Contonsport football club of Garoua is gunning for the 7th uninterrupted National Division 1 championship title after day 29 action.
The cotton pluckers from the north currently tops the chart with 60 points after the 29th day of play, closely followed by Union of Douala with 59 and Mount Cameroon FC of Buea with 55 points.
The highest climbers of the league table this season, Canon of Yaounde is fourth with 50 points. Dangling at the middle of the chart is Fovu, Tonnerre, Aigle, Esperance, Astre and Lion Ngoma of Ebolowa.
Meanwhile, wobbling at the bottom of the table is already relegated CPS
of Bertoua which is yet to record a victory in the championship with
only 9 points after nine draws.
Newly promoted Federal of Noun, Sahel of Maroua, Sable of Batie, AS
CETEF of Douala, Foudre of Akonolinga, University Of Ngoundere and
Bamboutos of Mbouda are having a free for all fight in the relegation
zone of the MTN 2007 national Championship.
