SCNC Faction Leader Arrested

Scores of gendarmes from the Ntarinkon Brigade in Bamenda Friday, July 25, stormed the Secretariat of a faction of Southern Cameroons National Council, SCNC, and arrested its leader, Thomas Nwanchan,

Supervised by the Ntarinkon Brigade Commander, Priso, the gendarmes ransacked the office and pulled down the sign post.Priso said the SCNC is an illegal separatist movement and they cannot fold their arms and watch the liberation movement carry out illegal activities.

To him, the SCNC is a threat to national unity and all its activities must be crushed. He said his colleagues had been monitoring their activities and that is how their attention was drawn to the two conspicuous SCNC sign posts that were erected just last week.

Barrister Harmony Bobga, who came to the scene almost immediately, told the gendarmes that Nwanchan was merely exercising his constitutional rights of freedom of expression. Quoting the Cameroon and International Law, Bobga said Thomas Nwachan has done nothing wrong.

"We are assuring you people that we are going to pursue all the avenues of the law to secure Nwanchan's liberty at the earliest opportunity."

Constant arrest,detention and torture of the comrades of the Southern Cameroons will by no means be a bane to the struggle for liberation.The DO and his gendarmes are a bunch of unlettered idiots who do not have an iota bit of the law at both national and international scenarios.The law that these moronic DO and gendarmes claim to be upholding is the same law that in truth condemns them because it advocates for freedom of expression.At the international level,international law advocates for freedom of right to self determination wherein the case of the Southern Cameroons must be well understood because it has always been deliberately misconstrued and mispresented as an act of secession by la republique.We are not seceding from La Republique as we have never ever been historically an integral part of theirs.We are working to always secure the liberty of our comrades and it shall culminate in the liberty of our nation.There shall therefore be a day that it shall be the forces of the Southern Cameroons with those of relevant international organizations arresting elements of La Republique politics for crime against humanity on the part of francophones and for treason on the part of Southern Cameroonians who have sold their conscience to la Republique.
Nwachan's safety is guranteed because we live in the information era and nothing is hidden. God bless our motherland.

let cameroonian be vigilant. we will not tolerate scnc activitist. we will hold firm to the unity of this country just like china.
let the forces of law and order continue to do their jobs and make sure that these individuals are arrested and sentenced.
