If the idea of the university in Tali I,is the effort of Manyu indigens abroad, then good and fine. But if the idea of the unversity is to serve national interest, then Manyu is a wrong choice

Vally Bessong

This is a great initiative which merits commendment. Please let the iniators focus more on the technical and entrepreneurial professions like, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, Information Technology and Business studies because these are the professions that we are in great need in Cameroon today.

Let the initators also set up a website where progress of the project could be viewed and so will attract contributions (both Financial, Materially, and why not also suggestions) that will enable this University be a great success story.

The initiators should be rest assured that, their initiative will yield more than they ever imagined because there are so many Cameroonians abroad who are ready to contribute to make this project a success.

I personally I'm avaialble to provide my own contribution to make this project a success. The iniators could always contact me through my email address here.

Vally Bessong

Fon,

Why do some people like you always find ways to bring disorder and secterianism in any possible iniative which comes up. What are your justifications that Manyu is a wrong place to set up this University? Sometimes it's better to stay quiet than commenting on every article if the intension is to bring in disorder.

Nothing personal against you though. Have a nice time my dear friend.

Fon

Vally Besong,
I think you completely misunderstood me.I appreciated the efforts of the iniatiators of this project and I don´t mixed words;I still repeat if there are Manyu brains behind the initiation of this project, then they have done an excellent job towards the development of thier area;an example worth emulation by others. But if it is a national issue and Manyu was favoured, there are other areas that are more qualified to start off the university on a more successful level.
This is an objective point of view.I don´t have anything against Manyu and will be the last person to preach tribalism.
Bessong,hope u have understood me.

Kinetics - M I T

Fon,
So where is the place you have in mind that could have been ideal for the University?
I donot really know what is wrong with you. You had better concentrate on your Physics in Germany than trying to write something, even in areas that you donot know. If Manyu Division, with all the brains and academic excellence that indigenes of this single division have shown and achieved through out the years, is not the right place for a University initiated by Indegenes, then you better show us a piece of Land in your village where we can transfer the Project to. This is pure jealousy.
Take note, this is not a CPDM or SDF thing. These are the Indegenes Lobbying Colleagues, governments and institutions abroad for Funding and Expertise to create and run a university that recognises the need of Cameroon and Local people. Why did the Northwesterners who initiated and started the University of Bamenda not take it to Bangem, considering the proximity of Bamenda to Dschang that already has an University.
Donot expose your naivity and stupidity here.
Continue your SDF Intifada. Afterall, that is the only way you can show Loyalty to Fru Ndi and the SDF for supplying Dorkies during you Asylum Claim. Donot forget that, the German government can withdraw it at anytime if they are fed proper and true information about you.
So learn to know where you put your feet. Bozo!

Vally Bessong

Fon,

I asked you to give me your justifications and reasons why Manyu is a wrong place and you can't provide any, only for you to come back and say, "there are other areas that are more qualified to start off the university on a more successful level." What is your criteria for more qualified? I don't think we are on the same footing to have a discussion on such an important issue. Go your way and I won't respond to you again, it's a waste of precious time.

Ted, Baltimore

Mr Fon,
I am not from Manyu, but I think you are been very tribalistic.I cannot understand how as an Anglophone you would even make such comments. I think your comments only serve to increase the divide between Southern Cameroonians. Honestly, people like you Mr. Fon, with all due respect should not speak or voice out such poisonous and unrealistic ideas. I have lived in both Southwest and Northwest provinces and attended school as well, in both locations. To the best of my knowledge the brightest I have seen, have always been from that area. So please shut ur mouth and stop poisoning peoples minds.

Ngu Pius

Fon,
I wonder your reasoning. Most prominent universities were open in rural areas, before urbanisation took place in their vicinities. Where are you from? Do you just like debating for the sake of it? I think Manyu can act as a good environment for a university because it is further way from the distractions of urban lifestyle, which students are often attracted to. I think your blind support for the SDF dictatorship is affecting your reasoning faculty. As a former commentator commented this is no SDF/CPDM stuff, it is education which will help enhance growth and development of Cameroon as a whole.

Fon

Kinetics - M I T and others,
From your reactions,you feel threatened that I am against Manyu and decided to go wild and completely out of controll;
To show that my comment was not bias and intended to hurt particular feelings,I withdraw it.

university is tali, ah ah ha ha aahahh

'maybe you guys should put that university instead in my village (kembong)
which is 100 times developed than tali.
my question is when you put your schoolin the village, A, HOW IS IT THAT STUDENTS
WILL BE SUFFERING ON THAT KIMBA-MAMFE ROAD
IN RAINING SEASON TO ATTEND>
B, PRIORITY WISE, WHAT WOULD THE GRADUATES
BE WORKING ? SINCE THERE NO EMPLOYMENTS NOR
FACTORIES AND CITIES IN SOUTHERN CAMEROONS?

THE, FIRST STEP WOULD HAVE BEEN
A. TO CREAT A MAMFE-CALABAR TAX FREE
TRADE ZONE. AND TO REBUILD THE MAMFE WHARF. SOO THAT BADGES CAN BRINGIN MACHINERY AND PLANT EQUIPMENTS FROM THE PORT OF CALABAR TO MAMFE, WHEN THE PEOPLE BY THESE EQUIPMENT FROM USA AND CHINA.
B. PUT AN ASPHALT PLANT AND CEMENT PLANT RIGHT IN MAMFE.. TOBE USED IN TARRING AND BUILDING ULTRA MODERN ROADS AND HIGHWAYS.
C DRAW A GRAND MASTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN
TO MODERNIZED MAMFE INTO A WORLD CLASS
CITY. OBVIOUSLY ,YOU WONT HAVE THESE AGENTS OF THE FOREST CALLED LA REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN, ANY WHERE NEAR BY .
CAUSE, THEIR PRESENCE IN SINPLY POISONOUS AND UN GODLY.
E BUILD AND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN MAMAFE OF KUMBA, WHERE PEOPLE WOULD BOARD A FLIGHT TOUSA OR CHINA AND EUROPE
WITHOUT HAVEN TO GO TO ANOTHER COUNTRY CALLED LA REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN.
F. BUILD A RAILROAD LINKING VICTORIA TO KUMBA ,MAMFE NAD BAMENDA.
F CUT OFF THE RAIL LINE THAT LINK KUMBA TO MBANGA, AND THE ROAD T BAFOUSSAM FROM BAMENDA. THEN BUILD WORLD CLASS HIGHWAYS ALL ACROSS THE NATION OF AMBAZONIA.

ALL MAYORS OF MAMFE, VICTORIA, KUMBA, TIKO . BUEA. ETC MUST BE INDEGENEOUS PEOPLE NAD MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE ONLY TO THE LOCAL PEOPLE NOT TO YAOUNDE.
ALL DELEGATES DRIVEN AWAY. ALL FOREIGN GOVERNORS DRIVEN.
SONEL ELECTRICITY ,REPLACES BY SOUTHERN CAMEROONS POWER AUTHORITY, SAME WITH WATER
AND PHONE , RADIO, TV AND EDUCATIONAL. POLICE, MILITARY AND NAVY.
ALSO NO USING OF THAT CURRENCY CALLED FRANCES, BUT OUR OWN CURRENCY, ALL TOWNS AND CITIESMUST HAVE THEIR OWN FLAGS AND HISTORICAL DEPICTS,
NOT FORGETING OUR OUR LAWS SYSYTEM.
THE REAL ANGLOSAXON WAY.

REMEMBER , WHEN BUILD A NATION, A MAN
MUST THINK FOR THAT NATION, LIKE THE KIND OF BEAUTIFUL,STRONG, ADVANCED, UPLIFTED
YET GOD FEARING NATION, A NATION, THATS LIKE THE ONE HE WOULD LOVE TO SEE TOMMORROW, 10, YRS, 50 YRS, 500,YRS 5000 YRS
TOMMORROW, WHEN HE COMES BACK TO EARTH AFTER
HIS DEATH.

A University in Tali, what a splendid idea.

Few years back, there was a Manyu World Conference in Mamfe and top on the Agenda was the construction of the Kumba-mamfe road. We are still waiting for that. Will this so called university be a "seasonal" one?

I believe, the Manyu people coming together can do greater things even more than building a university or constructing a road only, if there are less words and more actions.

This should not be another "big talk"!

With the continual neglect and non-charlatan attitude of the Manyu politicians and the government in general, is high time for the sons and daughters of Manyu to put their words in action. We can't sit back and continue to listen to lies and false promises from one election to the other. Just 10 dollars every month from Manyu people in the Diaspora can sustain a loan where the construction of the Kumba-Mamfe road will be a reality within a very short period. This will only work through good coordination and involving honest people.

While lauding the effort of the initiators of this University project, I do think the road project should be a priority since we can't have a functioning university without proper accessibility.

Count on my support on any project

Long live true sons/daugters of Manyu.

DONGA TUMA,
wake up from you dream........ the dreaming has become overbearing.

Mbu.B

A university in TALI I!! this is the best echo I am getting since this month started.

We can only pray this materializes.I already forsee it serving as the gateway for many other developmental projects.
For now,I lift my hat for the initiators.

Vally

Fon Lawrence,

Remember the essence of education!to develop ones mind and thinking ability. You must have developed your thinking in one of those university in Germany, forget not that it might have been created 100 years ago in a village which is today a town.

Tali, like bamenda that now houses the bamenda university,if supported can as well sustain a university.Saying that Tali does not meet the criteria then suddenly withdrawing your views only goes to exposed some of the sad views others in cameroon usually label we of the NW as being dogmantic.

We should also appreciate development even if it is not coming to our Province, afterall some of our children might end up studying there. The mind and the brain must think positively all the time,if you allow your mind to push your brain foolishly you are in trouble. It ends up exposing your shallowness.

what qualification doest a person need
to be called a governor in bamenda or buea?

what qualification will victoria natives
need to collect taxes from all forign business on their land?
what kind qualifications, does all southern
cameroonians need to control only their own primary, secondary and college educational and jurisprudence system for a better living standard and pride as in else where in the world?
the only qualification is

KNOW THY SELVES, AND KNOW FREEDOM.
FOR FREEDOM IS GIVEN BY GOD ,NOT A GOVT OR MAN.

MAMFE PEOPLE LIKE ALL COLONISED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD MUST FOCUSE ON ALIGNING ALL FORCES TOWARD ACHIEVIND JUST THAT.
ANY OTHER BAND AID THINKING WONT BRING A
BETTER LIFE FOR THEM, BE IT IN TALI OR KEMBONG OR SANTA OR MUNDEMBA.
CHARITY BEGINS WHERE? AT HOME
AND ONLY NATIVES SONS ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO
RULE THEIR TOWNS NOT FOREIGNERS LIKE EYAYA
LOUIS, KOUMPSAA ISSA, AND MBONDA THOMAS.
ALL, HOLDING BACK THE HANDS OF THE NATIVES
WITH THEIR SPIES AGENTS CALLED DELEGATES
NOT TO DEVELOP THEIR TOWNS,
BY ACHIEVING UNDERDEVELOPMENT, ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHERN CAMEROONS, THEY,THE FRANCAMEROUN REGIME AIM IS TO FEEL (SUPERIOR) THAN ALL .
THATS THE ,HEART OF THE PROBLEM ,ALL ELSE IS JUST CHIPS.
FOR IF THE REGIME LEADERS WHO ARE NOT REPRESENTING ANY BODY BUT THEIR SELVES,
HAD LOVE FOR MANKIND, THEN THEY WOULD REALIZE, THAT ,THE BUILDING OF UNIVERSITIES AND AIRPORTS AND SEAPORTS AND HIGHWAYS, IN VICTORIA,MAMFE, BAMENDA,KUMBA, OUGHTA BE THE RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE NATIVES AND NOT THE REGIME.
THUS THEIR PRIDE.

We are sick and tired of these political campaigns when elections are drwawing new. Most party militants are made to go en masse to the ballots boxes for this 'fat lies' that the CPDM puppets fabricate every electoral year.Very soon thy tell us Bamenda University now it's Mamfe and Kumba. They have much time to fool the people but when the revolution will be launched they will confirm the evolution.Since I was young they told me of a University to be created in Bamenda but till date the Buea has been built but not the Bamenda.Yet those CPDM henchmen in the NorthWest uses this as a propagansa parole every year....shame unto them......

mimi

Fon,
you have a very small mind. what do you mean by manyu is not qualified if the university is to serve national interest. What qualification does manyu need to host a university in Tali and what do you understand by " to serve national interst". I think you should take some english classes with kinder garden children where ever you are for three years so that you can improve on your understanding and use of english words.
Do you mean if the idea of a university in Tali was conceived by manyu elites abroad it will not serve national interest?
I don't know you in person but from your write up i think you are a mere "bush faller"
Think before you write, this is my advise for you.

Watesih

By withdrawing his statement about the University shows humility, and the fact that he thinks it was an overstatement. But if we want to make it a song now,we will forget to savour the joy that comes with the creation of such a venture.Give the man a break! We have often made wrong statements
here and shown our remorse after. But as Fritzane says,we are at the verge of an election year.We have seen caterpillars
before ready to bring the best roads to Manyu ,only for the wait to be become eternal.

Kinetics

Watesih,
You guys are so obesed with this sterile SDF/CPDM politics, not to see anything fruitful in more robust and sustainable projects. This Uni Project has got nothing to do with your idle lives and sorry state in Cameroon. We are talking here if Noble Cameroonians in the Diaspora looking for ways to contribute meaningfully in their country. We donot need any of your SDF/CPDM Money to make the project a success.
You can continue with your Politics wahala. Leave the Uni business to experts.
It is not every topic that is worth commenting. Fon has expose his naivity and state of mind here. The Uni is going to serve as a catalyst for sustainable development in the area.
There is enough issues for you guys to get cracking on. Spare us this pessimistic view about election propaganda.
We have gone past that stage.
Kinetics

Fon

Mimi,
Can you correct what you think was incorrect use of English in what I wrote?

Before you talk about English language, find out the difference between advice (noun) and advise (verb). This is a basic thing that you don´t know, yet you open your mouth to advise me to go for English lessons.
Next time, write that "this is my advice to you".

Only a mature person will see meaning in what I meant by the statement that I withdraw my comment.Anybody who went further to react negatively after that statement has not been cultured?

Teribobs

Kinetics,
Never mind Watesih and Fon (CDF bootlickers) they will say anything to suit the whims and caprices or their idols. Well the latter came back to his senses and apologized. At times he tries to be a gentleman.

Mamfe Pikin

Enow from Denmark,

Thank you very much for pointing out that "Few years back, there was a Manyu World Conference in Mamfe and top on the Agenda was the construction of the Kumba-Mamfe road. We are still waiting for that. Will this so called university be a "seasonal" one?" I want to thank President Joe MBU for the fantastic job he did.

My personal friend was the General Reporteur at that Conference and he can still provide you with some copies of the said conference report.

I believe all these promises are because elections are fast approaching. Just like ATP promise tarring the Mamfe-Kumba Road during electoral campaigns but never did and when he was confronted by Etta Japan a mechanic in Mamfe, he asked his then bodyguard (Kennedy) to shot an kill Etta in Batchou. Kennedy fired shorts into the air instead and today he (Kennedy) is the Gendarmerie commander in Tiko while ATP is no more minister. Thank God he never did because the Batchou people would’ve roasted Minister ATP and his entourage alive. Note should be taken here that Batchou is the only village in Manyu Division where a man had ever been killed by firing squad.

Why are Manyu people talking about the construction of the University of Tali 1 and not the medical equipments sent by Manyu sons and daughters residing in the US some years ago but got disappeared as soon the shipment got to Douala under the custody of some very prominent sons. Thieves

There will be NO University. When it will not materialize, some will start talking of the construction of the Polytechnic of Akriba, or Ntotokonock, Eshobi and even Kendem. Shame to US all.

Though very literate, we're a most disunited bunch.'The Manyu-man is the Manyu-mans problem'

NjifenztB.D.(U.K)

This is a germmick! Think roads before university. This is definately bad publicity for Manyu people.Terribly misguided priority.
The initiators of this whole project must hold back and rethink the entire initiative.

cameroon4eva

I find it very Interesting that we would bicker here about English. A foreign language.
I also find it Amusing that some people cannot comprehend the wisdom which a man shows when he adjusts his weapon to aim better.
However what i find SAD is that nine (9) months later, none of the contributors to this BB have cared to find out how the project went.
Does anyone get my point?

Fritzane Kiki HK

Nothing good can come out from the French. They can use the whites, they can use other NGO's in their favor to campaign and convince the international community that there is a free and fair society going on...But they cannot change the destiny. This is a year later yet we are still dreaming in isolation of the day that we can have a passable road from Kumba to Mamfe.A year when they promised to construct a university in Mamfe town.
