On potty lanes elbow to elbow clipped
Trembling voices and feeble feet
Of impartial party partisans galloped and wobbled
Croaking sounds of "Dimabola" with octogenarians in fore
As early days of early 90s with enticing engulfing face of multiparty democracy briskly emerged
Eccentric minds of ruling junta
Masquerade dance danced in towns nationwide
Yaounde parade and Notre-Dame Cathedral entrance
By Erandjas, Epaulets, Gandouras, Suits et Al, the epitome,
In shameless supplication for divine sin in denial
Of positive multiple voices in Cameroon committed;
Just for rule master after enticement to retort:
"Be prepared for eventual competition."
Now again
Those whose dirge on ruling seat must be heard
Panic as expiry of master's term on acme glides nearer
In devilish artistry manipulate mounted and fragile minds
To litter streets again with poverty-laden voices and thread bodies
With real Professors in intellectual misleading lead;
Twisting to tunes of revision of Article 6.2 of Constitution;
Democracy must in monarchy's garments be dressed
Pseudo sensible set stage for free flow of red human fuel
For selfish mean minds must goal achieve. Shame! Arrest!!
