Cameroonians in some neighbouring Nigerian villages have been fanning the flames of the secessionist Southern Cameroon National Council, SCNC, in Donga-Mantung and Bui Divisions in the Northwest Region.
This information was made available to the press recently by a top security official.
The security official, names withheld, said there has been an influx of some Cameroonians resident in neighbouring Nigerian towns like Ngembu and Ngoroji into the country to attend SCNC meetings in Nwa and in Kumbo.
He said most of them pass through Sabongari, sometimes disguised as clergymen, claiming they have a crusade in Kumbo. He said while in Kumbo, they often hold but their SCNC meetings at Presbyterian School Kumbo or any other mission institution. Some others, he said, smuggle themselves like Fulani or as Muslims crossing to Cameroon to visit their relations.
He said when some of them get into Sabongari, they introduce themselves at the Mosque and their 'fellow' Muslims conceal their identities. The security official expressed worry that the Muslim community was very secretive and would not hint them of any intruders in the town.
The official blamed the difficulty of intercepting the SCNC militants on the inadequate number of the forces of law and order in such a long border between Cameroon and Nigeria. This, he said, made it quite difficult to crack down on these "enemies of peace".
He saw the absence of service vehicles for the few elements of the law enforcement officers as an impediment to their work.
He prayed government to increase the number of the law enforcement officers in Nwa and Sabongari and provide them with service vehicles so as to be able to check and maintain border peace.
Mr "Top Security Official", you are the intruder into our country. You shall leave...

Was this "top security officer" chatting with a colleague regarding this or on which occasion was he saying the above? Or is it a strategy to lobby for service vehicles that will eventually be transformed into personal vehicles.
If what he is purporting is true, then it's a good news. The guys from the Niger Delta can be of help. The importation of talents is one of the benefits of gloabalisation. The "rebels" from the Niger Delta may have the skills to unseat an irresponsible government.
