By Innocent Mbunwe FECAFOOT's disciplinary committee for age cheating and change of identity has banned two National Division I players for two years each. Mvondo Nna Emmanuel Olivier who last season played with Ngaoundere University FC was found guilty of changing his name to be called Mvondo Olivier when he applied to play for Bamboutos Mbouda in the current season.
He also changed his date of birth from 21 November 1980 to 21 November 1989 on his application forms. Essomba William Rene simply became known as Titi Essomba, when he applied to play for Aigle Royal de la Menoua from Foudre Akonolinga this season.
The fraud was discovered thanks to the computerised procedure of issuing licences to players. In addition two players, Tchoupe Ernest and Vascomo Olivier, were suspended for a season each for signing to play for two clubs in the current season.
Tchoupe applied to play for Coton Sport Garoua, meanwhile he still had a running contract with Astres of Douala, for who he also applied to play for this season. Vascomo on his part was found guilty of signing contracts to play for Union Douala and Astres of Douala in the same season.
