An American-based NGO known as International Medical Equipment Collaborative, IMEC, led by its volunteer in charge of Africa, Dr. Susan Crawford, has donated health equipment to some Bui health centres.

Travelling in Bui division between Friday June 16-18, Dr. Crawford also said they were preparing groundwork for heavy medical equipment already on its way to Kumbo from the USA.
On her first lap of the donation tour, Dr. Crawford stopped at Tado village where she gave away beds, telescopes, high blood pressure instruments and other assorted medical equipment. Other recipients were Meluf and Sabongari villages.
The Chief Executive Officer of another US-based NGO known as NASCENT SOLUTIONS, Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wamey, had earlier forwarded the health needs of the Catholic health units to IMEC.
Dr. Mrs. Wamey said her organisation NASCENT SOLUTIONS could not claim to have the solutions to the health needs of all the people. "Our role is to identify the needs of the less privileged in society irrespective of race, colour or tribe and then go out in search of able partners who can come to your aid. We are just a bridge…" said Dr. Wamey.
It would be recalled that NASCENT SOLUTIONS that links the less privileged to IMEC and other NGOs was in Bui Division last year in November and donated food valued FCFA 35 million, which was distributed to children whose parents died of AIDS and other orphans.
