The National Executive Committee, NEC, of the SDF party meeting at the weekend in Ntarikon, Bamenda, resolved to slam the dreaded Article 8.2 on five mayors who were recently elected by their councillors.
The mayors were dismissed for disrespecting directives from the National Investiture Committee of the SDF. The sacked mayors are Jones Mangoh Tanko of Nkambe Council, Stephen Tikanjoh from Babessi in Ngoketunjia Division, David Nfor Kamgong from Ndu Council and Cyril Ngnang and Happi Missack all from Bafoussam I.
In a press briefing on Sunday morning, the Communication Officer of the SDF, Beatrice Anembom Munjo, said the crime of the mayors is that they had applied as any other candidates and after screening their files, the party found them wanting.
They were identified with ills like embezzlement, lack of experience, insubordination, corruption, non-commitment to the party, levity and so on. The Investiture Committee rejected their files but they reportedly went and bribed councillors who voted for them.
"In fact, the party hierarchy spent several days pleading with these mayors who ignored the decision from the Investiture Committee, to reconsider or rethink their decisions in vain. Even up to Saturday, August 11, at NEC meeting, they were given room to resign from the posts of mayors in which they were controversially elected,
but they proved stubborn and the party appointed a ten-man team that studied their cases and at the end of several hours of deliberations, the party discovered that by refusing to toe party lines they had excluded themselves from the party and the party text provides Article 8.2 for such people," Anembom remarked.
She said four of the five mayors who were present at NEC walked out of the hall in tears. She said the dismissed mayors willingly, not under duress or pressure, walked up to the disciplinary committee, signed and collected copies of their dismissal slips which were later handed to a bailiff whose services have been hired to serve the administration of the local councils concerned as well as judicial authorities on Monday, August 13, as early as 8 a.m.
"This will alert the administrators who had earlier organised such elections to know that wayward mayors have been sacked and for the local authorities to give room for fresh elections of the mayors to take place," said Anembom.
According to her, no SDO will in the days ahead proceed to install these mayors who have been summarily dismissed after the party has respected these legal procedures. The SDF National Chairman, John Fru Ndi, who chaired the NEC meeting, is reported to have ignited a heated debate when he said NEC should decide whether the elected Parliamentarians should take up seats at the opening session of the National Assembly, which is largely dominated by the ruling CPDM party.
Those who were defeated were against this suggestion and those who won were for it. The issue was only laid to rest when the party refereed to the resolutions of 2002 Convention when they resolved that even with two seats the SDF should not boycott Parliament because of its international image and the plans of CPDM to stifle the party.
Re-run
Out of the five constituencies where the Supreme Court cancelled the legislative elections and ordered for a re-run, NEC, resolved to take part in four constituencies - Littoral, Mungo South, Upper Nkam and Far North. The SDF Communication boss said the party is mapping out new strategies to fight fraud.
"We are going to win 14 seats in the re-run. Nobody will reveal the
strategies we are putting in place because the committee is already
working round the clock to ensure our victory.
Fru Ndi, is said to have castigated party bigwigs for not demonstrating
any fighting spirit especially in areas where most of the SDF NEC
members stood watching fraud being perpetrated by Divisional Officers
and CPDM Central Committee members.
He blamed the party's mediocre performance on in-house fighting, lack of vigilance and the susceptible and gullible nature of SDF commission members at polling stations who allegedly received bribe and gave a blind eye to CPDM election riggers.
He, however, congratulated those mayors and parliamentarians who won the twin elections.
Before the curtains closed, it was announced that the SDF National
Chairman will be holding a press conference in Douala on Thursday,
August 16.The next NEC meeting will take place September 8, in Bamenda.
MINATD Backs Dismissed Mayors
Meanwhile, Jones Mangoh Tanko, Stephen Tikanjoh and David Karngong Nfor, of Nkambe, Babessi and Ndu Councils, respectively, declared dismissed by the SDF National Executive Council, NEC, are determined to stay on with the support of their supervisory authorities.
A two-page release issued by Godlive Mboke Ntua, Donga-Mantung SDO, who
is the Supervisory Authority over Nkambe and Ndu Councils, seems to
buttress this claim.
The release, dated August 9, 2007, a copy of which The Post has,
complains about "some unorthodox and unwarranted machinations which
have been taking place in Nkambe and Ndu" since the elections of the
mayors of those municipalities since July 31.
The SDO's release proceeds to quote relevant texts pertaining to the election of mayors and their deputies. Since the elections of the mayors of these municipalities, the SDO no appeal for cancellation has been received by the bodies empowered to do so as by law.
"Instead, some individuals have been holding meetings here and there under the guise of respecting party discipline," the SDO complains. In reaction to the meetings, the SDO notes that a re-run of the election for mayorship can only be ordered by the judiciary following a successful appeal for cancellation within the procedure laid down by the law.
The SDO advises the authorities of the SDF that if they really intend to reverse the elections of Nkambe and Ndu mayors, they should use the legal means available, instead of using "some arm-twisting means which undermines the law.
Five SDF Militants Detained
At the NEC meeting, it was also reported that five SDF militants are languishing in jail for having beaten the DO of Bamkim in the Adamawa Province. The story is told that the DO tried to protect ambulant voters during the July 22 polls and the militants decided to burn the ballot boxes they had seized from ambulant voters.
The local administration ordered for the arrest of 12 SDF militants and after police interrogation, five were accused of electoral offences punishable by law. The first court hearing for the detainees has been slated for September 12 in Bamkim.
The SDF still thinks it can take people for fools and idiots, what the hell does power to the people mean? Put simply giving people the right to make their own decisions and to elect who they want to lead them. The Mayors in question were freely elected by the councillors , it is insulting to the Cameroon people, it makes nonsense of the basic tenets of democracy and change the SDF claims to be fighting for when the party hierachy which has turned out to be a veritable mafia seeks to impose its own choices on the people.
The leadership of the SDF is by this lending credence to the decision of the MINAT and the Supreme cort to give victory to Biya instead of Fru Ndi who won the elections, the decision makes nonsense of all cries against fraud. Is this the kind of leadership that Mr Fru Ndi and co want to offer for Cameroonians?Sad indeed, so the lives of Evaristus Toje, Juliet Sikod others matyrs of May 26 1990 went in vain, so Gregoire Diboule was sacrificed for nothing, so John Kohtem killed by Fon Doh wasted his precious blood so we see this kind of leadership? So the lives of people like Dr Tchwenko who spared no efforts in the struggle was for this kind of bizarre leadership? And what about the strong allegations by Hon Kwemo that the Chairman received millions from Kadji Defosso so he auctions the seat of Upper Nkam to the CPDM? That Fru Ndi and his henchmen are not in power is a sign that the Almighty Father thinks Cameroon deserves better after successive dictatorships, that Fru Ndi never got power may be a Blessing in disguise for Cameroon.May God continue to use more signs to open the eyes of the people and may the blood of all the matyrs continue to haunt those who take delight in using the masses as bargaining chips

Are my naive or could someone here educate me on Cameroon politics, precisely SDF politics? How does an elected individual get "sacked?" These are not political appointees, they are elected and should be answereable to their constituencies. If they are corrupt, you bring them before a court of law. And this is the party running its mouth as championing the cause of democracy in Cameroon?
May God help you guys.

Sack elected officials? That is down the same murky alley as Government Delegates appointed to hover over elected officials. Disciplining people within a political party, yes but firing from an elected office? What planet are they on.

They wont bother to fire people who are mainly interested in colouring an inexistant democracy like NJFN with their article 8.2, but they will fire he who stands against NJFN's antics. These people are really in business to colour their inexistant democracy of Mr Biya. The earlier we disown them, the better.

I support the decision of NEC to sack the mayors who have admittedly gone against party rules and ethics in displaying the same ills that the Ruling CPDM has been decried over the years for. The sacked Mayor have been accused of Buying votes, embezzlement, fraud, insubordination and corruption. It will be hypocritical for SDF to let such corrupt practices go unpunished. SDF needs to set the standards and practice what they preach. If you think you can use council tax money to buy votes so as to stay in office, then you might want to consider joining the CPDM because thats the only way you can get away with that. SDF must continue to instill strict ethics and discipline within its ranks, otherwise the party will be seen as a CPDM copycat.
Just my opinion..

Fru should not worry Albert Mukong has not started reacting yet. This is just an intro to the real fall.
But will he be wise? Will he see the writing?
God knows.
But the Southern Cameroons restoration train keeps moving all the same.

7512 Wilson,
Nobody is saying the "sacked" politicians have not done anything wrong. In the set up of the democratic political machinery, a party has no right bestowed on it my any legal statute to fire some one who has been elected by their constituencies to represent them. You can challenge the outcome of the elections in a court of law, but you can not prevent that individual from taking his seat in the body so elected to be the voice of his people. The SDF can only do so if its mayors are appointed. The NEC is a disciplinary organ of the party, but its powers do not go beyond internal issues affecting the party. If the party did not deem them good enough for the party, their candidatures should have been declared null and void prior to the elections and that decision made public. The so call buying of votes is rubbish. What does the SDF do with the campaign money it gets from the government? Isn't it used to buy traditional rullers to go influence their people to vote SDF. What do you call that?
Posted by: Che Sunday | Monday, 13 August 2007 at 07:53 PM
It is known beyond reasonable doubt that these people are in business to colour that fake democracy. I repeat, the sooner we disown them, the better.

This is a joke a very big joke. I don`t know about La Republique, but the office of mayor belongs to the people (represented by their councillors) not a political party.
You can dismiss a person for not following party rules but he or she will still hold that office until dully dismissed by the courts or through a vote of the councillors.
Welcome to "democracy made in La Republique Du Cameroun."
"The Investiture Committee rejected their files but they reportedly went and bribed councillors who voted for them."
What about the councillor who are alleged to received the bribed? Are there innocent?
"The issue was only laid to rest when the party refereed to the resolutions of 2002 Convention when they resolved that even with two seats the SDF should not boycott Parliament because of its international image and the plans of CPDM to stifle the party."
It is always about the party. What about making a decision for the common good of the people. Do the people really matter in your eyes?

The SDF keeps making mistake after mistake. I think it's time for them to change strategy under new leadership. Fru Ndi is old and his mind is old. They need a young, vibrant, and wise leader who will take the party forward. SDF has been going downhill and they need new leadership to change the course. Cheers!!!

Independence paper to be unveiled
Mr Salmond will set out his plans in the Scottish capital
Scotland's SNP government is to set out plans for a referendum on independence, despite opposition from other main political parties.
Ministers said Scots had the right to choose their future, but Labour, the Tories and the Liberal Democrats said it was unwanted and a waste of money.
First Minister Alex Salmond will reveal the plans when he publishes a white paper in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
It aims to spark a "national conversation" on Scotland's future.
In a broad, 40-page document, Mr Salmond is to set out the case for a ballot on independence, while remaining open-minded on alternative opinions.
We are putting our views forward as a government, but we are also embarking on a conversation to let the people of Scotland speak
Alex Salmond
First Minister
The move will come a day after Labour, the Tories and the Lib Dems joined forces to claim the plan would damage Scotland by creating division and uncertainty.
But, knowing the move lacks support at Holyrood where the SNP is in minority power, Mr Salmond will also canvass options including more powers for the Scottish Parliament.
All the other parties aside from the Greens, who have two MSPs, are opposed to independence - but said they were willing to review devolution.
The Nationalists have said that means the ground was shifting in their direction.
Looking forward
Prior to the paper being made public, Mr Salmond told BBC Scotland that it was a "very exciting day".
He said: "We are embarking on a national conversation for the people of Scotland looking at a range of options for Scotland's constitutional future.
"It's very exciting because even the other parties are having to react and say yes, there has to be some form of change.
"So, I think what we have learned so far, even before the national conversation has been launched, is that no change is no longer an option - things are going to get better, something is going to be done."
Mr Salmond added: "We are putting our views forward as a government, but we are also embarking on a conversation to let the people of Scotland speak."

I don't seem to understand why you guys are arguing. Are you poeple saying that b/c these guys were elected that they do nolonger have to secumb to the authories of their party? have you guys forgotten that it was under the banner of the party that they were elected? To me, they must toil the party line and if at any time found by the party to be corrupt and irresponsible must be replace immediately. We of the sdf are for justice and justice must all time prevail. I support the decision of NEC. If you guys are saying that b/c they were elected and can not be stop by the party from carrying their functions, then there is no need calling on the sdf to boycott parliament b/c those parliamenterians are also elected by their subjects to respresent them. No need for boycott.

Boycotting parliament can be a party decision, but it is still subject to the free will of delegates. Hence, it is a leadership matter to rally members.
On the other hand, an elected official is no longer a simple subject of the party, but the people's choice and may not be removed from office by party fiat. May be dismissed from the party or other party discipline, but challenge of the people's decision has to be by judicial process or some other process that is above and outside party.
Having said that, I know that la republique is not a normal, functioning country and the judicial process is a copy of the corrupt supremen court. In a normal country, such as we intend the resurgent British Cameroons, the SDF's action would not stand if challenged in court.
Posted by: Ma Mary | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 07:58 AM
The actions of the SDF referred to here are an egregious abuse of democracy. These Mayors were rightfully and democratically elected yet the party has opted to parachute in its own particular favorites. In the eyes of the international community the SDF will now be seen to be as corrupt as the CPDM. It has not just shot itself in the foot the SDF has lost all credibility on the international stage. How sad for Cameroon. How sad for Anglophone aspirations.
Posted by: Aka Ndula | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 09:05 AM
I still nod my head in amusement at the level of political amateurism found in some contributions here. Amateurism because contributors are apparently opining that the SDF should condone with injustice and corrupt practices for the sake of doubtful procedures.
In reacting to this blog, we must have two things in mind. First, no where in the world would a true political party substitute its ethical and moral obligation towards its electorate to the antics of political manoeuvres masterminded by its opponent. In some cases, parties prefer not to run local government than to man someone who runs tantamount to its aspirations. In the UK, the Labour party preferred to loose the prestigious council of London than to have Ken Livingstone as mayor in 2000. Tony Blair backed Frank Dobson and because Ken Livingstone would not yield to internal party discipline and recommendations, he was dismissed from the party on the 4th of April 2000 after being a member for more than 31 years. So the use of disciplinary measures after due process in the SDF in nothing new in serious political institutions.
Secondly, some clamour that the SDF should seek justice through the Cameroon judiciary. I had to chuckle when I read this because the SDF has many sad experiences following this route. Cases brought before the Cameroon judiciary as far back as 1999 of SDF mayors the party would no longer identify with because of corrupt practices have been tampered with, in some cases, the files are still languishing in court rooms, that is 5 years after the mandate. This plays to the tune of the CPDM because it discourages the electorate when they see that SDF mayors also champion corrupt practices and go unperturbed. The consequence would be elevated voter apathy and loss of interest in the political class, which further affect the image of the SDF. So in such a situation, leadership is needed swiftly. The accused are given the chance to defend themselves and to apply for an appeal. That is how civilized institutions function and that is how the SDF intends to change Cameroon.
One of the reasons the CPDM reinforces its fraud strategies each time is because of this rigid discipline and internal jurisprudence the SDF has succumbed itself to. They feel that once the SDF is in position to audit the system, then Cameroon’s prisons might be too small to contain all the culprits. But we know, you can only delay change but you can NEVER stop it.
Posted by: Feli | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 09:48 AM
At the polls on July 22nd, whom was the population voting for? The party or the individuals on the list? What was the subject of the campaign? The party's policy or individual policies? And does Cameroon constitution accept independent candidates?
I sincerely believe that trying to use the platform of a political party for personal aggrandizements is tantamount to using the will of the people as toilette tissue. Think about it.
Posted by: Shalom | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 10:17 AM
Mr. Feli,
It is sad to see how shallow your comments above could be. Sir, the office of the Mayor belongs to the people. A political party is a vehicle used to get to that office. When a party win`s an election, it does not OWN that office. It cannot replace that person except you are talking about a DICTATORSHIP.
Sometimes blind support for the SDF can render one to lost sight of proper reasoning.
You can dismiss a person from a party but they will still hold their elected office. In which part of the world do you draw your inspiration. This action by your party is a SHAMEFUL display of naivety or hypocrisy.
You want to talk about Mayors, Michael Bloomberg, a republican mayor of New York resigned from his party and become an unaffiliated person. The republican party has no right to demand that he be replaced as a mayor.
Sir, there is difference between state institutions and political parties. The problem is that in La Republique Du Cameroun you have been made to understand that political parties own state institutions. This is outright wrong.
When you come out to support such a move by your party, it just makes the case that your party, the SDF, is made of up of a majority of Blind Followers who will defend everything. By any standard, this is a very shameful and undemocratic decision.

"They were identified with ills like embezzlement, lack of experience, insubordination, corruption, non-commitment to the party, levity and so on."
Inexperience is not a crime, the others are serious allegations if proven. This is an internal matter for the SDF to handle. when people voted on the 22nd, they were not voting for mayors as well.
As I understand it, thanks to the post, the councillors in a constituency won by the SDF, would elect their mayor from within their ranks. As it now appears this system is very open to abuse.
A personal opinion? This is a matter for the SDF to handle.
Posted by: Danny Boy | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 12:37 PM
I also nod my head in amusement. Ken Livingstone was elected to the position of Mayor of London in 2000, having been expelled from the Labour party for running as an independent candidate. He was readmitted to the Labour party in 2004, shortly before re-election as Mayor. Tony Blair made a serious error in sidelining him. Blair has gone and Livingstone remains Mayor of London.

the SDF has once again shown that it is the only political party in Cameroon. This is so because every association or organisation has a memorandum of association or internal rules binding its members. These rules come before individual aspirations. So when five individuals go against the rules and regulations binding their own party, what can be expected of them when serving their towns when not all individuals therein are members of their party.
Most importantly,NEC acts as the supervisory commission of the SDF and all members of this party are expected to respect the decisions thereof failure of which is non respect of party rules. So their dimissal is legal.

Fellow comrades,
Did u hear that the Santa Cpdm candidate congratulated his SDf counterpart after the defeat? He understands that the Sdf per se is not different from the cpdm as far our motherland is concerned. That congratulation is a message to SDF that she should not boycott the parliament. It is saying that SDF dont boycott the parliament, you are doing a great job please stay and let us continue to fill our bellies. And the SDf has happily replied that yes she will stay. That is the SDf.
Comrade Rexon and I were fully right to have expected Ni Fru to send a motion of congratulation to Biya. The supreme court has done so for by granting victory to cpdm and by according some seats to the sdf as the main opposition party. The supreme court knows that the sdf wants to stay. When the election will be rerun,a few seats will again be accorded to the Sdf so that she gets the 15 or more seats that she needs to form a group in the parliament. She will take it and form a group of hand clappers, who stay there to continue to give good credence to the democracy of the inexistent democracy state of la republique .Shame on you the SDF.
Peace Upon the land of the Southern cameroons.

When you discipline one person, it is a different thing but when you make article 8:2 a weapon against people with whom you share ideological differences or those that are in the way of so call party leaders, it makes nonsense of discipline. The case of sacked Mayors had nothing t do with discipline at all.In Nkambe, Mangoh Jones who was dully elected is not in the good books of Awudu Mbaya Cyprian who has been in the thick and thin of the mafia at the helm of the SDF and in the National Assembly. In Bafoussam, Maitre Tsapy a Fru Ndi loyalist was badly flawed.Just why will Fru Ndi and his clique want to force a candidate down the throats of people? Party discipline does not mean consciences should be forgotten, it doesn't mean merit should be thrown to the wind, it doesn't mean we should forfeit equal opportunity chanted with pomposity by militants every day "power to the people and equal opportunity" is what SDF adepts shout at rallies and meetings.
The sacking of four elected Mayors only reminds us there is something fundamentally wrong, the turn out at rallies has dwindled, parliamentary representation is down, councils down, international respect down, more and more cadres leaving, we cannot attribute the poor showing in successive elections to fraud, the party must be honest enough to admit iuts short comings, to have a very sober reflection and whether we like it or not the leadership has failed .YES IT IS THE LEADERSHIP THAT HAS FAILED AND NOT THE SDF. A leadership that has become self centred, a leadership that takes the aspirations of the people for granted, a leadership lacking in vision ,the sacking of the Mayors only goes to show the recklessness and tacklessness of a leadership that has out lived its usefulness. A leadership that will take money from a cadre of the ruling party to frustrate the ambitions of a party faithful who has different views with the Chairman is not worth the salt. The lessons are important now as we brace up for more important show downs in the future.
Posted by: Tumasang Nwana Paul | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 03:29 PM
Fru Ndi during his press conference at Yaounde Hilton hotel, August 2, argued that if the SDF had boycotted the elections, government would have come up with a cosmetic thing and the SDF blamed for being intransigent by boycotting the elections. He further averred that the SDF took part in the elections to show the world that nothing has changed in the organisation of elections in the country.
Some of us bought the points at advanced by the party to back their partipation in an election they knew in advance has been rigged. If really the party´s decision to take part in the elections depended solely on reason advanced during the press conference, the party´s task would have ended at the level of elections and not more. Accepting, to go to parliament, what do they want to prove to the world again or what do they intend to achieve in parliament?
If this decision is solely to keep the party afloat, NEC should better accept ministerial positions, where they can employ more party adherence to work in ministries headed by the party.
I see it as absolute nonsense for the party to back her irrational decision to go to parliament base on resolutions of 2002 Convention. The party should take decisions base on changing times, for the interest of the party and the country.
Posted by: Fon | Tuesday, 14 August 2007 at 05:19 PM
Mr Fon, we share the same thought. Going to the parliament is something that will keep on worrying me as a true follower of the party. Reacting to what Ma Mary and Mr Nje said above, I believe they got it all wrong and i stand by the decision of NEC to sack the corrupt mayors. Justice must all time prevail. Parliamenterians were elected as individuals under their parties why councillors were elected under their party and after election, the council lists that won the elections, the councillors on the list will have to elect their mayors and this mayors remaind answerable to to the higher organ of the party which for the sdf is NEC. If any mayor at any time found corrupt or nolonger toiling the party line, will have to be replace. No mayor when in as independence candidate but under a political party. The action of the NEC is legal.

The problem with Cameroonians is that they continue to ignore the fact that "prevention is better than cure". They always want the problem or illness to be put in place before they start looking for cure. They fail to understand that it takes less energy, less time and fewer resources to prevent than it takes to cure. It is not today that Cameroonians have been warned of the dangers that Ni John Fru Ndi and his gang of exploiters pose to the SDF in particular and to Cameroon as a whole. This writer, Mukete, has been pouring light on this issue for years now. Thank God, some of his blind supporters are now making an attempt to open their eyes.
No one doubts the fact that Ni John Fru Ndi did actually received money to auction the SDF in the western province. He also tried to auction Kumba II, which is an SDF stronghold to the CPDM. SDF militants in this locality fought hard to dismantle the plan. Ni John Fru Ndi would prefer to auction all the other nine provinces just to gain the North West province. This tactic of his is a ploy to sustain Biya`s insistance that the SDF is a North West party. This explains why he wanted SDF Kumba II to go to the CPDM in exchange for SDF in Balikumbat.
The alliance between Ndam Njoya and Ekindi in the littoral province has confirmed that Ni John Fru Ndi is the person actually preventing other Cameroonians from chasing Biya out of the presidency. If Ndam Njoya were as selfish as Ni John Fru Ndi is, he would have simply instructed Ekindi to rally his small party behind the SDF. Ni John Fru Ndi continues to fail to understand that in politics, especially at very crucial moments, the interest of the country and the larger population is put infront - and not the interests of individuals or political parties. Today, through the alliance with Ndam Njoya`s party, Ekindi`s party is now a political party with power in the littoral. So is Ni John Fru Ndi had accepted Adamou Ndam Njoya to challenge Biya, things might have changed.
Ni John Fru Ndi can not be managing the SDF the way he was mismanaging the little Ebibi Bookshop, the vegetable cooperative in Bamenda or the PWD Bamenda of old days. In fact, this man still has to learn the basics of democracy. For someone struggling to rule a bilingual country like Cameroon, and after more that 15 years hoping, in vain, this stack illiterate can not pronounce a single word in French. He is touring the country shouting, "A go catch Biya for Yaounde", A go beat CPDM inside Yaounde". And this is a fool who continues to call on the international community to force Biya to implement ALECAM or to cancel results. He fails to understand that the International community is also interested in what he says during his campaign tours. "A catch Biya?", "Power", etc. is not what the International community wants to hear of a leader of this important country.
And some people still doubt why Ni John Fru Ndi is bent on taking the SDF to parliament, even if only two SDF parliamentarians are there. Ni John Fru Ndi needs his gangs of exploiters to be in parliament for the following simple reasons:
1) He gets an important share of his salaries (stipends) and bribes from these parliamentarians.
2) To sustain the CPDM government and give credibility to it before the international community.
3) To tell the international community that democracy is at work in Cameroon.
4) To have the opportunity of spreading his selfish propaganda as a political party in parliament.
5) More importantly to guarantee that he benefits from the "STATUS OF MAIN OPPOSITION LEADER" that the CPDM government is preparing to table before parliament. The bill on this will also include the possibility of making Biya life president. So we understand why Ni John Fru Ndi`s throat is already wet.
Again some people try to ignore the fact that Ni John Fru Ndi is wrong to be dismissing elected officials. Why did he fail to dismiss Professor Ngwasiri from parliament when NEC sacked him from the SDF? Why is Ni John Fru Ndi too excited with article 8.2? Why were the candidates not dismissed before the elections if they were found wanting? Whenever a candidate suceessfully go through the requirements for a post, then it is that candidate`s right to occupy the same post. If they were what Ni John Fru Ndi and his gang of thieves want to tell the world, then why were they endosed as candidates during general elections. Where the poor qualities attributed to them only discovered when elections for mayors were to take place? If yes, then Ni John Fru Ndi and his congregation of liars must face article 8.2 of the constitution of the SDF and be dismissed. The SDF is the only party where its constitution is tailored to protect the chairman and to victimize those who pose a threat to his rule. The CPDM party has never dismissed members of its progressive faction.
And some of us still doubt why the SDF has disgraced us in the elections. The answer is simple - EVERYBODY WANTS TO EAT WITH THE CPDM, EVEN IF IT MEANS DOING IT IN THE NIGHT AS THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE SDF HIMSELF IS DOING. When CPDM politicians want to wish out votes, they use cash to feed the hungry while SDF candidates leave their money backhome just to come and beg and to say, "Power."
I wonder what Ni John Fru Ndi will have to tell the public as he prepares to go in for presidential elections in 2011, knowing fully well that he will NEVER win.
... in short, I do not want to repeat all what I have been writing in this forum. Cameroon and Cameroonians have two main and major problems: Paul Biya of the CPDM and Ni John Fru Ndi of the SDF. Time shall tell.

Original mukete, you are making a fool of yourself. Is there any cameroonians who cannot say a word in french?even our old mothers know how to say bonjour. If you hate fru ndi, simply say i hate his gutes and stop writing bullshits. Has mr Biya ever spoken english apart from reading it from a piece of paper? why didn't you say Ni John can not even speak good english that would have made some sense. All what you said that Fru Ndi auction kumba 11 and a seat in the west is baseless b/c you do not have the proves.

THE ORIGINAL Paa Ngembus
THE SOUTHERN CAMEROONS SHALL BE DECOLONIZED BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY

If I got anything from Mukete,it is that from the word go the Cpdm has always been standing in the way of liberation of our motherland and that it should also be known that the SDF too has degenerated to standing in the way of our liberation.Yeah, the Cpdm as well as the Sdf represent a problem to our motherland cos both of them are a bane to her independence.
The last hope rests in the Southern cameroons national council's pursuit for the restoration of the statehood and sovereignty of the southern cameroons.
Paa Ngembus,it shall be decolonized.Truth can be suppressed for some time but not for all time and at the appointed time it springs up in a way that is not comprehensible to man. That is how the truth about our motherland is unveiling. They are seen in the manifestations of the ScNc,the faux pas of the SDf,the ruthlessness of the Cpdm, and so on.All these help unravel the truth about our motherland, her plight and ultimate solution. It is when the truth is known that we get saved.
USAfrica,
I repeat we dont practise any hypocrisy here. Its you who is a hypocrite.I openly felicitate Paa Ngembus because he stands for the truth.I term your language vile and vulgar cos that is what it is.Paa Ngembus' language is a hard language and the difference between a hard language and an obscene, vile and vulgar language must be well construed. We condemn all falsehood in the hardest terms.Force of Argument!
Peace Shall be abundant in the land.

Legima Doh,
just answer me these,
When were you colonised?
When was your territory annexed?
Who signed the treaty of annexation on your behalf?
With due respect don't you think others have a different point of view? What sort of democracy do you want to practise?
Paa Ngembus is but an arse-hole. A kid with a "Mbouda" vocabulary and cabbage for brains.
You of the SCNC can not force me to do the wrong thing!!
blessed be cameroon forever.

It is acts like these which clearly demonstrate that the SDF is not mature enough to manage itself let alone a country. Democracy 101: Those councilors represent the people not the party. SDF, please learn the difference. In any developed country, an elected official can decide to become independent. That does not mean he loses his office. By the way I do not know who the SG of the SDF is, but since Asonganyi, it was not worth the salt knowing who the SG is.
Let us face it, the CPDM does not need to commit a lot of fraud to beat the SDF hands down in the North West Province. The CPDM has really become popular after the SDF became the same beast by another name. Tell me again, what is the difference between 17 years and 25 years? I believe by now all free thinking people have left the SDF and have sought other ways to help the people.
