Boudhi,

This is one of the most ignorant articles on homosexuality that I have read since this gay thing started in Cameroon. What exactly is the point you're tryying to make here?

With regards to these persistent claims that homosexuality is non-African (just like christianity and Islam, I must add), I would advise you to go to amazon.com to buy a copy of "Boy-Wives and Female Husbands: Studies of African Homosexualities". (New York: St. Martins Press, 1998).

There is an article in the book which was originally written in 1911 titledd "homosexuality amongst the negroes of Cameroon". Homosexuality is as old as mother Africa!!
*****************************************
Book Description
Claims concerning the presence and status of homosexuality in historic African cultures have become central points of contention in debates among contemporary African Americans. Some of those involved in the debate have even asserted that the original languages of Africa contained no words for gay or lesbian, therefore concluding that they did not exist. As the first work of its kind on the subject, Boy-Wives and Female-Husbands answers an urgent need for accurate, well-researched, and balanced work on African sexuality. It offers perspectives from the fields of anthropology and history, along with extensive evidence from ethnographic and literary sources. The essays explore such topics as woman-woman marriages, early reports of Malagasy "berdaches," male homosexuality in contemporary West Africa, alternative gender identities among the Swahili, the regulation of sexuality in colonial Zimbabwe, and the portrayals of homosexuality in modern African literature. Bound to be an invaluable resource for discussions of traditional and contemporary African cultures, Boy-Wives and Female-Husbands is a book whose time has clearly come.

Some sexual acts that are "not natural" include masturbation. How many grown up people can truthfully say they have not masturbated? Yet Catholic Church says it is a sin. Old books on sexuality say it will make you blind. Massah Bouddih, have you experienced fellatio? That "not natural" act is a sweet gift from a woman. Villagers like you will consign us to the ovens of hell. I am glad to be in Europe where that dessert is served often. Homosexuality is not my cup of tea, but I say kudos to those who do. Your own rigid morality is shaky because you give a pass to men who betray their wives because you say it is culture? Screw you Bouddih with your antique morals.

Pastor Mola a-lute Bobe

Bouddih,
I have respected your wirite-ups. This one leaves alot to be desired. Your claim that such a practice is in secret does not exonerate the acts from being immoral. I hope your last holiday to the grassfields did not intoxicate your brains with "shah".
I watch the homosexual law allowing the "couple" to adopt children. If they love children, they should indulge in acts of procreation and not demean human life. I am afraid, as you said, the woes of Sodom and Gormorah may befall us.
We expect you to do all, and in the strongest words, to denounce and expose such demoniac practices, otherwise any play with words will only be opening the pandora box for the human race. If the western world devalues human life, should we do the same, because they did? We hope that you follow the evidences and exhibits of the court precedings in Yaounde and be able to bail yourself out.
May God Have Mercy!
Mola a-lute Bobe

CAMEROON IS BECOMING AS SODOM AND GOMORRAH AND THAT IS A NATION GOD DISTROYED WITH HIS ANGER. HOW CAN YOU HAVE A WIFE IN THE HOUSE WHILE YOU ARE ANOTHER MANS WIFE? CAMEROONIANS SHOULD NOT LET GODS ANGER TO CAME ON US BECAUSE EVEN THE INOCENT WILL SUFER.FROM TOP OFFICIALS TO CLEGY MEN TO STUDENTS ARE STREET BOYS EVERY ONE IS A HOMO. WHAT IS BECOMING OF THIS LOVELY NATION? LETS ALL PRAY FOR GODS FORGIVENESS.

Beri

Bouddih, your articles have been excellent but I don’t know what got into you about this homosexual thing. Remember that you are a reporter and you have to be objective in your reports. Leave the criticisms to the readers. You don’t want to be caught in a position of taking sides in your articles. Body, believe me it can destroy your career. Post your articles and leave the rest to your readers to express their opinions. If at any one time you fill like contributing, go down to the comment section.
Thank you.
