The University of Douala has received the first prize of the University Brain Trust that took place recently in Douala.
The University that presented a project on an enterprise -Cameroon Regional Development Company- attracted an FCFA 1million President Biya's Prize. The second was the University of Ngaoundere with a project on the 'creation of a house of arts and culture', and won a cash prize of FCFA 500,000.
The third was the Catholic University of Central Africa, with 'Store of food stuff' project. Out of a total of 72 projects presented, the first 20 were selected for their originality. The rest of the universities received FCFA 300,000.
The Universities of Buea and Maroua had no projects in the first 20 while Yaoundé II had one project and Dscahng had three. The brain trust took place under the theme 'Creation of enterprise by young university talents; a new dynamism in the promotion of enterprises'.
