Orphans at the St. Valentine Orphanage, Friday, January 30, received
blankets, pairs of shoes, toilet paper, beverages, tablets of soap,
body lotion, tooth paste and pens etc, from the Buea Summit of the
Junior Chamber International, JCI.
Merlin Ndoundo shares with Justice Ayah of St. Valentine Orphanage
The gesture, according to the newly elected President of JCI Buea
Summit, Merlin Ndoundo, is a contribution to the advancement of the
global community through taking care of the needy.
Ndoundo said Jaycees believe that service to humanity is the best work
of life and that the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of
nations. Ndoundo said their contribution will help the orphans support
their value driven ambitions in life.
Justice Paul Ayah Abine, Director of St. Valentine Orphanage, said was
pleased with the act of charity practised by JCI Buea Summit members.Ayah prayed God to repay JCI Buea Summit, and like Oliver Twist, he pleaded with them to come back.
From the St. Valentine Orphanage, members of JCI Buea Summit moved to Alliance Franco-Camerounaise Buea, where they launched their 2009 plan of action in the presence of the National President of JCI Cameroon, Dagobert Taha and Victorien Tougouma form Burkina Faso who is the 2009 Vice President of JCI assigned for Cameroon, the Comoros Island, Madagascar, Mauritius Island, Mali, Guinea-Conakry, Ivory Coast and Morocco.
