CRTV for the past decades has not only been baized as a national communication firm in handling constructive criticisms on political issues, but has as well ferociously failed in the feeding Cameroonians with basic information on the socio-economic updates in Cameroonian and current happenings in the international scene. Thus banning contrary ideas on the issue of constitutional change from Ni John, Longue Longue or any other source is no news.
No trained Cameroonian with unalloyed patriotism would even make a moronic blunder in using CRTV as an arena to expose opposing views to amending the constitution.
How many Cameroonians even watch CRTV?
They can only prevent those in the suburbs from knowing the truth for the main time, but definitely every Cameroonian would be exposed to the truth and they gonna decide how to react to it.There is really gonna be surprises for Biya and his phylum, should they resolve in changing the constitution.
chopfire.

Ma Mary

I really hate saying, "I told you so".

Legima Doh

People of the Southern Cameroons,I implore you people to stay clear of all la republique party politics and even the issue of la republique constitutional amendment. Why should Fru Ndi not be banned? How can a foreigner be allowed to speak against a government where he is not a citizen?.We the peoples of the Southern Cameroons have been subject to physical and emotional torment from la republique and no longer want to be ridiculed.Fru Ndi knows so well that he cannot change the constructs of la republique malicious intentions. The constitution issue is a distraction for all the Southern Cameroonians and in fact let any speech contrary to the constitutional amendment be banned.Yes let it be so ,so that people like Fru Ndi can start to see that they got no real voice in la republique but are being used hither and tither for the exclusive benefit of la republique with no good intention for the Southern Cameroons. They of the SDF and other mushroom parties of Southern Cameroon heritage in La republique are called to come to the truth, come back home and fight the legitimate fight of our motherland and not the futile and lost battle overthrowing Paul Biya in his own country.Let the francos do that. The time and effort wasted would have added value to the real struggle for liberation of our motherland. The Crtv is controlled by Biya regime for the purpose of concealing and misrepresenting facts about our motherland and for propagating the La republique Southwest and Northwest divide and rule policy. Before the pseudo unity, the Southwest and Northwest people had never witnessed any mark hatred, the kind that is is claimed by proponents of doom for our motherland. So both the Northwest and southwest people must muster strength and dedication to fight for the restoration of the statehood of out motherland and then reinstate their true identity as belonging together.Anything contrary to this is dull and vague.
That is the truth about our motherland and it is life giving truth for the future of our country.
Yes Ma Mary,we have always told the SDF and lots of others that nothing good other than malicious treatment is expected of La Republique. We have warned on countless occasions but they won't listen. When you warn someone not to associate with an enemy but he keeps on doing so for so long, you tend to gradually consider him an enemy too.The SDf is proving this case to be considered an enemy too, enemy of the real truth of our country's plight and ultimate solution. We would say in Britain to Fru Ndi that such is unacceptable mate!

Legima Doh,
SCNC

one cameroon

IT IS REALLY FUNNY READING THIS FROM A "DEMOCRATIC" COUNTRY.HOWEVER THE OPPRESSOR WOULD CERTAINLY USE MANY TACTICS TO ACHIEVE HIS GOALS BUT THIS SHOULD NOT DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM THE CHALLENGE WE HAVE.THIS IS ONLY ADDING TO OUR ANGER AND WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT WE WOULD NOT EVEN NEED THE CRTV TO SAY WHAT IS HAPPENING.
PLEASE FELLOW CAMEROONIANS DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE SCNC TALKS OF US NOT BEING PART OF CAMEROON. NOT ONLY NI JOHN WAS BANNED LONGUE LONGUE IS NOT FROM THE SOUTH WEST OR NORTHWEST HE ALSO RECEIVED A BAN. WE HAVE TO JOIN FORCES TO FREE OUR BELOVED COUNTRY.CAMEROON IS ONE AND ONE IT SHALL REMAIN.

rexon

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

It is appropriate for Cameroonians to set off the alarm bells of the potential
civil war that may take place in Cameroon if the Cameroon Constitution is
changed to effect a Life Presidency for Paul Biya. The vast majority of
Cameroonians are completely unaware of the involvement of their very
own who could have averted the Rwanda genocide. Will history repeat itself?
Whereby Cameroonians shall again stay mum and lull on the diplomatic front
for us to be witness to a civil war in Cameroon? The time to act is now dear
people. It is better for Cameroon to be free and President Biya go on retirement
than for there to be war in Yaounde, Douala, Bafoussam, Bamenda, Garoua,
Maroua, Bertoua, Foumban, Kousseri, Ambam, Sangmelima and all the
surrounding places. Imagine having members of your family killed or targeted
to be killed in some senseless war just because a single individual wants to
be President for Life!

Blessed Be Cameroon
Pa Fru Ndeh

Booh Booh’s Boo Hoo: Rwanda Revisited

Africa | Human Rights | The News Today | World Conflicts
Email this to a friend
Posted by Newt on April 1, 2005 - 2:30pm
Canadian Romeo Dallaire, the man who tried to warn the world of Rwanda’s impending genocide, is the subject of a smear in the form of new book by a former United Nations official. Dallaire, the former head of peacekeeping in Rwanda, is considered something of a national hero in Canada where he has just been appointed to the Senate. Dallaire is also the subject of an award winning documentary based on his own book Shake Hands With the Devil: The Failure of Humanity in Rwanda.
In it “he describes the machete-wielding government-sponsore d forces that went on a killing spree in 1994 and murdered 800,000 people in 100 days. It's a damning indictment of world leaders and UN bureaucrats who failed to stop the genocide. Even to write the story was painful.”
Canadians rallied to support Dallaire when they learned of his mental breakdown, suffered as a result of what he witnessed in Rwanda and fueled by his own guilt over not being able to stop the violent Hutu campaign aimed at wiping-out the Tutsi tribe.
Two years ago, a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation report described Dallaire’s lowest point this way: “after Rwanda, Dallaire blamed himself for everything. He sank deep into despair. He attempted suicide. Three years ago he sat on a park bench in Ottawa and drank from a bottle of alcohol. He's forbidden to drink because of the drugs he takes for depression. The mixture almost put him into a coma. Police had to take him to hospital.”
Today, Canada’s National Post reports that Dallaire’s United Nations boss, Jacques-Roger Booh Booh in a book of his own, criticizes Dallaire, calling his role during the 1994 genocide a “total fiasco.” In a news conference in Paris yesterday, for his book Le Patron de Dallaire Parle: Revelations sur les derives d'un general de l'ONU au Rwanda (Dallaire's Boss Speaks), Mr. Booh Booh also said Gen. Dallaire did not report to him the events of April 6, 1994, that resulted in the beginning of the Rwandan genocide.
Booh Booh’s book smells a lot like a self-serving payback, given how critical Dallaire’s book was of him. Booh Booh was exposed as a diplomatic slacker who ''to my surprise and chagrin, turned out to be a proper gentleman who kept diplomatic working hours," Gen. Dallaire wrote of his former boss. "He was not involved in helping me deal with the fallout of the massacres and the propaganda wars they were provoking. He was rarely in his office before 10, took a full two-hour lunch and left the office before 5. He made it clear that he was not to be tracked down and disturbed on the weekends unless there was a dire emergency."
Booh Booh now accuses Dallaire of planting microphones in his UN office in Kigali so he could secretly record conversations and Booh Booh claims that “Gen. Dallaire did not inform him and the United Nations of the assassination of 10 Belgian officers under his command. The murder of the Belgian officers on the eve of the genocide is one of the most controversial events related to Gen. Dallaire's tenure as force commander of UNAMIR.”
But a report by Human Rights Watch indicates it is Mr. Booh Booh who will be the one answering to history. It accuses him of playing down “the escalating violence in the months before the genocide in his briefings to UN headquarters in New York. In preparing briefings for the Security Council, the Secretariat favored Booh Booh's interpretation, which gave no sense of the systematic and ethnically based nature of the killing.”
Dallaire’s personal staff officer in Rwanda and co-author of his book, Major Brent Beardsley, dismisses Booh Booh’s claims saying, "I don't know how Mr. Booh Booh can make any of these accusations since he never came to UN headquarters in Kigali after April 6," and laughs off the allegations of planting microphones. "Where would we get microphones? " he said. "I sat there some days without paper. I wiped my backside with old Maclean's magazines."
The Post reports that “Mr. Booh Booh was eventually fired as special envoy to Rwanda because he left the country in May, 1994, about a month into the genocide, without UN permission.”
Ironically, also on the front page of the Post yesterday is a report citing a British government investigation into the tragedy in Darfur which appears to be playing out like Dallaire’s worst nightmare. It concluded that at least 300,000 people are dead and it chastises the international community “for doing too little to halt it.”

La Republique is always succesful in raising money to construct roads linking their country with neighbouring states, but they are busy struggling to destroy roads linking the Southern Cameroons to Nigeria. From Kumba to Ekondo titi, Bamenda-mamfe-ekok, etc, all these roads have been left in tatters. Massa the SDF people should stop wasting our time.

African Development Bank (Tunis)
SPONSOR WIRE
22 February 2008
Posted to the web 22 February 2008
The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and Cameroon signed an agreement for a loan of 48 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 76.57 million (FCFA 36 billion) to finance the Douala-Bangui and Douala Ndjamena road corridor, linking Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR) and Chad.
The agreement was signed on Friday in Tunis by the Bank Group's Vice President in charge of Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration, Mandla Gantsho, and Cameroon's Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Louis Paul Motaze.
The two main objectives of the loan from the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional arm of the Bank Group, are to contribute to the growth of intra- and inter-regional trade in the Economic and Monetary Union of Central African States (CEMAC) zone as well as enhance the efficiency of the transport chain, including road infrastructure, railways and access along the Douala-Ndjamena and Douala-Bangui Corridors.
"The Multinational Programme falls within NEPAD's framework that is aimed at creating commercially and economically viable corridors devoid of barriers, formalities and unnecessary road blocks that are the only principal causes of undue delays and high transaction costs along these corridors," Mr. Gantsho explained after the signing ceremony.
He noted that the Bank is contributing US$ 174 million in loans and grants from its multinational window under the ADF-X for the road facilitation project estimated at US$ 410 million.
The other agreements for loans and grants of UA 19 million to Chad, UA 27.8 million to the Central African Republic and UA 19 Million for CEMAC, will be signed in due course, he explained.
For his part, the Minister commended the "crucial role played by the AfDB in the success of this heartwarming and important operation".
"The Transport Facilitation and Transit Programme of the Douala-Bangui and Douala-Ndjamena corridor is part of a sub-regional strategic investment which will enable the Republic of Cameroun, a transit country in particular, and CEMAC member states to promote and facilitate regional integration by improving free movement of people and goods," Mr. Motaze explained.
He also expressed the gratitude of his government to the European Union, the French Development Agency (ADF) and the World Bank for their contribution to the project.
The project is expected to improve access to the port of Douala for Chad and CAR. It will also help reduce poverty and improve the population's living environment and conditions, especially women.

with Kosovo declaring its independence, what does this mean for souther cameroons? The goverment of Cameroon had better rethink strategies

ftroit

NOt sure about the government's point for this modification debate. The constitution does not prevent Biya from ruling the country. It only requires that he step down after a maximum of 14 years. After 7 years, he's free to put forth his candidacy and if as he believes the people like him, they'll elect him again!

Eyengue

What can Mr.Fru Ndi say, in a recent press conference, in which he wasn't prepared as usually, (Just interested in calling for interviews in a show-biz manner). He couldn't differentiate between his SDF constitution and the constitution of the country. Those are signs of a dictator. Those who have eyes should see.

red flag

southern cameroonians must be prepare to fight these french cameroun military/gerdames off our land as
their unelected president demises near.
we arethe rightfull owners of southern cameroons, la republique have no legal
treaty. of souvereignty over our land, all they have is their army.gerdamesa and police
occupying us, no one doubt that this doesnt amount to annexation and colonization, soo why keep talking of one cameroon as this bunch doent know their own land and boundaries.

Ahadji

Mr. Ftroit, You have a right to vote whosoever you want but I am afriad the constitution we are talking about doesnot allow a Cameroonian to rule for more than 14 years. Please go and read and re-read that constitution well before continuing to expose your stupidity in public.
Ask for Eyengue, he has nothing to say than attacking people who stand for justice and equality for all Cameroonians. What does a liar like Eyengue need other than people who stand on falsehood like Paul Biya.
Thanks

Fon

Ahadji,
I think you misunderstood ftroit. As for Eyengue, he remains a slave.

The best approach to confront advocats of Biya for life president is terrorism.

simplice

Mr Reg Flag, I've told you many a time, herein, that this parroting of yours on account of freedom fighting is HOT AIR. From your verbal dysentry and lame statistics, one might think, you'll be the first to pull the trigger at the liberation war front.

WE AHVE THE RIGHT TO USWEAPON TO LIBERATE OURSELVES, THE UN DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS SAYS SOO, TOO, ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE IN COLONIAL OCCUPATION BY ANY FOREIGN POWER BE IT EUROPEAN OR AFRICAN HAVE THE RIGHT(TO USE WEAPONS TO KILL AND DRUVE-OFF THEIR OPPRESSORS,)

SIMPLICE AND ONE CAMEROUN IS THE SAME PERSON, THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT FROM FRENCH CAMERUN.
WHO IS JEALOUS OF SEEING US FREE FROM THE EVIL GRIP OF THEIR FILTHY GOVERNMENT OCCUPATION.

Eyengue

Alhadji,
It goes thus: "As for Eyengue......" not " Ask for Eyengue....". Sure you will say it's a "Typo" once more. Look young man, when we were struggling for the change in Cameroon, you must have been running around naked, and mama was cleaning the your running nose. You know too little to engage in a political debate. Do you own a copy of the constitution of Cameroon? I wonder. I'm not interested in what nonetities post on the internet.
Fon, you better keep your Chairman abreast with issues before clamouring for press conferences in which he contradicts himself. Age sometimes affects the way people think. He should go on retirement, and let the young continue with the struggle. Their generation has been full of deceit, and corruption, SDF and CPDM should be held accountable for the present predicament be-falling Cameroon today.

Ahadji

Eyengue,
It goes thus “nonentities” and not “nonetities” and “cleaning your running nose” not “cleaning the your running nose” was it typo? When you will realise that you don’t master the English language, then you will understand others better.
When you will change from being a liar to someone who stands for the truth and promotes the truth, then I will know what to tell you. For the moment, many of us consider you a liar and your claims to have struggled to change that which at the moment you are struggling to kill are all lies.

UnitedstatesofAfrica

"SIMPLICE AND ONE CAMEROUN IS THE SAME PERSON, THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT FROM FRENCH CAMERUN.
WHO IS JEALOUS OF SEEING US FREE FROM THE EVIL GRIP OF THEIR FILTHY GOVERNMENT OCCUPATION.

SAD,NAKED SOUL OF FILTHY LAND"- Red flag

Red flag, your wild passion for Southern Cameroons liberation is quickly morphing you into a stark fool. Look at what you write! you ramble carelessly, you misuse words, you wrongly reconstruct sentences, you make no sense and your English is deplorable.
Please! before your post a write-up, take your time. Think, analyze, construct the sentences in your head first before you write them down.
You write like a madman without any coordination or sense of direction. Refrain from such wild antics for they portray you as a French Vanguard. You come off as the uncultured and brutish French politicians you criticize everyday.

A word to a wise is enough

UnitedstatesofAfrica

And as for Fru Ndi,
I am tired of the old man's rhetorics. He has utilized all the tricks in his magic bag so I think it's high time for him to step down. Ever since I was born, I have been listening to Fru Ndi's rhetorics. He goes on and on and on and on and on but we see no results. As long as he has hefty bank accounts in London and mansions in Bamenda, why should he care about results. Fru Ndi reminds me of the SCNC- much talk but little action.

Mr. Ndi, please step down. You have taken the SDF down the path of obscurity in the past years and it all has to end. You came, you saw, you tried but you didn't conquer. It's time to pass the torch to a new revolutionary leader who can connect with the youths and garner followers reminiscent of Martin Luther King's enormous disciples.

Eyengue

Alhadji,
Good to know you have come to know the use of the dictionary. If i were from the English speaking part of Cameroon, i could have known better. My mastery of the English language is out of your reach. Make more use of your English Language dictionary, (if you wish i can recommend some books which are going to help you). Nice you're improving in your English, to be able point out spelling errors and other mistakes, atleast criticism helps somehow. I will won't tell a lie like you did, blaming it on "typo" though, the mistakes i made can be blamed on carelessness rather than ignorance. I should have been more careful before posting.
