Cameroonians in the Diaspora know their country is bad. Corruption stinks and the people tell lies. Telling lies has become a devastating pass time in Cameroon.

Dear Mr Glenn I have read with great sadness your letter to the prime minister. I share your views on the deplorable state of the judiciary here in Cameroon. Cameroon is a lawless Country where justice is on the most part given to those with financial power to the detriments of the common rightful people.

I have had terrible experiences of such; can you imagine in most parts of the North West Province, where there is rampart farmer graziers problems; a poor farmer who lives entirely on farming is locked up for trying to seek jutice. That is to say farmers are victims of crops destruction by moving cattles own by grazers and because the grazers are rich, they buy justice in which case the poor farmer who dare seek justice to be compensated for their crop destruction are rather caught and locked up for months at times years without even trial. It really sounds painful but that is what we undergo in this corrupt country so called Cameroon.

The fact is the truth will always prevail irrespective of what. Courage Bro. Glenn we are behind you in prayers. I dream of a freedom land called southern cameroons were investors shall have their rightful place, were they will be encouraged and serve as the springboard for development. God bless you.

Knowing all these - that Cameroon is one of the most corrupt countries in the world -- what are we goring to do about it? TO THINK REFORM CAN COME FROM WITHIN THIS CAMEROONIANS SYSTEM is the equivalence of insisting that the Fox guards the chicken’s house. Please do not come here after another article stemming from another predictable corruption occurrence to be essentially crying that the FOX ATE THE CHOCKENS.

ACCEPTING SLAVERY --the status of the so called ANGLOPHONES people in Cameroon today!!!
The people most victimized by this Cameroonian society are the so called ANGLOPHONES! This is the same people who once had their own country -- independent country --and turned it down for annexation by Cameroon. So if today they are now the victim of the Cameroonian system they deserve it! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

SOLUTION: Join the liberation process now under the way as proposed by the Republic of Ambazonia. The AMBAZONIA LIBERATION PARTY [ALIP] has defined for our people a new VISION OF HOPE in this Mid-West Central African Sub-region. Please do not hesitate in becoming part of this liberation process for the alternative is to live your life in perpetual enslavement inside a system recognized by the rest of the world as completely decadent.

Let us AMBAZONIANS gather under this new thrust of the de-colonization of our country, Ambazonia and leave once and for all the Cameroonians to deal with their culture. As corruption is part of it, it is nothing unusual since it is part of their acceptable cameroonian culture.

For more about the Ambazonia and the liberation ideology of the AMBAZONIA LIBERATION PARTY [ALIP}, please open this link: http://liberation-party.1.am. IT IS PAST TIME FOR ALL OF US AMBAZONIANS TO TAKE RESPONSIBLITY OF OUR VERY OWN LIBERATION FROM THIS PAN-CAMEROONIANS NEO-IMPERIALISM.

We have seen this situation before in the United Kingdom.

Do you remember Conservative Cabinet Minister Jonathan Aitken's flat and categoric denial that the Saudi Arabian government had not paid for his bill at the Ritz Hotel in Paris? He went on to challenge a newspaper to prove the allegation. The Guardian Newspaper did not only oblige, but it exposed the elaborate charade Jonathan Aitken had used (including asking his innocent teenage daugther and wife to lie about the payment) to cover the Saudi payment.

Dr. Murungaru has called his bluff and Transparency International has responded appropriately by asking the Kenyan Government to put in a request for the damning evidence. Transparency International has no quarrel with a never-do-well thieving African miinister. To stoop to Dr. Murungaru's level would be to open the flloodgates of individual quarrels with the many thieving Ministers in Africa - SPINELESS MEN WHO HAVE NEVER LEARNED TO EARN A LIVING AND PERSISTENTLY PREY ON HELPLESS AFRICAN MASSES (for the most part women and children).

Transparency International has thrown the gauntlet at the Kenyan Government, which has the power and authority to prosecute Dr. Murungaru for theft of public funds once the evidence is presented. Infact, armed with a request from the Kenyan Government Transparency International may even go the extra mile to provide further proof of the rampant theft by other Kenyan Government Ministers. The benevolent British High Commmissioner to Kenya has spent most of his time in Kenya exposing rampant high level corruption and thievery in the Kibaki Government.

The thieving Kibaki government will not rise to Transparency International's challenge and request the damning evidence against Dr. Murungaru. Kibaki may not want to set a precedent against his comrades-in-thievery. Transparency International should be prepared to act without the request from the Kenyan Government. Exposing Dr. Murungaru will go a long way to warn other thieving Africans that there is no safe haven for their ill-gotten gains. African thieves should not be at ease in Western Banks.

Are African Ministers unabashed indolent thieves? Do these people have any sense of honour? How can a self-respecting person steal and live off the resources of down-trodden African masses? How can these people condemn a whole race to perpetual servitude? Go through the London Underground at night and see battallions of black Africans srubbing and shoving. Why must these men (for the most part) be allowed to perpetuate the debilitating misery that forces Africans, educated and uneducated, to become servants and labourers in the Western World? Africans are perpetually eeking a marginal existence or fighting to survive while these thieving buffoons lord it over them.

And we keep asking why Afrrcans don't read or write. Can a race that is perpetually hustling to survive have the peace of mind to read, assimilate and contemplate? Those Africans who have made measurable progress towards a comfortable life must deal with EXCESS BAGGAGE - the many family relations suffering from the debilitating effects of misrule and thieving in Africa. These Africans on the threshold of a comfortable life must continuously detract from their savings (towards investment) to meet the survival needs of their ever expanding extended families (sex is the main recreational activity in poor African economies and this accounts for the ever increasing population)

Then there are those Africans who continuously compromise their future economic prosperity by being avid conspicuous consumers. How can people not far removed from poverty and whose poor relations remind them every day of their lowly beginnings chose to spend money on big houses and expensive cars? Is this due to an inate sense of inferiority - trappings of wealth giving us a sense of worth? And how can a people so intent on showing off ever become PARSIMONIOUS and save towards investment and ecomomic growth in Africa? These conspicuously consuming Africans will, no doubt, resort to stealing if they were ever to become ministers in African governments. They will have to contend with their expensive tastes, poor relations, and a general love for the good life.

Materalism is an END for most theiving Africans.

Glen has done his part and the gauntlet has been thrown to to the Cameroonians. It will be terrible to see the goat bleating at strangers while the dog sits there unconcerned licking the bones. The government should not only deal with this case but should also look into those Cameroonians who fiddle foreign women and run back to hide in Cameroon believing that running back to Cameroon makes them untouchable. The disadvantage with that is that it gives the country a very bad name. Take the case of Tanekeu Hubert who defrauds Annie Lee of Hong Kong only to claim that she wanted him to place a bomb in Kenyan Airways. So he(Tanekeu Hubert) took the money and gave to Tsunami victims. If we don't act now we will always lack foreign investors. Until when we have such powers that we do no more need the approval rating of foreign investors then can we neglect these types of issues because they hurt and keep hurting us big time.

Dear Mr. Wilson,

Sorry to hear about your harrowing ordeal in Cameroon. I don't know if you're speaking all the truth but I do know that such misdeeds are not beyond the Cameroon authorities.

I have only one advice for you. The political will to administer justice in Cameroon is simply not there. All those you are appealing to: Biya, Inoni are the very ones who propagate such an oppressive and corrupt system. They have stolen so much from the country, that it is in their interests to have a lawless system. They don't have justice and the common good at heart. By trying to get justice through the Cameroonian system you will be wasting your precious money. Only until a just government comes to power can you recover your money.

I had a similar experience in Cameroon. I saved some money with a local bank called National Investment and Savings. The bank closed its doors one fine morning with millions of citizen's savings. The government has not said anything about it or tried to repay the customers. I was foolish enough to spend further money in legal action. Nothing came out of it. Of course the big shots in the bank were either government authorities or had political patronage.
Look at the situation of the Post Office Savings Bank. I can assure you that the President's hands are not clean in the matter. Afterall he personally caused the collapse of another bank by using its funds to build a countryside palace for himself.

Make no mistake my friend. Cameroon is run by EVIL men, men without human hearts. Their crimes and injustices stink to heaven. Know what you are up against and have no illusions. Somebody who has spent their entire life stealing and blocking justice cannot change overnight.

karel GEERTS

I am a foreigner private investor and living in Cameroon for about 5 years, I was not send by an organisation or a company to Cameroon but has came and invest by my own descision. The descision to invest in Cameroon hasn't been principaly motivated by generating high results but just to have a satisfactory standard livestile out of ocidental stressy life style. Anyhow sharks in Cameroon are definitely not making any difference out of this. To be sure every Cameroonian himself has been victimised of irregularities, unjustices, coruption and his own walk of life his every day on high alert. Consequently a foreigner is definitely not better off and set-ups and maffia styled processes against him are socialy even silently accepted, lets say together with football even the national sport. To let have justice done you can read Glenn's experiences where it leads to (that what he writes is the truth becouse I have eyewitnessed it). By not having any knowledge that such practices and mentality even exist is the only mistake that Glenn has made, however the world and especialy Cameroonians themself would be better off if this evyl can be educated as WRONG. In any case it is their own country and they do with it whatever they want, who are we to tell them what to do. The only thing what we can do is being very carefull where we go and where to invest. Therefore a sensibilisation through media, embassy's or national foreign offices to get informed about what has happened in the past can help future potecial investors to take
those information seriously in consideration in the calculation by their descisions. Anyway a policemen told me lately that it is better we all go back where we are coming from and not to come to Cameroon, in the aeroport stones has being trowing to me, different prices for foreigners and locals in official institutions is pure discrimination and reminds me at apartheid but seems to be normal in Cameroon, receiving dayly insults from the men on the street doesn't help me despite my sincere willingness to see this country more positive. Please take note that I know a lot of wonderfull Cameroonians and that I have made sincere friends.

ambe jonhnson

Hello Ms. Lee,

For weeks now, you have been flooding Cameroonian and African internet fora with your crusade. If I understand your story correctly, a Cameroonian duped you IN HONG KONG. So how on earth do you expect the justice system IN CAMEROON to help you??? Even if the Cameroonian in question has fled back to Cameroon, is there an extradition treaty between Cameroon and China? The answer again is NO. So what exactly do you want Cameroonians or the Cameroonian judicial system to do?

Yours is a most misguided campaign which aims at nothing other than painting all Cameroonians with the same brush. Please don't take a private matter between you and your man and transform it into a international incident between states.

Randy

Ms Lee,

It's very unfortunate that this happened to you, but on the other hand, it's very hard for me to understand what exactly you intend to achieve with your campaign.

1) If your intention is to totally humiliate and put this guy to shame, then I think you're making your mark already. His photo is already on the net and I can assure you that he'd never have a peace of mind for the rest of his life.

2) But if your intention is to tell the world that all Cameroonians are like your loverboy, then you are commiting a monumental judgmental error which no Cameroonian will take lightly.

I live in Japan and from my experience, one thing that is very characteristic of Chinese, Koreans and the Japanese themselves is that you quickly jump to conclusions about other nationalities, painting them with one brush as Mr Ambe Johnson says.
IT's no secret that Japanese treat Chinese here with such cool disdain because to them, Chinese are a crooked bunch who come here just for prostitution and armed robbery. This is true for many chinese who are here but I know that NOT ALL Chinese are like that because I have made friends with so many of them who are very decent people.

What also baffles me is what you intend to do if someone told you where to find Tenekeu Hubert in Cameroon. Like a lone wolf, you want to travel to Cameroon, pluck him from his hiding place and take him to Hong Kong (the crime scene) to face justice?

Frank

When you sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas. Southern Cameroonians never used to be like this! We want our country back so that we can restore civility.

Annie Lee

I have many friends who is Cameroonian , they are very good man & family , But because this kind of bad person , they are harder in the world , And some Chinese disdain Cameroonian in Hong Kong also. Not because I open the true to the world .

If you are Cameroonian , why you not re-build your country to let everybody know this is wrong , if you not stop this case happen , Sometime , face the true is better than cover your eye , The bad group will think cameroonian will stand by them not the true .

I would like to remind everyone what this guy done in Hong Kong .because this guy cheating over 10 woman in Hong Kong ,This guy's family is do this cheatting business with him , No matter He hide in Cameroon So I don't want any person who have go on my suffer .

I belived that your country can come back , because I saw your are comment on Website .

Felix

Dear Glenn,
You are one of the many investors that have experienced sadness in trying to invest economically in one of the most corrupt countries on the African continent. This is quite sad but it is a good lesson for you foreigners, especially as foreign nations deliberately ignored calls by the people of this corrupt country to stop defending and sustaining an illegitimate and corrupt regime. The people's call fell on deaf ears of the international community and now they begin to feel the sense in it in a bitter way.May be to you Glenn as an individual, you were not aware of the system but bear in mind that Cameroon and many other African nations are heavily corrupt and it is not something new to the world. There is no new chapter on corruption that you will open to the world about Cameroon that will be strange to the international community that continues to support corrupt government on the African continent. That is why many of the foreign victims of these corrupt practices on the Afican continent have always stayed mute because it boomeranged on them.

Glenn Wilson

Hi Felix,
I totally agree that those countries that support the system of corruption in Cameroon are equally guilty of the crimes against citizens. No wonder it all seems to much, with the worlds super powers aiding and abetting this dictatorship. After the debacle of the American election, I wonder if everyone has decided that corruption is too much to fight against. Those American observers in Cameroon for the elections, were either blind, stupid or very very corrupt. My issue is; If this corrupt dictatorship in Cameroon wants to cheat and steal from its citizens and foreigners, then they should have the balls to stand up and say it. They should just tell everyone to go to hell, rather than play some charade of democracy and decency.

Call a spade a spade.

Those that are involved have an interest in doing anything to keep this continued disasterous system in place. Until Cameroonians can come together and act as one, the criminals will continue to feast on your resources.
Glenn Wilson

Felix

Dear Glenn,
Thank you for taking time to reason objectively.Corruption is one of the most serious dangers threatening humanity and once it has caught up a system that affects humanity, and at an alarming rate, it is a clear indication that there are forces within and without fanning the evil.Corruption on the African continent seems to be an imported issue and because African nations depend more on foreign aid, they are ignorantly and stupidly accepting to be the willing servant to the evil that trickles its way into the society for its own selfish ambitions.African citizens especially the ordinary citizens do not support corruption or any corrupt regime because they have been and are victims just like you. They have always put on a brave and unanimous fight against those evil practices but unsuccessful because of external momemtum fortifying corrupt regimes against their own innocent people.Maybe your case though not singular, and your determination to see justice, could be the prelude to the destruction of this villain. You will surely be putting on a reasonable fight if you will mount pressure on the international community to see the negative results of what they sowed in Africa, your case and many others being substantial evidence. We all stand behind you.
Felix
China

frank

Inoni will not solve Glenn's problems or the problems of others if:
1) He does not declare his own assets. Is he blameless after all these years of consorting with thieves?
2) He does not go after the big thieves-and the big thieves go as high as the Chiracs and the Mitterands.
I am not optimistic.

The real solution will start when the Southern Cameroons has been restored to independence and works to return to public accountability which it had in the beginning. La republique du Cameroun will then collapse before starting down the path of genuine recovery.

karel

- Since how many generations and in how many African countries there has been sucessfully instolved and let functioned a credible juridical system?
- Until now justice hasn't reached further than the village, so aren't we promoting something which doesn't seems achieveble?

M

Karel,Annie Lee,and Glenn, you all deserve much mercy. However,Glenn,if you are not careful, you will be hit again.Requesting any form of assistance from a guy like Inoni,is simply asking the PM to get his head on a table and asking you to hack it off with an ax.He works for that rogue system(country of bandits, plunderers, and usurpers),so he can't do that! What you all victims(and you are quite many)from Germany,Sweden,Holland,China, should rather be doing is to assist Ambazonia's hard-earned independence to be recognised. Then you all western investors WILL have a safe and positive investment friendly Southern Cameroonian nation, based on a stable, predictable, and supportive investment framework that will be enforced by an efficient public adminitration.
