Massa.
It is rough on Muna. he has declared in an interview in the Herald that he is ready to form his own party if he loses. just like the father, he has discovered that he can not split the SDF or achieve his inordinate ambition on an SDF ticket. He has pushed Ngwasiri to a vegetable state and now wants to abandon him.
I hope the fon should be struggling to reconcile ngwasiri and his Mendakwe people and not with the SDF or Fru Ndi. We reconciled with Muna in 2004 only to find ourselves in the current mess.
Let all the fools in this forum who were shouting on roof tops come out now and support Muna as an SDF chairman. The handwriting on the wall was clear but they all failed to read due to chronic myopia.
Muna is a disgrace to his family. Instead of struggling to cleanse his father's evils against Cameroonians in collusion with Ahidjo, the son has instead compounded issues for their family.
A good muna is a Dead one.

Ni John Desperate, Begs for Reconciliation

So who is desperate here? There was time for reconciliation, time when others laughed and sang songs of parise to almighty Ni John, while the mourner warned of doomsday. Now na who di go beg? Weti wona don see? If man want beg, make he beg openly. This matter is now an open public matter.

This story even needs no comment. It says it all.

Well, one more comment: They wanted Ngwasiri's fon to come to their convention to use it for propaganda headlines like "Ngwasiri's fon distances from him, attends Fru Ndi's convention". Wona try next time.

correction: "songs of praise", not "songs of parise"

BenTeribobsFB,
We now see why you can`t successfully put up an argument without resorting to pidgin. This has a lot to do with acute perception deficiency. When the Fon said,"It was his wish to see the two factions reconcile before the 2007 elections",you come out of your hiding place and blindly jump into conclusions about Fru Ndi`s quest for reconciliation.I think the Post should put in place another forum where people will be free to think and lie in pidgin. This forum is an Elitist type of affaire, and not meant for rustics.
This was not Fru Ndi`s first time visiting the Fon.It was a sort of routine call ,as the Fon himself attested.Fru Ndi had visited him when he had a stroke and was coming again to find out more about his present stage. If Fru Ndi were out for reconciliation,he would not be speaking with his head high of Ngwasiri`s inability to sitin during the signing of the papers that led to the creation of the party.
BenteribobsFB,get it clear today from Fru Ndi,that it was thanks to him that Ngwasiri entered parliament, and this because he took up residence in Mr Ndi`s home. His living with Mr Ndi had never been for any strategic reason ,but for Ngwasiri`s self-positioning.Fru Ndi will never mince his words when he wants to blast these adventureres, and that is just what he did when he met the Fon.
The Fon is aware that his 'son' is still a small potato when it comes to politiking, thats why he thinks the crisis in the SDF is helping him to get matured. But we are at a juncture in the political arena in Cameroon where we are looking forward to those who can stand the heat and carry on,not still those who are on internship.
Fru Ndi told the Fon exactly who these two political adventurers ,Muna and Ngwasiri are and you cannot be blunt in this way, and people pretend you are begging for reconciliation.
Benteribobsfb,i think it is better to write in the broken English others like us have been using here,than to transform this forum into a pidgin stronghold.Since you are out for good names to describe who you are,you can add this one to the existing stock of Professional Mourner,Towncrier;
'Hollowman',for you are the hollowman of the century.

OUR MILITANTS ARE NOT SAVED?

There is this sad observation that has been hitting the heads of those who have respect for human blood and souls. It is sad that while we, christians, offer money and material things to church, there are unrepentant leaders who offer but human beings to their secret societies.

We are reliably informed that "special" members of this devilish rosocrucian society each have a month during which they "chop Njangi", and that during this month, each member is expected to "offer" a goat without a tail.

In the month of MAY, the first wife of a certain Cameroonian opposition leader was offered in the province from where Cameroon's father of reunification come from. In MAY 1990, six innocent souls were again offered in a certain town in an Anglophone province during the lauching of the party. In the month of MAY again, the second wife of this same leader was offered in the province where the life of Professor Ngwasiri was to be offered. In the month of MAY again, a certain Makoge F of Buea was also offered to accompany this second wife. More recently, in MAY 2006, a certain Gregoire of Yaounde was forcefully offered.

In short, since 1990 especially, at least one official offering is made.

QUESTIONS

1) Should SDF militants go into hidding during the month of MAY, when our man's turn to eat njangi comes up?

2) If an individual can make it a habit of offering innocent souls when he has not yet attained NATIONAL POWER, then what would happen when he becomes the number one personality of the country? Will the city where our great party was formed be saved? Will militants of "his" party sleep with their eyes closed during the months of MAY?

3) Should we declare the month of MAY "HIS" own month of harvest thanks giving?

Is it a coincidence that these offerings take place in the month of MAY?

Who can help, even with more specific information without calling names at least for now? We need information to complete this important research.

Jesus Christ forbid!

Klemenceau

Sometime ago, a lawyer was murdered in cold blood by a certain infamous chief and his thugs in a town in the South West Province. This was just a case among the many cases of brutal killings and harassments of the people of this town by this chief and his thugs.
This chief from every indication is sacrificing humans’ blood and souls to stay as the ruler. He has many victims and he kills whenever it is his time to "chop njangi". I am sure he must be a member of the "Rosicrucian"
Is it a coincidence that his wife died? Is it a coincidence that he has been maltreating the poor people of this town? It is a coincidence that he uses his thugs to harass innocent citizens and the CPDM government has been watching? Is it a coincidence that his son or relative has hatred for the leader of the leading opposition party in Cameroon?

Shalom

Klemenceau

Watesih

A traditional leader in the Southwest Province has been noted over the years for his jealousy, especially when he feels threatened by intellectuals. It is in this light that he has become one of the most dangerous Warlords in Cameroon. He has put his sons as commanding officers of a death Squard ,and uses the blood of innocent citizens to contribute to sects. That is why at his advanced age,he still thinks cameroon is his farm. All his sons are members of his party ,and occupy the most important posts in his area.
But since God always knows how to floor dictators and their offsprings, one of his sons who is a memeber of the clique that has transformed Cameroonian football into a milking cow was recently treated as a dog. The Minister of Football Mbaraga Mboa invited Iya Mohammed the Fecafoot President ,and wanted to ask him to resign.
With the presence of the son of the factional leader of the Southwest province, the Minister found it a little difficult to discuss with Iya Mohammed,so he was asked to get lost.He rushed out and stood outside like a frightened schoolboy while the Minister battled it out with Iya.
This is just the beginning, nexttime we are not only going to ask them to stand out ,but to account for their thuggery and embezzlement .
They are sworn to destroy the most renowned opposition political leader in Cameroon, because they dread the day of reckoning, but it will subsequently come.Charles Taylor is being served his due,and even if this killer of lawyers were to pass away, one day his bones will be dug up and taken to the Hague to be thrown behind the bars.AS for his children who are dreaming to spread their fathers jealousy, rumour mongering out of the confines of their slaughter house, they should know that all Cameroonians have an eye on them and are ready to go to any extent to cure them of their Narcissism.

Mbu.B

This is a nice step by Fru NDI no matter the time.Seeking reconciliation is always nice, no matter how rough the waters have turned, as against having a position that can never be modified.
The Fon dazzles me with his brilliance, he downplays all the yearnings and cals it "A brilliant intellectual excercise..."
Do we need to read between the lines when he says it will help his son,Ngwasirri become a mature and better politician..I don`t know.

AND UNFAILINGLY WE SHALL HAVE OUR "BEST SPELLING" RESULTS COME FRIDAY!
GOD`S GUIDANCE, TO YOU ALL NETIZENS. KEEP THE GOOD SPIRIT OF DEBATE NOT INSULTS.

mukete

You will prepare food and put it in a clean dish, but these sons of Bafut, Klamenceau and Watesih, will drag it to the naked floor before eating it. They will write volumes upon volumes, even struggling to measure out the way enlightened people write, but you will find nothing good in all they write.

Just see how I have pushed them into tossing from one nonsense to another. When we are talking about a Leader of the opposition, they are bringing up the name of an irrelevant person. When have we ever looked up to Chief Mukete for our salvation? Even in Kumba where he rules, it is our SDF which is in control. The Kumba council is SDF, and Kumba parliamentarian is SDF. Even after a re-run, Chief Mukete's CPDM couldn't take back our seats and victories. Chief Mukete poses no threat to the democratization process in Cameroon and he is not indispensable for Paul Biya.

In short, only those who have something to hide will be pulling this forum into discussing a Chief Mukete who has nothing good to offer to the genuine progress we are all fighting for. If today the Good Lord should descend from Heaven to hold ONE man accountable for the mess we find ourselves today in Cameroon, that person will be president Paul Biya. If on the other hand the Good Lord wants to hold two people responsible for the mess Cameroon and Cameroonians find themselves, those two people will be president Paul Biya (president of the ruling CPDM party) and Ni John Fru Ndi (PRESUMED Opposition Leader). Chief Mukete will not appear among the first ten, even though he is a killer!

And if the Almighty God should drop a BOMB from Heaven to destroy Cameroon, believe me, in air that BOMB will break out into two pieces. One piece will head to the Unity palace to scatter the brainless head of president Paul Biya, while one piece will rush to Ntarikon Palace to scatter the dark and clogged coconut-water head of Ni John Fru Ndi. These two dictators know that they will never enter Heaven nor see God, so they know they are dead people. This is the indispensable facts.

Readers should be bold enough to direct their anger to the true source of the light that makes them mad. Anything different from this is an expression of cawardice.

1) Ni John Fru Ndi thinks only about his stomach and position. Others can die! How can someone be visiting and begging people only when he has his selfish interests to defend? How can Ni John Fru Ndi be visiting the Fon only now after four years of illness? This explains why the Fon took exception to the fact that the Chairman had not come to see him since he (the Fon) returned from the US where he was evacuated when he was critically ill."

This Chairman is a shameless liar!

2) Lord Jesus. Money and life, which one is important for this man? How could Ni John Fru Ndi be pulling a sick patient out of bed just because he would cut a piece of cake with money for his party?

A man who can send his hands inside the mputh of a lion to retrive money, would not mind insulting a sick Fon.

3) Why should Ni John Fru Ndi be selling after the market? Why should he be running after people to beg for help only after the crisis he initiated has attained alarming proportions? Why was he minimizing Professor Ngwasiri and his group? Why did he openly say, "To hell with them. They can not do me anything?"

4) Ni John Fru Ndi has not seen anything yet. Since elections are fast approaching, he wants to apply the same nasty game he applied to Ben Muna. Through the reconciliation meeting, he deceived the public into believing that he has forgiven Ben Muna. After Ben Muna campaigned for him in the elections, he turned around and rejected him again. He has done this to many opponents.

5) But why does Ni John Fru Ndi continue to give more importance to money and power than human life. For more than 4 years that the Fon was sick, Ni John Fru Ndi living next door could not go and tell the man "ashias". And we call him "A man of the people"?

6) Ni John Fru Ndi is the most tribal leader south of the Sahara. Why does he think that only the Fon of Mendankwe (Professor Ngwasiri's village) can reconcile the two of them? Why did he reject an offer of mediation from the Sultan of Founban? So if the Fon was still abroad for treatment, Ni John Fru Ndi would have waited for him while the SDF was on fire?

7) We should not misinterprete something which is clear even for a primary school pupil to understand. From the following statement of the Fon, it is clear that he is praising Professor Ngwasiri for the bold steps he is taking and that Ngwasiri is a matured politician. He is implying that what Professor Ngwasiri is doing is very important for his own personal political development. The statement was POSITIVE vis a vis professor Ngwasiri.

8) If Ni John Fru Ndi thinks that this problem can be settled only between Ngwasiri and himself inside the palace of a Fon, then he is making a very big mistake. The problem he has initiated has attained a broader dimension, and WE, militants must be involved in the settlements.

... and if Professor Ngwasiri dare makes erreur, believe me, WE will hold him responsible. We are watching developments.

mukete

mukete

1)( Those who continue to believe Ni John Fru Ndi deserve to be laughed at.

After sensing that professor Ngwasiri can never be initimated, Ni John Fru Ndi is now trying to flatter. He is only realizing but now that Professor Ngwasiri has been helpful to him.

2) But how can Ni John Fru Ndi be taking us for fools? This is the man who declared over radio Bamenda that he was the one who created the SDF but that intellectuals brought in the idea of founding fathers. How can he be saying now that during that time, he found in Professor Ngwasiri a useful ally and that he even wanted Professor Ngwasiri to head the party. What hypocrasy! From all indications, Ni John Fru Ndi is merely confirming the popular opinion that his role in the creation of the SDF was just the deposition of the application. The parcel was arranged and merely given to him as a messenger while the strong men stood in the background to react when need be.

3) A true demonstration of his spirit of dictatorship. How comes it that it the Chairman of a party who decides who should become parliamentarian? Let Ni John Fru Ndi tell the world how he helped Professor Ngwasiri win a parliamentary seat, and his reason for doing this. Is this not a confirmation that he has been maintaining people in position of responsibility so that they defend his wrong doings? Is this not why he brought in his relative into NAC to vote him as the Chairman of NAC?

4)Should we forget the goodness of people when it comes to tasting power and filling the stomach? How was Ni John Fru Ndi trying to destroy a "friend" who had lived with him inside his residence? Why did he send thugs to eliminate his "friend"?

The time for flattery and sweet talks has passed!

5) I have stated in this same forum that Ni John Fru Ndi left the country at the moment that Professor Ngwasiri was to be eliminated just to tell the world that, "I was out of the country when this happened." This is exactly what he told the security department in Bamenda. Similarly, he is preparing to tell the courts that Gregoire was killed in Yaounde when he was having an important convention in Bamenda in the presence of CPDM Secretary General.

6) After meeting the Fon of Mendankwen, we are expecting him to move to Mbengwi to ask the Fon of Ben Muna's village to do same.

I have stated in this forum that Ni John Fru Ndi is the one to take the initiative for any reconcilation process, but when I stated this, some of his blind supporters wanted to crucify me. What are we seeing now?

Ni John Fru Ndi has failed and it is already too late to expect anything good from him.

I am glad my points are coming out clear, and Ni John Fru Ndi is taking to my advice.

Mukete

mukete

I have stated in this forum that, "WE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE."

I have also repeated that while contributing in this forum, I have my conscience, God and the History of Cameroon as my Judges. Time shall tell.

If Ni John Fru Ndi thinks that the Bamenda cvonvention was the solution to the mess he has instituted in the SDF, then he is making a big mistake. Even if he bribes Professor Ngwasiri into surrendering, WE will not falter in our desire to liberate the SDF from the bondage he has placed us.

We are now at the climax of the problem that Ni John Fru Ndi created in the SDF, and this problem can not be solved between three people. No way.

We expect Ni John Fru Ndi to beg WE the common militants. He should keep aside arrogance and empty pride, and come out humble and clean.

Thank God, Ni John Fru Ndi is now moving around and begging. He has touched bitterleaf and his hands are bitter.

Mukete

mukete

The thing that keeps disturbing me is the fact that, despite this open acceptance of failure by Ni John Fru Ndi, his blind supporters like Klamenceau, Knganjo, Watesih, Akoson, Aaron Nyangkwe and Fon Lawrence will continue to be blind to realities. They would still be singing their worthless praises to a man who is now realizing that he has been wrong all along.

Klamenceau, Knganjo, Watesih, Akoson, Aaron Nyangkwe and Fon Lawrence will twist the above reports just to satisfy their selfish interests. They are now ashamed and they can not believe the steps Ni John Fru Ndi has been forced to take. They can not believe that Ni John Fru Ndi is now running after sick people to ask for mercy, although in his hypocritical manner, he is giving the impression that he was going to sympatize with the Fon.

Let these blind supporters come out of hidding and talk. Even if we are forced into forgiving Ni John Fru Ndi one day for the mess he has instituted in the SDF, destructive people like Klamenceau, Knganjo, Watesih, Akoson, Aaron Nyangkwe and Fon Lawrence will not go unpunished.

Let the other "Muketes". If Klamenceau, Knganjo, Watesih, Akoson, Aaron Nyangkwe and Fon Lawrence can not be bold to write under their names, they shoulkd freely use "mukete" to divert attention. Over to them.

I will be writing.

BenF

mukete

In life arrogance and empty pride will never pay, especially when one is dealing with issues of public importance. I do not think the high level of illiteracy of Ni John Fru Ndi is responsible for his weak leadership skills. Even late president Ahidjo fully understood that as leader, you need to be soft, humble and flexible.

Once when Yaounde University students were on one of the most disturbing strike ever, with the coffin of the then Chancellor circulating in campus and students wanting to bury him alive, late Ahidjo was out of the country. On his return, and been briefed of the dangarous situation in the university campus, he issues a sinle sentence note: "Peace must reign in the University of Yaounde by all means." When the students got this message through a leaflet that was circulated with the signature of Late president Ahidjo, calm immediately returned to the campus. But to demonstrate his leadership skills and maturity, Ahidjo immediately arranged to meet the striking students face-to-face in their very campus. During that historic meeting, he listened to the students the way a father does and immediately gave the students what they were striking for. Everyone left satisfied.

When the SDF started to boil, there were calls coming from all over, asking Ni John Fru Ndi to bring order in the house. Militants complained. Sdf militants in the United Kingdom made a special call. Religious leaders came in, Business people cried and other opposition parties begged. BUT Ni John Fru Ndi, who was already considering himself a demi-god ignored everyone. He instead made a mockery of all the requests that people were making to him. Instead of listening to the people's voices through the media, Ni John Fru Ndi did not only stay away from the press, but he intimidated and brutalized Journalists who mustered courage to approach him for questioning. He insulted almost everyone and gave the impression that the SDF was his personal property. He went into the air to insult and blackmail impoortant SDF officials and even rejected the founding fathers as opportunists who were out to take away his party.

When Professor Ngwasiri pleaded with Ni John Fru Ndi to give ear to what militants are asking for, Ni John Fru Ndi climbed the pulpit to insult and blackmail him. He used all brute methods to intimidate all thopse calling for genuine changes and even physically climbed on their lives. Even at the apex of the problem, when almost everyone was crying for our great SDF, Ni John Fru Ndi raised his tiny fingers into the air to warn that, "They will do me and my party nothing." He employed their old slogans to gain cheap public support: "These are people who have been sponsored by the CPDM government to destroy our baby SDF." Even in the face of mounting evidence that Ni John Fru Ndi is dinning with Biya and the CPDM, Ni John Fru Ndi again raised up his tiny finger to ask his SDF opponents "to go to hell". He even threatened to close down private newspapers that dare question him. He ignored court decisions and told everyone to go to hell.

Even in the face of deaths, Ni John Fru Ndi's only dream was to have him elected as SDF chairman. He used all methods to make the Bamenda convention elect him, and even went as far as disrupting the Yaounde convention that was to take place in peace. After his election as SDF chairman in Bamenda, he is now running around to beg. It is too late and the damage he has done can not be repaired the way he things.

Ni John Fru Ndi is the main problem in the SDF. He is doing everything to maintain Biya in power. It is not today I am saying this.

Mendakwe Fon Pinpoints Mbah Ndam

Peterkins Manyong's source in this story might just have held back some information on what transpired between Ni John and the Mendankwe Fon else he would have told Peterkins that the Fon asked Ni John why he has allowed Mbah Ndam to spoil the SDF.

The Fon asked Ni John why he allowed little Mbah Ndam to get so insolent to the extent having the audacity to speak down at his son (the Fon's village son) Ngwasiri of all. The Fon asked Ni John, "How come you've left everything in the hands of that little boy to decide who does what, who becomes what, who says what in the SDF?"

The Mendakwe fon wondered why Ni John allowed himself to be manipulated by Mbah Ndam to the extent of forgetting that at the beginning of this thing, Ni John was together with Ngwasiri and not Mbah Ndam.

Who knows the answer to the Mendakwe Fon's question? Mbah Ndam don hold Ni John for kori (clé katoz) with Etoudi honey. You understand? Honey. That's how the ant lost its voice in a bottle of sweet ting.

Wonders will never end.inety.nine days for the thief, one day for the owner. The human blood is so powerful that you can never throw it away and go undiscovered. Ni John Fru Ndi will one day tell the world of all the problems and atrocities he has encouraged or sponsored. Time will tell!

I will inform readers of all the details that transpired between Ni John Fru Ndi and the Fon of Mendankwe. The Fon had never been straight and frank before. Even the Nchindas ignored Ni John Fru Ndi and the man left in total shame, after refusing many of the no-nonsense questions asked him.

There is a hidden agenda behind this tricky visit of Ni John Fru Ndi that readers do not understand. I will expose it. So, Fon Lawrence, Klameceau, Knganjo, Watesih, Aaron Nyangkwe and Akoson should be prepared to call it fiction.

Stay tuned.

Watesih

Cameroonians reading what we write on this forum only have their teeth to laugh now, when they discover how demagogy ,slander
shortsightedness can all be forced on them by illinformed ,Narcissitic youngmen. It really gives readers an eerie feeling that the very BenteribobsFB who went into rhapsodies here ,craving on the indulgence of Cardinal Tumi to bring his moral authority to bear on the two SDF warring factions,is the same person today making a mockery of somebody he thinks made overtures of peace.BenteribobsFB had so many doomsdays if the man of God did not intercede, but here is the same apostle of peace reducing himself to a cheerleader and laughing out his lungs when peace and reconciliation are being discussed. When i was categoric here with people like BenteribobsFB that we don`t negotiate with terrorists, people thought i was too hard, but they now see how people who have the blood of a hangsman flowing in their veins will only pay lip service about reconciliation, while fanning anarchy under the cover of darkness.
Politics all has to do with bringing the heat to others. The heat Ngwasiri puts on Fru Ndi is incommensurate to the heat Fru Ndi puts on him, thats more the reason he can`t get out of bed, because Fru Ndi banged all their heads together at the same time.
Muna took off for France,Jua contemplated suicide and went on political exile ,and Ngwasiri needed immediate evacuation, but lacked money, thats why he is shuttling from one mosquito infested hospital to another.
The Fon of Mendankwe is very honest. He accepts the past good deeds Fru Ndi did to him,and blames Fru Ndi for what he did not do.But since he is the custodian of tradition,Fru Ndi still came back to him. This is a sign of humility. When the Fon spoke of reconciliation,Fru Ndi did not kick against it nor did he go headlong for it.He allowed the Fon the allowance to act according to his whims and caprices. The Fon makes it clear here that his 'son' is still an amateur when it comes to politics, and that by bringing about the crisis in the SDF he is learning hard and will soon be matured. But it is not by trying to divide the party that he will become a good politician.
Fru Ndi will never be desperate .He is fully in control of the SDF,so now he can go politiking with Fons and others. The Munas and Ngwasiris are desperate ,thats why they are already contemplating to form their own party. It is only when you are in a fix that you contemplate .Muna is trying to choose which court should be the first to do what, just as he chose to direspect the government and brought about the death of a Cameroonian. He should allow the Law to take its course ,keeping in mind that Fru Ndi is and will always be the number one of all times in the SDF.

TeribobsFB
Yours should be a forum where pidgin is rife, not where you will always wrack your little brains to understand words. When we say our forum is elitist,we mean we are different from the market women in Mokolo and ought to write to educate our people. The lingua franca you pour here is hardly helping out.So get it clear that we are not rustics here, but write for people who can make a meaning out of life.

Akoson

My Dear Friends,

It seems beyond pardon and senselessly incomprehensible to translate the meaning of Fru Ndi's visit to Fon Forngwa to mean a move to instigate reconciliation. Reconciling with who? Terrorists, coup plotters, power mongers, cowards? Tell me gentlemen! Where in that article did Peterskins say Fru Ndi's visit was a reconciliation adventure? Some of you guys are surely dreaming. This article did not score Ngwasiri any point. People suffering from chronic myopic intransigence like Mukete will spring to his feet and write like a mad man who didn't understand the article. This confirms that some of you manage to dare the forum when you naively think that those of your political cabal are scoring points. Ni John Fru Ndi is a man of substance. He can NEVER negotiate with the likes of Muna and Ngwasiri whose aim of causing havoc in the SDF centers about their selfish interests.

Some of you guys notably Mukete should have it into your thick skulls that Fon Forngwa took advantage of Fru Ndi's visit to comment on the SDF saga. Fru Ndi was ONLY paying homage to a sick friend. It would've been terribly disheartening and vaguely dissatisfying should Fru Ndi had deny the proposal of Fon Forngwa. However, it shows that Fru Ndi doesn't have any iota of bad faith. He is a man of good faith who's been suddenly taken aback by the sudden overzealous and selfish interests of his POLITICAL CHILD, NGwasiri. Ni John Fru Ndi is ready for reconciliation IF AND ONLY IF Ngwasiri descends to his knees and confess.

...I'm happy everyone is seeing that Fon Forngwa acknowledges the fact that his "son", Ngwasiri is ONLY LEARNING to become more politically mature and NOTHING esle. This tells us Ngwasiri has NO CASE! He's using an SDF we shed our precious blood for to gain political maturity...he's using an SDF that six innocent souls were killed to play pranks...he's using our SDF for his own selfish agrandisement. He's got his conscience to judge him.

...Again I'm happy everyone is seeing that Fon Forngwa, who thought he'll never see Fru Ndi again face to face before he(Fon Forngwa) dies, was only using that GOLDEN opportunity to BEG and PERSUADE Ni John Fru give and ear to his ONLY POLITICAL son, Ngwasiri so that his political career can once again see light. Fon Forngwa knows that if Fru Ndi forgets about Ngwasiri that will be the end of Ngwasiri's political life and he(Ngwasiri) will be lost forever in the political wilderness.

Mukete and your gang...take note of these things and help your fon beg Fru Ndi but be sure that Ngwasiri must confess OPENLY...that is the lone option he's got!

Does he need to go negotiating for reconcilation? Certainly not. He has just a single thing to do. Quit as sdf chairman and wait for the verdict of your acts during the past 16 years.
Muna, Ngwasiri and the rest just need to be patient and continue to work hard as they have been doing. It wouldn't be long for the majority of Cameroonians to see their potentials and good will.
Will Fru Ndi also visit the fons in Meta for reconcilation attempts with Muna? I am sure everybody knows what he has been.
Some of us remain ignorant and passive. It is the responsibilty of those who are well informed and posses the know how to inform and educate those who are lacking.
I've come to realise that the number of those who contribute in this forum in favour of Fru Ndi has dramatically reduced. This means many have come to knowin this forum what he is up to . I hope we will continue to transmit our good ideas for educative purposes and for the interest of genuine democratic process in our Country. Hope Fru Ndi, Mbah Ndam, Yoyo and their followers will join us on the path that is for the interest of the common man.
It will be absolutely good if members of the Yaounde convention can give the sdf a new name under their control. This should only be after defeating Fru Ndi in court.
God bless all.

There`s nothing you can do.The SDF is in our hands, and the fuss you are making now is out of shame. Now you just end your articles with,'why i mourn'.We know before you mourned for Asonganyi,Ngwasiri,Muna.
Have your tears dried up? There`s nothing to write home about the Muna family that you keep waisting your time on Fru Ndi who overpowered you few weeks ago.If you did not succeed to rundown Fru Ndi during the convention, you think you will do it now when your masters are in the wilderness? You will soon go into another self-exile.

Hey Watesih!,

I've reacted like you before. I've come to a conclusion that the only way to avoid these shameless beasts and he-goats is to ignore the way they try to run away from the ISSUES that are. Just stay cool and let them go to HELL. The've tried in vain to divert attention several times to no avail. They've tried to STILL our SDF to no avail.

You see I still owe Fon so much respect due to the way HE CHASED them away from their hideouts. Fon is surely sitting somewhere and laughing at the madness they're pouring in. You've thrown sugar to ants. The effect's clear! Fon's the best human catalyst on this forum.

I've only one question to them: WHY DO THEY KEEP DISCUSSING FRU NDI WHEN THEY KNOW HE'S NOT STILL SDF CHAIRMAN? Shameless demented CPDM sponsored HE-GOATS!

Mukete,

Nobody beats about the bush here! It is rather unfortunate that you're the one who doesn't know that Ni John Fru Ndi is NOT the least contented with just being the chairman of the SDF. By the way I thought it is Muna who's SDF chairman? I'm glad you're seeing with us that the Munas and the Ngwasiris are just playing drama - using a tactic to win CHEAP populatrity like yourself and the Vallys and later on, form another party. I know such strategies!

Ni John Fru Ndi aspires greatly to become president that's why he still insists that THERE'S NO ONE at the moment capable of fitting nicely into his shoes and point a direct finger into the eyes of a brutal and demented dictator like Biya, witgout any fear of threats, contradiction and or intimidation. If he wouldn't have been eyeing the presidency he would've since resigned and abandoned the child in the claws of power mongers like Muna et al. This guy has the SDF at heart.

I can remember you said sometime ago that Fru Ndi never had the intension to ever become preseident. This is a big fat lie. Since before running for the position of a parliamentarian we could see him about taking a questionaire - asking people what change they'll want should he become president.

This gentleman as brave and courageous as he is has a good blue print in the days ahead. Watch him and give your full support.

Think about this!

FRENCH TWISTED: Don't Help Paris Rape Africa

...go to www.southerncameroonsig.org

THIS spring, I visited French-speaking West Africa. Wherever I went, two things remained consistent: The French government was hated, and Africans looked to Washington for a square deal.

President Jacques Chirac and his racist minions know it, and they don't like it, and they're trying to do something about it: Sucker America into showing "solidarity with an ally in the War on Terror." The French want our military and diplomatic cooperation - but not our economic presence, of course. Let me translate what the parasites of Paris really mean: "Support our brutality and exploitation of West Africa, stiff-arm tens of millions of Africans yearning to be free of French neo-imperialism - and just maybe we clever Frenchmen will toss you stupid Americans a little bone now and then."

And we're in danger of falling for it.

In the half-century since France thrust a phony independence on colonies such as Ivory Coast, Senegal and Mali, the French government and French business interests have looted everything they possibly could. To Paris, African "independence" meant business as usual, except that Paris would no longer accept any responsibility for the welfare of the local populations.

It was a free ride for the Frogs, guaranteed by a French military that had failed everywhere else, but remained sufficiently competent to bully unarmed Africans. One French government after another supported pro-Paris strongmen, from the relatively benign Houphouet-Boigny of Ivory Coast, who merely bankrupted his country with nutty construction projects, to Jean Bedell-Bokassa, a literal cannibal who frequently played host to then-President Valery Giscard-D'Estaing.

But the winds of freedom have been blowing, often in unexpected places. The era of African "Big Men" is over, even if a few linger on. And Africans want real freedom this time, not French colonization in disguise.

In Ivory Coast, the French utterly mismanaged a 2002 rebellion they thought they could manipulate. Their efforts at playing the factions off against each other exploded, shattering a country that had been a source of pride and great profit to Paris. Muslim or Christian, northerner or southerner, the one commonality I found among the people of Ivory Coast was that they all now hate the French.

Even in Senegal, the country that has had the most benign relationship with France, the people are tired of French bullying and condescension. Throughout the region, animosity toward Paris - especially the ham-handed government of Jacques Chirac - has reached a tipping point past which legitimate anger threatens to turn into irrational fury.

In Abidjan, in Ivory Coast, I even found myself in the unusual position of defending the French, arguing that nobody could be as omnipresent and cagey as my local friend believed French agents to be.

We hear a great deal about global anti-Americanism, but, as this column has noted, much of it is superficial or concentrated among the usual suspects, while a tremendous reservoir of goodwill toward us is still overflowing in much of the world. Even those who reflexively complain about American power long for a green card.

In West Africa, everyone has a friend or relative, or the friend of a relative, in one of New York's boroughs or in Chicago. Their vision of America is of hardworking immigrants building prosperous lives impossible elsewhere. The American dream is alive and well - in Dakar or Abidjan.

In contrast, West Africans know that their relatives imprisoned in the suburban slums of Paris or Lyon have no hope of getting ahead, but suffer relentless discrimination.

As a result, street-level Africans consistently express tremendous good will toward Americans (although they're mystified by African-American heritage tourists who complain about their lot - Africans would gladly swap places). Either George Bush or Bill Clinton could win an election by a landslide in any West African country I visited.

Meanwhile, the French know they're in trouble. They know that their African victims are sick and tired of being robbed and treated as inferiors. They want the French out of their economies, out of their elections and out of their countries.

The French response is to offer "cooperation" with the United States. Implying none too subtly that "white powers should stick together, after all," they misread the times and they wildly misread America. For our part, we can only lose prestige, influence and goodwill by being associated with the French in West Africa.

But that's the point, as far as Paris is concerned: The Chirac government wants to present a united Western front to Africans yearning for real freedom, to show them that Washington isn't an alternative because America's on France's side.

This duplicity is especially dangerous, given that many French-speaking African countries have majority-Muslim populations - Muslims who are not anti-American. On the contrary, they practice tolerant, local forms of Islam and resent Wahhabi extremist efforts to "purify" their religion.

Islam is deathly sick in its Middle Eastern heartland, but it's vibrant and healthy on its frontiers, from Jakarta through Dakar to Detroit. The struggle for the future of Islam is cruel and discouraging in the Middle East, but elsewhere the good guys are winning.

By accepting the proffered French embrace in Africa, we risk needlessly alienating tens of millions of Muslims who are our natural allies in the war against Arab fanaticism.

Certainly, we should cooperate with France when it's genuinely in our interests. But, in West Africa, the cooperation Paris wants is a sham that would benefit only French neo-colonialists, while doing America's image and cause great harm.

If we really believe in freedom and democracy, we should stand up for the striving people of Africa, not for the crumpled imperialists on the Seine.

Bakassi Students Invade Cameroon Consulate
06.29.2006

Students of Bakassi origin in different institutions of higher learning yesterday invaded the Cameroon Consulate in Calabar, and pulled down the country’s national flag in protest against federal government’s decision to relocate them.
The students, numbering over 100, had assembled at the secretariat of the National Association of Cross River State students (NACRISS) worldwide, at 1,Park Lane, State Housing, Calabar, around 8a.m., with placards to demonstrate against what they described as inhuman decision by the Federal Government.
President of Bakassi Students, Comrade Emmanuel Asuquo, accused the Federal Government of being insensitive to the plights of the Bakassi people, alleging that President Olusegun Obasanjo’s decision to relocate them was to facilitate his (Obasanjo) quest to get Noble Peace Award.
Asuquo said a clear evidence of Obasanjo’s insensitivity was the choice of persons who represented the country at the International Court of Justice at the Hague, Netherland, that ceded the oil rich Peninsular to the Republic of Cameroun.
According to him, none of those that argued the matter at the World Court was an indigene of the area, hence they did not leave any knowledge of the history of the oil rich island.
Besides, Asuquo said those who masqueraded as indigenes of Bakassi at the national level, especially at the Senate, were neither from Bakassi nor Cross River State, while the traditional stool of Bakassi Local Government was occupied by someone from the neighbouring council area.
The protesters carried placards with inscriptions such as: “UN, be ready to relocate corpses or yourselves; the third term failed, proposal for handing over will fail,” “Obasanjo, Duke and their cohorts should go to hell, we are not relocating; we should defend our ancestral home with our last blood; Bakassi Peninsula; we say no to relocation, Bakassi is not for sale,” among others.
At the Cameroun Consulate at 21, Ndidem Usang Iso Road, the students held the staff hostage, while trying to untie the rope to bring down the flag.
Sensing danger of police re-inforcement, the students hurriedly left the premises and later went into hiding.
When contacted, the Consul General of the Cameroun Consulate, Mr Joseph Foe Atangane, said he was not going to react to the development.
He said there was an agreement that he should not talk to the press and directed reporters who had come to confirm the story to either go to the state government or the Federal Government for clarifications.
According to him, “on the 15th of June, I and Governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke took a decision not to talk to anybody on that issue, because it is human beings that are involved.
“It was agreed that we shall react after seven years (when Cameroun must have taken sovereignty of the area ), because what we are concerned about is the human beings. If you want any information, go to the Governor, Abuja or Lagos,” Atangana said.
The Federal Government had penultimate week, given order that Nigerian Security personnel should be withdrawn from Bakassi within 60 days, in obedience to the October 10, 2002, judgement of the ICJ, which ceded the disputed area to Cameroun.
Meanwhile, over 30 armed mobile policemen have been drafted to the premises of the Consulate, to ensure peace and order.

Assistant Commissioner of Police at the CID Section of the state Police Command, Alhaji Abdulsalam, assured the Consul-General of the safety of the people.

CPDM Barons Angry With Biya

[ Bamenda - Cameroun ] ( 28/06/2006) Chris Mbunwe

Several senior militants of the CPDM party of the Northwest at a joint conference of the Mezam Section over the weekend at the Bamenda Congress Hall, lashed out at President Paul Biya for not appointing them into lucrative ministerial positions in the last cabinet shake-up.

As their mouthpiece, the Section President of CPDM Mezam III, Alexander Boma, said Biya had neglected the Northwest Province and consequently, the Province has not started receiving the fallouts from the HIPC Funds.
Boma said the Northwest would not receive as much benefit in projects because there is no full fledged Minister from the Northwest in Biya's current cabinet.According to him, there is no Northwesterner at the centre of decision-making, "because we longer have a prime minister or key ministers who can defend our interest."

Hear him again; " Northwesterners have received this news of reaching the completion point with mixed feelings and heavy hearts. This is because we do not have any "big brother" again on top the tree, as such, other divisions and provinces have begun benefiting from the fallouts, and here we are in the Northwest still dreaming and hoping."
A Disappointed Fon Angwafor

Apart from expressing disappointment at Biya for sideling the Northwest in ministerial appointments, Fon SAN Angwafor of Mankon, who doubles as the CPDM 1st National Vice President, also expressed indignation at what he termed deceitful attitudes of Northwest CPDM militants.

"I am still to make anything out of these lofty speeches you people have been making at occasions such as the one of today. This is because some of you are seen during the day dressed in CPDM uniforms and at night you are SDF.

When will you ever change? "Where are the fruits of the promises we have heard in lofty speeches year in, year out from you people in this same hall? So, I am right to say that I will take your promises with a pinch of salt," Fon Angwafor fumed.

He called on top party officials to weed out militants who pretend to sympathise with the CPDM party but during elections they give their votes to "those rascals who burnt my house in 1990."

Azong Wara Campaigns

One-time Registrar of the Cameroon GCE Board, TAC President, SCNC Secretary General, SDF scribe and, today, CPDM resource person, Andrew Azong Wara, pleaded with the CPDM to be the 'fisher of militants for the CPDM party.'

Presenting what he dubbed the GCE of CPDM politics, Azong Wara said the letter G stands for God, C for Conviction, and E for Energy, to win more militants from the SDF party.

He said his conviction and commitment, coupled with energy would help the party not to look elsewhere for help.He said in politics it is advisable not to stand on one foot because "you must be able to quit when the party or the movement does not satisfy your aspirations."

He was quick to allay CPDM fears, saying he would not quit the party soon as some people think, "because I decided in 2004 to join this great party so as to develop Cameroon, not to grab a job."

To those who were not convinced with his 'GCE politics' Azong told them; "I have been into all these circles, SCNC, and the SDF, and I know who they are and what they stand for."

Azong commented that Biya's diplomatic victory over the Bakassi Peninsula was "a serious blow to the SCNC because there will be nothing for them to hang on deceiving our people."

"Santa Mafia" Buried

As an elderly statesman, former Prime Minister, Hon. Simon Achidi Achu, said because all the four sections that make up Mezam decided to chart a new course, the derogatory appellation tagged on those of them from Upper Gemba tribe as "Santa Mafia" should cease to exist.

He said with the wrangling rocking the SDF, the CPDM should take advantage and win the hearts of more militants to win upcoming elections. Achidi Achu regretted that for 16 years the SDF has not been able to deliver the goods.

"We gave power to the wrong people 16 years ago. Don't make such a mistake next time as we go to elections," he said.Other speakers like former Transport Minister John B. Nde , Abel Ndeh, Henry Ntumgia and Regina Mundi, were optimistic that they would win senatorial, parliamentary and municipal elections next year.

Collective Despair

Hear them: "Massa, wona cam make we cry noh. Wona wan leave dis cry for me one. No bi we all dey togeda for Ni John e side? I beg wona cam make we cry."

That's what they are saying in their lamentation comments these days. And you can see their sporadic comments are dripping with tears - their scripts are tear-soaked. Their comments have suddenly become sporadic after swell weeks of spirited noise-making. Their numbers are reducing everyday.

Wosai dem dey. Wona cam! Wona wan leave dis palava for Akoson he one? Wona no know say Akoson di prepare he LSE PhD for China? Wona cam helep he!

When they come back from their crying retreat, dem di move you some broke-and-join grammar here weh even dictionary no fit helep you understand. For show say dem know book. ELITE FORUMITES. Grassroot elite.

Some of the loudest ones have gone on early retirement. Just to mention a couple of them: Washow, Rexon, Samleyin... Disappeared! Rexon confused himself between SDF and SCNC and has given up. Tayong is just resting, he'll be back. Others like Klemenceau are preparing to bounce back with a bang. We are waiting for the big day.

Samleyin is in Bamenda and knows the truth of what’s happening on the ground. Atangha is at the National Assembly and knows the sword of Damocles is dangling menacingly. They are not making noise. Loud mouths are there living in a fool’s paradise in Europe and China, distant from reality. Their only consolation is ignorance.

Others are changing names, ashamed of their own names, conscious they have sufficiently discredited their original pseudonyms. But we know them. By their fruits you shall, of course, know them. Fon abandoned Lawrence but remained as confused. He'll be back one of these days to say he was busy doing ...

These days their usual nightmares have multiplied. They wake up at midnight, creep out of their holes, peep at their computer monitors, they see fire on the mountain, they throw in a few incoherent comments and crawl back to their chamber of despair - for their crying retreat - their hearts full of grief. They invite each other to share their sorrows. Soon they will travel from China, Denmark (Copenhagen) and wherever and converge on Ntarikon for the final cry-die.

They are begging us to leave their COMMERCIAL ACTIVISTS alone. Did we send Ni John to go beg for reconciliation? Did we ask Mbah Ndam to apologise in Parliament? If they put themselves in the news, we comment.

You can tell how desperate they are by the way they try to impersonate those giving them sleepless nights. And how dull they are, they can't even make their impersonation convincing.

Dull group. And dem wan rule Cameroon.

Akoson,
Never be worried when it comes to me.TeribobsFBben is just one among a group of lunatics who took on me here and soon discovered the futility of their act.You can name them, Micheal,Nke Fossung ,Momo,
Ngwasiri chris,Eyan,Mukete and many other
songbirds. You know people like Nke Fossung cannot write anything about Cameroon unless if somebody castigates Assonganyi.Nke will shout out his lungs that he is not from Lebialem ,but he will be dying comparing Asonganyi with the parents of contributors here. This one called TeribobsFBben is even worst because he has the airs of a rustic, selling used clothes at Mokolo market. He has finally accepted that his pidgin makes him blind to even look up words in a dictionary. He has now come back to earth and is writing about people on this forum instead of mourning for all sorts of terrorists. How can mourning eyes filled with tears see? When he failed here woefully to achieve his desired goal of splitting the SDF,he went into hiding. The aftermath of the situation Muna caused in Yaounde was very explosive, but he was no way to be found.People like Samleyin,Washow
Fon Lawrence,Atangha,Klemenceau,Nyankwe,
Kgnanjo,Akoson,Enow,Sammy told the world what was going on.Now when they are savouring their victory for having crushed the forces of darkness and kept the SDF intact,a little lone voice comes out of hiding and starts jumping around like an overcharged electron.
He doesn`t even comeback to tell us the virtues of Muna ,whose family he seems to be one of the crumbs eaters,he comes back and is still excited about Fru Ndi.It is really good to have charisma like Fru Ndi,because even hollow professional praisesingers would find themselves completely taken in by your deeds. He has told us how people are jealouse of Muna Minister,Muna Pope,Muna Queen Elizabeth, but
has completely failed to outline the how these super beings have given Nyen Mbo a
facelift.Till the end of time people will fondly remember Fru Ndi for standing up to Biya and launching the SDF,what will they remember Muna for? For stealing the SDF letter head? For impersonating as Fru Ndi the only leader of the SDF? For resigning from the SDF and coming back? For disrespecting the government and bringing about the death of a Cameroonian?

It is a shame that hatred, self interest and the zeal to blackmail has rendered some of you and the chief fiction writer in this forum blind to the truth.
BenB now sees more than the journalist or reporter of the Postnewsline. BenB knows the untold events that took place in the Fon's house. In fact he has joined Fru Ndi's inner circle. Hahahahaha, Keep on mourning my brother. Watesih, Fon Lawrence, Atangha, Nyankwe, Kgnanjo, Akoson, Enow, Sammy and others told you from the onset that you were fighting a lost battle but you couldn't listen. Those who wanted to listen were flattered by the fiction Mukete has been posting here. It is unfortunate but it is always not too late for sincere people who were deceived by some evil “geniuses” to come back to their senses and accept the truth.
BenB why do you worry about Fru Ndi when you know Ben Muna is the SDF chairman? You guys should concentrate with your "authentic SDF" with Ben Muna as its Chairman. He will surely do to it "authentic SDF" what he could not do or he left undone in Arusha, Tanzania.

Klamenceau, Fon Lawrence, Aaron Nyangkwe, Knganjo, Akoson, Watesih and their gang of confusioniasts have exhausted all means to kill the light and truth I bring. After failing in their attempts to distort my facts, they are now trying an outdated method. This time, they want to present me as someone who is against the graffi people. They now want to link me to the UNfortunate South West/North West divide.

I have stated again and again that my satellite is focused on the hierarchy of the SDF and its poor leaedership skills. That explains why I write only when I am 100% sure of the facts I present. I am not boasting when I state that ALL what I have been saying here is coming to light.

My position in this forum is no secret, and so those trying to give a different" area of specialization to my write up by falsing using my name are making a very big mistake. For more than a year now, the originality of my write up is known, and everyone knows when I write. I think my distractors find it extremely hard to write the way I do.

One thing is clear: All these nasty games will not prevent me from stating my case as they are.

I was expecting these Blind Ni John Fru Ndi's supporters to come out and criticize Asong Wara for crossing carpet. Why are they now silent?

From all indications, readers are observing that Ni John Fru Ndi is now forced to consider the path I have been proposing here. Ni John Fru Ndi himself has made it clear that Professor Ngwasiri and Ben Muna are giving him headache and sleepless nights. Why was he minimizing them before? How could a stack illiterate be minimizing the abilities of a well known Lawyer and Judge? Why was Ni John Fru Ndi taking his Pidgin-English pulling crowd as a sign of his strength?

Ni John Fru Ndi is trying to isolate Ben Muna (another SDF Chairman) by trying to pull Professor Ngwasiri into his rank. Ni John Fru Ndi thought that by eliminating Professor Ngwasiri, the NAC faction of the SDF will be silenced. He thought that Professor Ngwasiri was his only obstacle. Ni John Fru Ndi was elected NAC chairman; he dismissed Professor Ngwasiri from the SDF, and arranged for his physicall elimination. When his Taliban militia failed to kill Professor Ngwasiri in Yaounde, they killed Gregoire. Ni John Fru Ndi was taken aback to see that despite the fact that Professor Ngwasiri was pushed into hospital just before the Yaounde convention, the convention still registered a resounding success under the leadership of Ben Muna.

Ni John Fru Ndi is playing a card that will never work. By pretending to seek reconcilation with Professor Ngwasiri, this semi-illiterate is looking for an opportunity into forcing the courts to ask the different SDF factions to go and settle their problems in a family way.

Had Ni John Fru Ndi exhausted all means of reconcilation before dragging Professor Ngwasiri's group to court? Does he think Professor Ngwasiri is an illiterate to take his pretentious act seriously. Professor Ngwasiri knows Ni John Fru Ndi too well. If he wants to make Ni John Fru Ndi leave this country he will do it. The illiterate Ni John Fru Ndi was dealing with Professor Ngwasiri without recalling the man's expertise.

The day Professor Ngwasiri will team up against Ben Muna, moon and sun will clash!

I am not for any “reconciliation” between Fru Ndi and Ngwasiri. Unless they’re talking about reconciliation so that Ngwasiri can go back “transporting PWD players in his car” or go back living with Fru Ndi in his Ntarikon residence. That’s their personal business.

If Ngwasiri wants to come back to the SDF, he should do what is required for a former SDF member to be rehabilitated into the party. Others have done it before. He (Ngwasiri) should make sure he reads the constitution between the lines and avoid fanning confusion and hatred in the party. The SDF is not about Ngwasiri and Fru Ndi, they might be influential personalities in the party but it is first of all a political party with grass root supporters not something personal between the two of them.

Ngwasiri is no longer member of the SDF and I see three options for him at this point:
- Form his own party or join other opposition parties like UPC,UFDC
- Officially join the CPDM
- Or just do what is required for him to be rehabilitated into the SDF

Maybe this story will please those who are happy with just anything in the name of SDF as long as Ni John is leader of a faction even if it's confined to Ntarikon.

SDF : Riddled With Internecine Wranglings

(Cameroon Tribune, June 29, 2006)

Highlight: Many frontline militants have been bouted out for daring to express views that rattle the supreme powers of its founding chieftain. University dons, lawyers and many of that ilk, who may have given up everything in favour of the party, have somewhere down the road been thrown out. Siga Asanga, Asonganyi, Ngwasiri, Ben Muna, and many others have stories to tell about the internal regulatory mechanism of the SDF. The creation of a "second" SDF party with Ben Muna as President is a direct consequence of the re-enforcement of powers and attributes of its founding chieftain.

By Emanuel TATAW

Of all the political parties created in Cameroon since the advent of democracy in the early nineties, none has witnessed a bloody and chequered record as the Social Democratic Front, (SDF).

Begotten by revolt and consistently nourished by civil insubordination, the SDF has successfully carved out a niche for itself with specificities, methods and particularities not known anywhere in the national expanse.

At inception in Bamenda, the party acquired an image of defiance in a context and period of political quakes in neighbouring countries.

The SDF was launched on a public highway in a provincial capital and its leaders got away with it, in spite of its illegality.

Wrangles

When political pluralism was eventually legalized, the SDF that had earlier hit the ground running, raised a lot of expectations, and to many grassroot supporters, it was poised to give "power to the people".

As the years rolled by, the image of the SDF took a bashing, violence, bloody disagreements appeared to be glued to its reverie and breath of view. Intrigues, schemings and schisms became the party's stock in trade and gradually but surely, the frontier of the party has been narrowing by the day.

One year to the next municipal and parliamentary elections, the SDF is becoming a party reduced to one province and riddled with internecine wranglings, cleavages and intolerance.

Only the SDF, we are told, transforms a diction of violence into practical expression when it comes to managing disagreements. In their peculiar methods of conflict resolution when confronted with differing views, expulsions, violence, and dastard mutilations of opponents, appear to be the norm.

Last month, the public witnessed a ghoulish spectacle enacted by hired thugs from fortified bases that saw eyes literally plucked off, while many others were maimed in internal party wranglings.

The UPC, UNDP, LDP and many other political formations have been rattled by ruptures, but no blood has ever been shed and no one killed. Only the SDF, we are told, settles political scores through "reprehensive acts which tarnish the image of our democracy".

In its management of "power", the hierarchy of the SDF has throughout the years given credence to the aphorism of Sophocles Antigone. "But hard it is", Sophocles said, "to learn the mind of any mortal, or the heart, till he be tried in chief authority."

Many frontline militants have been bouted out for daring to express views that rattle the supreme powers of its founding chieftain.

Dwindling

Ahead of 2007, the Social Democratic Front is obviously in divided rows. In its first electoral contest, the SDF reaped about forty two Parliamentarians in 1997.

Five years later, in the 2002 elections, the numbers took a nose dive, slashed into two with a paltry twenty two or so Parliamentarians. In the municipal elections, the difference between the two electoral dates is obvious.

The party that initially had adherents in a few provinces has today seen dwindling returns, with frontiers narrowed to its founding fief.

With the CPDM making spectacular inroads into that divided fief, future electoral result sheets may further reflect the Social Democratic Front's slide into the nadir of the political limelight.

The market place of conflicting ideas, inextricably linked to our national character does not appear to find expression in the SDF where violence and blood letting have ineluctably split the formation into two with the attendant consequences expected in the upcoming elec toral exercise.

It may be too early to toll this party's political obituary but it is evident that it may eventually narrow down to a divisional formation. The party's outmoded methods of conflict resolution remain its Achilles heel.

Fru Ndi has now come to realisation that only with his closest colaborators like Ngwasiri and Ben Muna can he succeed in his political career. We see this from his public testimonies and confessions of having a headache and sleepless nights since he 'mistakingly' dismissed them.I think he made his greatest blunder in his life when he deliberately transformed the SDF into a political rebellion after having betrayed his henchmen like Ngwasiri a 'Founding Father' and a host of others. Therefore causing a shock-wave among the militants and sympathisers, dismantling the intergrity of SDF today after 16 years of its political limelight.

With this notion of division and discrepancies,if this Fon of Mendankwe, Forngwa Forsuh 11 can bring harmony and resolve this saga amicably, which has maimed the party of its national credibility, then it will be a landmark move, not only the two parties at loggerheads, but to the SDF success nation-wide.

I guess, only with this transposition can the SDF become a party to reckon with, after confrontations amongst its heirachy and allegations of corruptions and blackmail has wrecked the party and counterbalanced the party's prime motive of political supremacy in in toppling the LRC dominated regime.Remarkable progress can be achieved as we look forward for them to withdraw their prosecutions pending judgement at various judicial bodies in the Country. It will be ridiculing seeing them standing infront of supreme powers of LRC court houses, than settling the dispute amicably. If not then Fru Ndi must undergo some pshychiatric test for the headache he is suffering from Ngwasiri and Muna.A fire he set up and wants to quench when it's too late.
