOU BECAUSE EVEN YOUR SO-CALLED MINISTERS WILL BE HAPPY TO SEE YOU DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. GOOOD BYE MVONDO, SEE YA IN HELLLLLLLLLLLL

also remember in December 1990 during Fale Wache’s launching of Lament of a Mother, Bate Besong presented a paper in which he advised the government to build more prisons the following year (1991) because that year will be one when all Cameroonians would prefer to be incarcerated in prison than see their rights confiscated. It came to pass. 1991 was a year of conflict and crisis, a year of tension and terror, a year of ghost town and Ghost University.
