Students Deserve Their Graduation
There was a great atmosphere in UB. But I was not happy with the organisation. All the students were grouped in one lot. The authorities of UB should have placed graduands according to their respective faculties, so as to facilitate identification for parents. The timing too was not respected.
People were kept waiting for too long. However, it was a very nice ceremony. It is nice to reward students at the end of the year. I find it very good. The students deserve it.

Graduation Is Obvious
Certainly, I have to be for the graduation. It is practically impossible to think that somebody will undertake his/her courses in UB and not come out as a graduand. It is obvious that the graduation should take place. All of the people who have been part of the occasion are very happy, like myself.

Graduation Comes With Joy
Actually, I was for graduation. I have lived the event and I know the joy that comes with it. I know how students felt when they were told that the graduation was not going to hold. I was happy when I finally learnt that it was going to take place. The graduation ceremony serves as an encouragement to students who are still behind. When they see their peers with robes, they are forced to work harder so as to put on the robes subsequently.

Graduation Is A Tradition In UB
I am for the graduation!! It is a tradition in UB. For me, it is very OK. If the graduation did not hold, I do not know what we would have done. We would have taken it that way.

Students Deserve Their Certificates
A Senate decision of UB suspended the graduation. Another Senate decision lifted the suspension. Based on the decision of the former Vice-Chancellor, Dr/Mrs Dorothy Limunga Njeuma, students went on strike. They were subsequently described as unfit for graduation. To me, I am for graduation since the students deserve their certificates. They should graduate and obtain their certificates.

Graduation Is Anglo-Saxon Tradition
I am happy to have seen students rewarded after three years of hard work. The government has rewarded them. It is exciting to see them happy and I encourage them. For those still to make it, I enjoin them not to give up. They should continue working real hard. I have not had this kind of opportunity because of financial difficulties.
However, I am happy for them. I am for graduation. I like this Anglo-Saxon system of education, whereby students are rewarded in a public ceremony. During the days of the strike actions, I was afraid that the graduation ceremony will not hold. I prayed that the convocation ceremony should hold. I am happy it held and to be part of it. I thank the government for that.
