The Supreme Court sitting in for the Constitutional Council has endorsed 'victory' for the CPDM party at the last July 22 twin elections by rejecting petitions in at least 85 constituencies.
Dipanda: Pandering to elections fraudsters?

Various opposition political parties that participated in the twin elections had filed some 99 post electoral petitions at the Supreme Court against massive electoral fraud.
In a marathon deliberation on the cases on August 7 and 8, the Supreme Court rejected 84 of the 99 cases filed against the CPDM on grounds of procedural lapses - failure to indicate the date and address of complainant, failure to sign the petition or signatures appended on petitions by persons who are not candidates, failure to list down names of those supposedly voted and so on.
The CPDM had equally filed four petitions calling for the annulment of elections in Mezam North, Mezam South, Lekie West and Wouri West. Meanwhile, election results for Wouri East, Moungo South, Mayo-Tsanaga North, Nyong and Kelle, and Upper Nkam have been cancelled because of proofs of massive fraud and other electoral irregularities.
In a preliminary presentation, the President of the Supreme Court, Alexis Dipanda Mouelle, quoting a number of articles on the creation and functioning of the National Vote Counting Commission, NVCC, and the Constitutional Council, highlighted the roles pertaining to each institution.
He stated that the role of the NVCC is to make observations on the general conduct of the polls with the right to make recommendations on the cancellation of the elections, reserved to the Supreme Court sitting in for the Constitutional Council.
The first case treated was filed by Jean Pierre Etroukang and Jean Michel Nintcheu of NUDP and SDF, respectively against the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation, MINATD.
They called for the cancellation of elections in Wouri East of the Littoral Province on allegations of massive fraud. NUDP and the SDF presented electoral irregularities such as the presentation of a fake birth certificate and identity card by one Jacques Celestine Ketchanga, a list member of the CPDM; chasing away representatives of both parties away polling stations; ambulant and multiple voting; buying of votes by CPDM elites, absence of indelible ink; more votes than the total number of people found on electoral registers the like.
UPC Communication Officer, Pappy Ndoumbe, also backed up and substantiated the NUDP and SDF petitions with startling revelations, indicating how the CPDM in compliance with the DO tripled votes in favour of the ruling party.
Representing MINATD, the Head of Judicial Department, Pierre Essomba, argued that the SDF petition be rejected because the complainant, Nintcheu, failed to sign as required by the law.
Baffled by the Court's cross-examination, the CPDM lawyers failed to present convincing proof that the victory by their client was a clean one. Failing to urge the lawyers to push on, the panicked CPDM parliamentary candidate for Wouri East, Hon. Françoise Foning, moved forward and told the court that NEO was in a marriage alliance with the opposition political parties in the whole of the Littoral Province against the CPDM.
She stated that what was forwarded to the NVCC by NEO and the political parties as elections results for Wouri East were fake.Called up to speak for NEO on the issue, Barrister Ebanga Ewoudo said his institution stands by its report forwarded to the commission. Meanwhile, the views of the Attorney General, Justice Martin Amoulong Rissouck, called for the rejection of the NUDP and SDF petitions, a view that was booed by the crowd that thronged the court room.
Presenting the observations of the NVCC, the Supreme Court, however,
stated that a lot of discrepancies were noted between return sheets
forwarded by the DO and Divisional Vote Counting Commission on the one
hand, and those of NEO, the SDF, NUDP and UPC.
The return sheets of the latter group, according to the Court's
observations, were uniform.
On grounds of the petitions highlighting the massive fraud, the Supreme Court annulled the parliamentary elections in the Wouri East constituency.
Other Cases
One of the cases that drew a lot of attention was the one filed against MINATD in the Mezam South special constituency of Santa by the CPDM. The ruling party urged the Court to disregard the victory of the SDF candidate, Paul Nji Tumasang. The court rejected the petition.
In the Menchum South constituency, Barnabas Asah Asane of the Alliance for Progressive Forces, APF and Henry Kum Ichu of the SDF filed a petition calling for the cancellation of the CPDM list on grounds that a list member, one Richard Walang, is an ex-convict.
Lawyers of both parties argued that Walang was, in a case, sentenced on
May 29, 1999, to pay FCFA 150,000 or serve a five-year jail term by the
Bamenda Court of First Instance.
According to the SDF and APF, the Appeal Court confirmed the judgment thus giving Walang the status of a convict.
The SDF lawyers also claimed that Walang caused the publication of
defamatory material against their candidate, arguing that it certainly
stifled votes in disfavour of their client.
Explanations from one of the Supreme Court judges, Justice Mathias
Epule, indicated that Walang was not convicted per se but that the
judgment required him to pay FCFA 150,000 or serve a jail term and on
such grounds, Walang could not outrightly be considered a convict.
CPDM lawyers who corroborated this view argued that Walang had paid the required fine and an extra FCFA 50,000 for some charges. Justice Amazee also presented the publication claiming to have tarnished the image of the SDF candidate urging Chief Justice Dipanda to observe closely whether the person who by-lined the article was Walang.
On such arguments and counter-arguments, the court rejected the case.Despite claims of massive fraud presented to the court by Pascal Zamboué, the APF parliamentary candidate for Bamboutos, the court found the petition unfounded and dumped it.
APF lawyer, Barrister Innocent Bonu, who put up a spirited fight to have the elections in that constituency cancelled, told the court in response to a question that even if the multiple voting was in favour of APF, it constituted electoral fraud and must be sanctioned.
A petition filed by Chantal Kambiwa, Robert Moukoury Moulema and Edith Kahbang of the SDF calling for the rejection of the CPDM list of Wouri Centre and Manoka in favour of the SDF because the name of a CPDM list member, Collins Dooh, was not on the electoral register dragged on for long.
The SDF argued that Dooh's name was not on the list of voters reason why his name appeared in a manuscript four hours when voting had started. Photocopies of the manuscript tendered in court indicated that Dooh has no place of birth place, no date of birth, no father nor mother's name and no national identity card number.
CPDM lawyers agued that the documentation presented in court against their client was a frame-up noting that the same Dooh who voted in 2004 could not suddenly be declared as a citizen whose name is not found on the electoral registers.
For his part, SDF lawyer, Lavoisier Tsapy, retorted that every Cameroonian knows how fraudulent voters' cards are issued by DOs in the country. He argued that if Dooh had registered in 2004, his name would have automatically featured on the provisional list that was published by MINATD.
Pierre Essomba acknowledged that MINATD must have omitted Dooh's name
but could not answer a question from the Chief Judge on why MINATD
representative at the NVCC did not react to the lapses until it became
a time wasting case at the Supreme Court.Justice Dipanda, however, declared the petition as unjustified and consequently rejected the case.
Rejection Spree
Considering the manner in which the cases were handled, the Supreme Court seemed to be out on a rejection spree of the petitions. Cases simply rejected for various reasons including what the Court termed technical are, amongst others, constituencies such as Buea Urban, Ndian; Koung-Khi; Mezam North; Mezam South, Momo West; Donga-Mantung East, Mamfe Centre, Bui Centre, Ngoketunjia North and South; Manyu; Kumba Centre; Buea Rural; Menchum North and South; Fako West; Ndian; Muyuka and so on.
In a brief reaction to the press, the UPC Communication Officer, said the administrators and electoral commissions (perpetrators of the electoral fraud) ought to be sentenced to prison considering that the degree of the electoral manoeuvre was, in all legal objectivity, incriminating.
He blamed the Supreme Court for being too mild in the exercise of its legal function. To him new administrative officials should be constituted in order to rebuild some confidence in the re-voting electorate.

Some of us saw this verdict even before the elections. NJFD will you start preparing for 2011 got to the parliament or will you let ur people out of this catch?
We are still waiting either to call u state's man or to let u go to the gabberg heap.

Once more Alexis Dipanda had proven his incompitent by endorsing cpdm victory. By him throwing away 84 out of 103 petitions forwarded by the oppositions means victory had been given to the cpdm. My question to all Cameroonians on this forum is "now that victory had been given to the cpdm, what next for cameroonians? Should we take the few seats and councils given to us by Biya or what next? I'm completely disappointed with the supreme court of Cameroon. No judge's hands are ever tied and so what he had declared is what he had been told to do and what he also want to to inorder to keep his top job. History will hold him and biya responsible oneday.

Ernest,
That is what you get when you take part in La Republiques politics. Many observers have seen this and warned many of you in advance. But you are blind enough no to see. STOP COMPLAINING. If you did not learn anything after 1992, you will have a hard time learning.
Start preparing for 2011. The same fate awaits you. After that you will make the same complain. It is a viscous circle. Talk about chasing the win. This is a real case.

The verdict has been cast finally.
What next? The big question has a simple answer.
Biya has to be killed.
Fellow country men, democracy has crashed in Cameroon and the next thing will be to eliminate those who stand by theway of democracy and nothing else.
Thos who are pushing us to this dramatic end must be ready to receive it.
It has been proven that elections cannot change anything.
The idiot lion man homosexual od Etoudi is now calculating how he can make ELECAM a shadow of ONEL. He has no chance for any elections in Cameroon.

It's a no comment situation: we all know all the left-right, up-down and centre grumbling will take us now where.
SDfers will take on their paliamentary and communal seats. His excellency, the Lion Man shall change the constitution by 2009 and get another term of office in 2011.
This is not wishful thinking,it's facts. So no power for Fru Ndi in 2011. That's after 21 years in opposition. In 2018,during his 28 anniversary as an opposition leader, Biya's hand picked succesor, Mebara, will be the next tenant of the Unity Palace.
Fru Ndi should see the writings on the wall, understand it perfectly and take a stand. But what stand can he take:it's all a sorry spectable, a sad history; nay we shall only talk and talk and talk, Biya remains and only death shall disentangle him from Etoudi. How long?. Only God Knows

mk the southerner,
We have told our friends in the SDF that they are BLIND followers of one man; Ni John Fru Ndi. I have particular reminded Fon and Watesih here on that issue.
Their response amoung other things is that:
-You are trying to bring down the SDF;
-You hate Ni John Fru Ndi.
The fact is that after 1992, it was clear even to a blind person that no party will win the CPDM in any elections.
It was even clear that a Southern Cameroonian should not dream of wining the presidency of a foreign country, La Republique Du Cameroun.
Many are those who were behind the SDf who after 1992 and following the discovery of new FACTS that support a struggle for a Southern Cameroons state have joined the struggle. But some in the SDF for reasons of GREED, GREED, GREED, have continued to follow the SDF blindly to a dead end.
They are hoping Biya will leave one day and they will bid his successor in an election. They have no idea that they is a system that has been put in place to garantee victory for the CPDM for the next 2000 years.
Forget even about all what I said above for a moment. If Biya has decided that the will be no democracy in his country; La Republique Du Cameroun, what is the business of Southern Cameroonians in that? The citizens of La Republique are able to take care of the CPDM in any way they see fit. What is our business in their affairs when they have been openly told us we are not part of them? What is our business in their affairs when they is evidence to should clearly that we are not a legal part of their country?
Posted by: M Nje | Thursday, 09 August 2007 at 06:46 PM
Feli, An SDF scribe asked us to wait for the "official results". Here they are. What next would feli and their ilk tell us? Even the blind must have seen by now that these criminals are in business to colour and inexistant democracy. They are mainly there to legitimise the colonisation of the Southern Cameroons masquerading as an opposition. Now, they have decided to form a new front from their occultic chamber called APF headed by another occultists called Muna. We shall deal with them only with our weapon of truth. By the way, does this SDFers think we are fools?
Posted by: rexon | Thursday, 09 August 2007 at 07:04 PM
Many of us cannot hide our disappointment at the actions of the Supreme Court, but i am sure a good number of us are not at all surprise by their decision. I had already expressed my opinion for SDF to boycott Parliament and call for a close door meeting to decide the future of the Party. Some SCNC activist on this forum have accused some SDF councilors/parliamentary hopefuls of Greed. I am afraid i will have to agree with them on that. The future of Cameroon is at stake and it is about time for us in the SDF to rethink our strategy and explore other options other than democracy. We do not need a sooth sayer to tell us that Biya intends to change the constitution to stay in power after 2011. Biya's attitude is similar to that of Ramses in the Bible during the time of Moses. Despite all the signs and miracles God performed, Ramses will still not let the Israelites go until God had to resolve to killing the First born sons of all Egyptians starting with the son of Ramses. I am not a fan of violence but sometimes in order for freedom to reign, one has to resolve to violence. SDF and Ni Fru Ndi's cautious strategy to avoid civil war in favor of democracy has not been fruitful to the desired effect. SDF needs to form a secret organ within the Party, and start infiltrating the ranks of the Ruling Government with the intention of destabilizing the government and bringing this wicked regime to its Waterloo. Any attempts by SDF to go into this Parliament will be a big blunder.
My stand is; forgo Parliament, hold a close door meeting, form an underground or secret network, and start preparing for the inevitable. Democracy is dead in Cameroon so something has got to give. Cameroonians have becomes captives and Biya and the CPDM lords are our captors. We Cameroonians need to set ourselves free from captivity, and SDF as the main opposition party has the moral obligation to lead the fight to free Cameroonians from captivity. We need to go to work.
Democracy in Cameroon is dead.

Wilson,
Why wasting your time with all those "good" ideas. The main fact that your chairman himself could not re´fuse the millions from the french gambling company and other support from t´he french secret service is evidence that Mr Biya's Money has power. So dont expect the councillors to listen to u as all u saw now, we saw and advise them several years ago.

7512wilson,
I say amen to that brother, you are spot on. A change in direction is required to save cameroon from this modern day slavery. This man Biya and his inner circle of bandits are playing Russian roulette with the livelihood of cameroonians.
Back in the days I looked at NJFN (SDF)as cameroon's messiah incarnate. Now I have lost all hope. Should have, would have, could have! are the best word of a fool.
We cannot leave in eternal hope. Hopeing against hope that Biya will suddenly see the light and give up. The man will die - not soon enough as far as I am concerned - as president and after that another one of his gang members will take over. With equally the same dire destitude for Cameroonians.
I sympathise with SCNC and the likes... But let's face it, none of them have taken us any further away from this monstrosity that is CPDM. Cameroon is still Biya's personal property...Even the supreme court is toothless.
In my humble view all the opposition parties should say enough is enough, amalgamate and take to arms. Nothing short of this will do. There will be strife and hard times (nothing new there for an average Cameroonian!)but atleast there will be light at the end of the tunnel. I will happily volunteer to put myself in the front line. Atleast for the betterment of the future generation, we cannot let our children grow up to leave like this. It high time Biya and his gangsters come to realise that there is a new breed of Cameroonians.

There is no comparison between the revolutionary SDF that many of us helped to create in the early 1990s and the Franco-Camerounese establishment SDF of today. As my colleague Rexon puts it, its function is to colour the fake Biya democracy.
People are calling on SDF to do the honourable thing and not play along. This would be the ultimate test of Rexon's thesis–that the SDF will play the colonizer's game. The SDF could split over this, if there are people of integrity and gumption left in it, or they could just vacate and work for the cause of the Southern Cameroons.

Thanks Alpha2omega for your comment. Just like you, I am ready and willing to go to the war front and root this evil regime out. Enough is enough. The future of our children and our great grand children is in jeopardy if we continue to wait for the day Biya and CPDM will seize to exist. SDF needs to wake up and realize that something different needs to be done. SDF must form a secret organ within the party. ANC and other great African Political parties all had Secret Organs within their parties. The role of a Party Secret Organ is to infiltrate the ruling government with the aim of destabilizing, sabotaging and bringing the government to its knees. DO.s SDO'S, Governors, CPDM high ranks and others who stand in the way of freedom should all become prime targets. We are in self defense and if we do not deal with them they will deal with us. I will elaborate more on the role of a Party Secret Organ in my subsequent listings.
Stay Put.

It is high time Cameroonians come to realize that the motive of the present regime of La Republique du Cameroun has no vision for the prosperity of Cameroon as a whole. Rather, their only intention or motive is to destroy the remnant of the powerfully prestigious Southern Cameroon's dignity and identity. I wish to remind all Cameroonians eastern (La Republique du Cameroun), as well as western (Southern Cameroonians), that the declaration of the supreme court in respect to the just past elections indicate a reestablishment or consolidation of the former one party state system; of which for many years destroyed the integrity of Cameroonians at home and abroad, eliminated the right of free speech, and destroyed the potential of a growing economy. I call on all Cameroonians from this day to be able to stand for what is right, to secure and assure the social benefits of Cameroonians at large, and denounce selfishness of a few individuals at the mercy of our degrading economy and our bond of unity.
I call on my brothers of the SDF to learn this lesson which is not new to them. As propagated by the SCNC and the SCYL and the Ambazonia over the years, "Unless the motive of segregation, oppression, marginalization, and deprivation is taken off the root mind of mainstream politics of La Republique du Cameroun" Cameroon will never see the light of a modern day liberal and free economy. Democracy will only be rhetoric and consequently the common man will suffer the outcome of an unprosperous, economically imbalanced, and a politically destabilized La Republique du Cameroun. Therefore, allied politicians of La Republique du Cameroun should embark on a federal system of government, as in the days of 1961, eliminating the issues of sessation, providing long term solutions for a better economic recovery, and creating a platform for the rebirth of a true democratic Federal Republic of Cameroon, with the respect of Southern Cameroon's autonomy and sovereignty as well as that off La Republique du Cameroun. It is better to be wise early than be too wise lately. In other words, I caution La Republique du Cameroun not be penny wise and pound foolish.

cdollar,
You are very welcome.I admire your positive thought about the plight of our motherland.Well as for the autonomy and sovereignty of our motherland the Southern cameroons, history has proved beyond reasonable doubt that no relationship is worth going into with la republique not even a federation. For that reason,we want her autonomy and sovereignty in toto with no strings attached to la republique.Look at la republique very well, and you will see she's got the mark of the beast.
Peace shall reign on our motherland.

Paa Ngembus,
I find the idea of separating just for the sake of it quite foreign. I was born a Cameroonian and prefer to stay the same. The battle cry of the separtionist seems to have been exhausted. Infact, it had been lost by our forefathers. I refuse to fight a loosing battle.
Just because I do not share your views does not mean I am not a southern Cameroonian.
If you think I am wrong then educate me.

Alpha2omega,
You said u find the idea of separating just for the sake of it quite foreign. What is the meaning of this and does it relate to the Southern cameroons cause.Separating just for the sake of it and quite foreign. These have no bearing on the ScnC course but I Would want you to expound on the use of such a misguided and baseless statement on the course for independence. You also said you prefer to stay thesame.Again this is another paradox. If you like the status quo and prefer it to remain thesame then you should be an advocate of the occupational regime. You also said you were born a cameroonian and that the fact that you do not share some views does not mean you are not a southern cameroonian. Are u saying you are a la republican and a southern cameroonian thesame time.A cameroonian is understood to mean a la republican and so you want to identify yourself as a southern cameroonian. You also said the battle seems to have been losed by our forefathers. Its good you say it seems. If you are abreast with the ScNc activities ,you would know that the battle is onward going and gathering strength as time goes by instead. One can only refer to a loosing battle talking about the SDF.
The battle to self determination, restoration of the sovereignty and statehood of the Southern cameroons is not a loosing battle and it is the duty of any right thinking southern cameroonian to fight this battle in whatever form or capacity they can.It is already aboard the coach to victory.
Peace Shall Reign on our motherland.

hiding place so do not send any more money to this fellow.they also
confessed that they had already started to recontact you as the true
police unit when you had try to figure out that they were not real but
they convinced you back through the [email protected] inbox and
you were convinced and they
stopped contacting you through the other email address.this means as
they were scaming you, they were at the same time contacting you with
other email addresses to confuse you not to know the real police so
that
in case you discovered that the present people you were dealing with
were not the true police, they would have continue scamming you through
the other email(this means while they were scamming you using the
[email protected] email, they created another email themselves
and contacted you telling you that the [email protected] email was
fake.although they said you ignored the mail and continued with the
[email protected] email. They have been using fake documents and
fraudulent government stamps to make fake documents.
what we are asking you now to do is to stop dealing with any emails
you
get from them and forward any emails you get from them to us.if you
are
in any way of help to us to track down the escapee then contact us
immediately with the necessary information
we will be expecting to read from you if you need any help or advice
from us

I have Money Gram receipts and other supposed authenticated documents as proof. Plus their e-mails and chat messages as well if needed.
Thank you...
