Government To Create More Councils In Kumba

The Section President of CPDM Meme I, Prince Ekale Mukete, has said the government would soon create more councils in Kumba to bring administration nearer to the people. According to Ekale, if more councils are created in Kumba, the boundaries of the town would expand and it would become more cosmopolitan. He said both local and foreign investors would then be attracted to Kumba, and would thus create more employment.

Ekale was speaking to CPDM party militants at the party secretariat in Kumba on January 30.The occasion was to evaluate party activities for last year and set the pace for 2006.

In his speech, Ekale expressed disappointment at the poor construction work done on the secretariat, worth FCFA 800 million.  He said if such an amount of money had been properly used on the building, then he and other party members would have had offices there.

He announced that he would personally give the building a face-lift.The Section President told his militants that next year, the party would be reorganised, followed by a census of party militants and the issuance of party cards to them.

He said two more CPDM sections would be created in addition to the 19 already in existence. He entreated the militants to forget about their differences of the past and concentrate on the future.

To Mr Mukete:TAKE NOTE THAT WE DON,T NEED MORE COUNCILS IN KUMBA.

The first thing i would like to tell you is that you have no power to determine the statue of Kumba. You are a CPDM Section President and you should be talking about your party politics.

Investors (be it local or international) don,t invest in a town because a town has more councils. Mr Mukete, investors invest where there is a condicive envoronment. Good infrastructure, good communications network, accessible farm to market roads, lack of corruption, embezzlement and good security are the aspects people take into consideration beforte investing in a given region.

Look at how stupid and selfish Ekale thinks. He is lamenting of not being to have an office in the secretariat. I always say that you guys think only of yourselves, your family and a few blinded friends.

You can create as many wards as possible for your CPDM party in Kumba, but you should not be talking about my (our) Kumba having more councils.

I am a Bafaw man too like you. You people have spoiled our town.

You know you of the CPDM don,t have a place in Kumba because you have grossly contributed to the mess of this our nice town. That is why you want to create more councils so that you of the Chop People Dem Money Party could be dreaming of controlling some councils in Kumba.

It will not happen. You want your brother to be MAYOR of council 1 and the other to be MAYOR of Council 2 and you the Section President, and your father, the Government Representative (seeing that the Minister has said there would be no Gove't Delegate from 2007).

I call on all the native (i am a native too) and all the residents to challenge you on this shameful strategy.

Give us what we want. So, Kumba should have Kumba town tarred, Buea Road, Mbonge Road Fiango and not tarred b/c they belong to a different council. But you fail to understand that those staying in Kumba town would be travelling to these places too?

You are very shortsighted. People can now see what egoism means. Because you are so power hungry, you want to divide Kumba just for personal ambitions. Shame to you ASHI.

Progressive Cameroonians want actions today. I doubt any Government bureaucracy really creates job. But I give you a benefit of the doubt, given the facts that I do not really know your project in depth.

TO PRINCE MUKETE.

KUMBA NEEDS MORE CHIEFDOMS & NOT MORE COUNCILS.

If you Mr Mukete, the son of Nfon Victor Mukete think that you want to bring administration closer to the people, you and your father should create more chiefdoms in Kumba.
I shall declare myself the Chief of Fiango, or Kumba Mbeng or maybe Mbonge Road. And my other Bafaw brothers will declare themselves chief of the other quarters in Kumba. Then i would like to see your reactions.

Your family has spoiled Kumba. It is still doing so. I know you would one day succeed your greedy father and you shall be worst than him.

Can you tell us what you and your family have done for this town-Kumba?

You only get idiot Bafaw guys to go around beating, threatenning and even killing people who are opposed to you.

Remember that you don,t own Kumba. You are just working for Biya who intend is serving the French. So, you are just helping the French to destroy your own very people for selfish gains.

Where is AYUK jOHNSON (your paddyman)today? What happened to our nice brother Barister Martin Esseme? Can you tell us why before the verdict of the Esseme Murder case you and your brother Akwo had to flee the country? Did you and your brother not telefone at Azi Motel from your refuge abroad to ask about the outcome of the verdict? Did you not say after hearing that Ayuk Johnson had been condemned to death by firing squard, that you were going to make an appeal? Now, if you had nothing to do with the Esseme case, why did you escape and why did you say you were going to make an appeal? And why did you return to Cameroon only after the verdict?

It is a shame that when lawyer was killed, the town was not so noisy and Bafaw people were not so much interested about the murder of this nice guy. But when an ASHI was killed for attempting to steal cocoa, the whole Bafaw indegenes had to come out protesting. Shame unto us Bafaw. I know very few Bafaw guys like me who are frank.

I am proud to be a Bafaw guy. But i am ashamed of what some of us Bafaw guys are doing.

The moment in which more councils are created in Kumba, i shall declare myself chief of one of the new councils and i shall see who would come and say that i am not a chief.

We need developments and not councils.

Biya created many ministries in a small country like Cameroon only to help his "brothers" still monies. This is more cost for us Cameroonians. More Pajeros, etc, etc bought by tax payers.

Only incompetence, embezzlement and greed has made Kumba just like most part in Cameroon to be what it is.

If there is competence, no embezzlement and no greed, Kumba will be a nice place. The number of councils in a town has nothing to do with developments.

Why has Yaounde and Doula not improved in their services?

Mr Mukete, that town Kumba, is not yours. It is not your property.

I grew up in Kumba though not a Bafaw.The Bafaws claim to be born and breed in Kumba.Whereas they are ones making Kumba to be what it is today.Look at the small tartared market and muddy-dusty roads,not leaving out the poor constructions they call buildings.They make loud noise for nothing.

I bet you if not of the 'foreigners' and the 'come-no-gos'in Kumba, then Kumba would have been in crumbles, following boom in the economy.All the businessmen and women are not Bafaws.The Bafaws boys will hit his chest to tell you "I am a Bafaw boy", but go to his hut(home) and see his poor parents,you will say these are just noise makers.They are the ones threatening the lifes of non-Bafaws in Kumba.Mostly those who oppose the MUKETES.

I don't want to hear any more complain from any Bafaw man about Kumba.As they claim Kumba is theirs they should build or destroy it.

All what is happening in kumba today is thanks to the destruction whatsocalled Mukete's Family under the CPDM regime.They have the bread and knives to cut Kumba to whatever amount they want....more grease to their elbows...

I have read the above article and comments. Weather Ekale was involved in the Esseme murder or not, his brothers Akwo and Abel were actually involved as i followed the case.

But this is not my point6 here. I dislike Nnoko Mbelle. I have nothing against foreigners because i am also a foreigner where i am. But Nnoko is a biafra as it is known just like the Muketes are Ngi people.

I am a real Bafaw. Mukete 4 (whom i know) is an angry Bafaw guy who loves Kumba and hates all those Bafaw giguns who have not done anything to make Kumba a better place.

This is my point now. Ekale should understand that Kumba needs roads, electricuty, good structures, etc. The creation of more councils has nothing absolutely to do with investments. Zero actually.

From what i can say, the idea of creating more councils is for the Muketes to have a control of a portion of Kumba. Selfish attituder again. And from the comment defending the MUKETES, written by Akwo Mivhael, it shows the intention of the Muketes. It shows that they are against Nnoko Mbelle and the only way to reduce his influence in Kumba is to think of creating more councils.

Wrongful thinking. Kumba will never be controlled by the Muketes because even a goos number of the Bafaws are not with the Muketes. I am not either with the Muketes nor with CAVEN MBELLE.

These are just proud and greedy guys. Like son of the soil, i don,t care who runs the municipality of Kumba. We want but develpoments. Hilary cliton is not from New York. But she is a senator representing NY. So, if any Cameroonian with good sense of development can head the council of Kumba, and give it a better "look", then i will be pleased.
