SCNC Alerts UNPO On Plot To Kidnap Leaders
Southern Cameroons National Council, SCNC, Chairman, Chief Ayamba Ette Otun, has petitioned the General Secretary of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation, UNPO, at The Hague stating that the government of Cameroon is planning to kidnap SCNC leaders. "Reliable information from SCNC security agents reveals that La République du Cameroun is out to kidnap SCNC leaders.
This will only aggravate the tension between the two parties. This is a situation we want to avert," states Chief Ayamba. The memo to the UNPO General Secretary dated December 15, is captioned "Continuous Arrest and Detention of SCNC Leaders and Activists.
" According to the memo, those arrested and detained incommunicado for over three weeks include; Maxuel Oben and Samuel Achu. They are being held at the gendarmerie and the police cells in Mamfe and Limbe, respectively. The SCNC Chieftain fears that the long detention without charges preferred against them "can possibly lead to a breach of SCNC motto by irate youths, who are getting angrier as days pass by."
Meanwhile, in a separate press release on the first anniversary of UNPO and Southern Cameroons relationship, Chief Ayamba described the admission of the Southern Cameroons into the UNPO as a gigantic step. He expresses gratitude to the UNPO for its enormous support all this while, especially during the UNPO Annual General Assembly last year that let to the election of SCNC National Vice Chair Nfor Ngala Nfor into its ten-man membership presidency."

African Commission Grants MBOSCUDA Observer Status
The African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights has granted the Mbororo Socio-Cultural and Development Association, MBOSCUDA, an observer status. The African Commission members took the decision recently during its 38th ordinary session in Banjul, The Gambia. MBOSCUDA is a development organisation founded in 1992 to take care of the socio-cultural and economic development of the pastoralist Fulani people of Cameroon, known as the Mbororos.
According to a press release signed by MBOSCUDA's representative at the African Commission, Ibrahim Njobdi, the association's file was pending since May 2004 when it was submitted at the 35th ordinary session of the Commission. The file, the release states, was examined and presented to the commission by Commissioner Angela Melo from Mozambique, who convinced the Commission that "the MBOSCUDA's application file is complete and convincing.
" MBOSCUDA's representative to the Commission also clarified some issues such as the English and French appellation of the association. This, the release further expatiates, "is because the abbreviation MBOSCUDA does not appear on the legalisation document as in the constitution."
The decision to grant observer status to NGOs, working in the field of human rights in Africa was taken in February 1988 during the Commission's 11th ordinary session in Dakar, Senegal. Since then, over 300 NGOs have been granted observer status.
The cooperation with the African Commission will now provide MBOSCUDA with the support and opportunity to work closely with the Commission to enhance human rights. They are also authorised to prepare "shadow" reports on the human rights situation in their respective countries.

Parents Resist Polio Vaccine
A teacher of Government Technical High School Kumbo and a servant of the True Church of God, Tobin Kumbo, December 11, refused to allow their children take the polio vaccine because of their religious beliefs. The teacher, Samuel Bemji, whose children have been confined and have no access to formal education, said his children were covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and needed no vaccination against poliomyelitis.
Eugene Tarven, on the other hand, said his children were not ready to receive the vaccine because of his relationship with God. The two parents only surrendered their children for vaccination when the Chairman of the commission in charge of the poliomyelitis and his team educated them on the importance of the exercise.
The commission, which includes the District Medical Officer for Kumbo West Health District, Achidi Asanga, is headed by the Assistant Divisional Officer for Kumbo Central Subdivision, Tamilo Thomas. Asanga said the team would go back in January 2006 for measles vaccination to be carried out. According to him, resistance against the vaccine was also witnessed when the team spent over three hours to vaccinate only three children.

Cameroon Government has the rights to defend itself and defend the Cameroonian People. They must defend the People of Cameroon from these Criminals.

Jones,i agree with you to a very critical extent.
La Republique has inflicted poverty, as you summarily, and correctly put it in your own word(poverty) on their Anglophone counterparts. This clearly is an unfair thing to do.
The presence of the SCNC is to press for fairness and justice, so as to liberate Anploghones from bondage and poverty.
I am glad you can see the problem Jones

There have been a few articles here at the post about aspects of the AIDS issue. They give some interesting information as well as identities of key people who could help you. For example there was an interview of an expert who stated that the North west province followed by the SW Province have the highest prevalence rates of AIDS. Why is that?
