The lone Division I Club west of the Mungo, Mt. Cameroon FC of Buea, suffered its first defeat of the season on Sunday, March 4, when they bowed to Foudre of Akonolinga 1-3.
The Lava Boys, who started the season on a good note, wobbled in Days II and III before stooping on Day IV.The Club's President General, Calvin Foinding, has thrown in the towel as a result of poor attitude of players.
In his resignation letter of February 25, he castigated the players' actions over contract signing that caused them to revolt.
Mt. Cameroon that recently put in place an executive, taking into recognition regional balance, is planning for a congress on a date yet to be announced. They are meandering at the 12th position of the league table.
In another development, Serge Abed of Ngouandéré University Football Club is leading the goal-scoring chart with 3 goals after the fourth day of play.After the fourth playing day, 34 matches have been played and 19 victories and 15 ties recorded with 59 goals scored. 107 yellow cards and 4 red have been distributed.
