The European Union, EU, and the Decentralised Capacities Support
Programme for Urban Development, abbreviated in French as PACDDU,
Friday, November 23, presented two classrooms to GBHS Bamendankwe.
The Government Delegate to Bamenda Urban Council, Abel Tadzong Ndeh, who led a combined PACDDU/EU delegation to the inaugural ceremony, called on the staff and teachers to treat the classrooms with care so that future generations can benefit from them.
Appreciating the gift, Sir. William Asah Mbenkum, Principal of the school, described the classrooms as timely. While thanking PACDDU and the EU, he pleaded that the school needs more of such gifts so that children could study in a convenient atmosphere. The school's PTA Chairman, Christopher Tita Tantoh, while also appreciating the gift, regretted the rising cost of building materials. He said it was thanks to the ingenuity of the Principal that the two classrooms were constructed.
