The Wimbum culture is increasingly being seen as a potential tourist attraction in the nation's capital, Yaounde.
This observation was recently echoed by the President of the Wimbum Cultural and Development Association, WICUDA, Yaounde Branch, Dr. Maurice Tamfu Ndikontar.
He said the activities of the association in Yaounde constitute a whole gamut of tourism attraction to dwellers and foreigners living in the city.
Tamfu made this declaration as he was addressing his kith and kin as well as invited personalities at the WICUDA Cultural and Touristic Centre in the Oyo-Mabang neighbourhood in Yaounde, at a gala that portrayed all facets of the Wimbum culture.
He said the Wimbum culture is unique, progressive and not repugnant to social norms as he presented the Cultural and Touristic Centre which is made up of a palace, the nfuh house, a cultural hall, an open yard for cultural displays and the museum under construction.
The WICUDA President took the opportunity to caution detractors of the Wimbum culture who think and present the rich culture of the area as bad.
