Ma Mary

Khaddafi is a courageous leader. His chairmanship increases the possibility that this matter would be settled peacefully.

Francis Nche

Khaddafi is a dictator and we don't any more dictorships in the modern era. Birds of the same features flock together and only a dictator will be honoured by the opportunists in the name of SCNC. SCNC advocates for the division of the unified country in bits and Khaddafi advocates for a United Africa. What a contreversy, maybe the dictator wnats to bribe the mean and hungry SCNC beggers to give up their aspirations. If not what has a Unifyer to do with the partitionsists.

Ted

Francic Nche,
There is a very big difference between a good dictator and a bad dictator.

Fon.

Khaddafi´s chairmanship, although a dictator, may turn out to be something positive for the SCNC.
Khaddafi has always supported the scnc candestinely and this may be the time to make maximum use of his position as AU chairman.
Ebenezer Agwanga may just be smiling.
Let watch how this saga unfolds.

Samba

Dear Ma Mary,

Don't be so erratic and pessimistic on this issue. The United States is a combination of many state. The EU is also made up of many states. A United Africa does not mean countries will loose their sovereignty. Even within individual states you have autonomous regions. What is wrong with the Southern Cameroons being an independent state in the African Union? La republic can not deny of the right to self determination and you expect us to go cap in hand begging them for what is ours as a right. The marriage is just not working and divorce will be in the interest of the spouses. Please get the bigger picture and put aside your petty sentiments for the common good of a people and a worthy course.

About Qaddafi, I think lybians are comfortable with his rule and you can not appear to be crying more that the bereaved. What is the human rights story of Libya compared to cameroons'? Ghadafi will also be acting in his capacity as the chair of the African Union and not the Dictator of Libya, mind you.

Freedom is a good thing irrespective of how it is achieved for a people. Freedom makes the lives of a people whole and meaningful.

I am happy you will reconsider and inform your opinion on this very critical issue. I don't think you know more than the African Commission that admitted the Southern Cameroons case nor more the African leaders who put Qaddafi in the top position at the AU.

UnitedstatesofAfrica

GOD BLESS GADDAFI

I have so much faith in him as chairman of the A.U. I believe in his vision and I pray for his success.

This is a step in the right direction. Anglophones need liberation from La Republique so that we enter the African Union as EQUALS.

GADDAFI, GADDAFI, MAKE US DREAM AGAIN!

UnitedstatesofAfrica

Samba

I can't believe I am actually defending Ma Mary but I don't think she is being pessimistic. She said his leadership has the potential to guarantee liberation for Anglophones.
With that said, I agree with your argument. Gaddafi is the type of dictator Africa needs. The dictator who gets things done and doesn't have to consult with beaurocratic bottle-necks determined on hampering progress.

Polonium 2-10

I am very very disapointed with all of you the writers on this forum...

Read carefully before you react; open your eyes, think, investigate..
Why are you people responding on a dream story?

''Can You Please, Show Were It Is Writen Above or the Extract of Ghadaffi's Words inviting SCNC Learders''

You guys needs to learn how to disqualify some stories when they are been posted on the net.
Learn to write your own articles. Why do you always wait to react to articles?

You sleep from monday to tuesday only waiting to react; and if no body has writen you keep quite.

Polonium 2-10

Peterkins Manyong, Your story about Gaddafi does not connect at all. Were have you mention about the invitation (extract) above and how does it connect with the people in Bakasi and La' Republique?
You just diverted and started talk about a press release by Nfor Nfor Ngalla, then you continue with his story right away...And his press release is not in any way connect with the above caption.
Why are you doing things like this?
If Nfor Nfor has aked you to write his story dont use Gaddaffi as the caption.
Then some of us who dont care to read cretically start to comment..Gaddaffi is this Gaddaffi is that.
Is this the type of pilitician you guys want to be?

Ma Mary

The end point of all conflict is a negotiated position ie talk. When people go to war of liberation it is either:

a. because the oppressor refuses to talk

or

b. to negotiate from a position of strength.

It is always better to settle an issue without the needless loss of human life. That said, the Southern Cameroons issue is one about which we came to the firm conclusion that there cannot be a just cohabitation within the same country as la republique du Cameroun. That conclusion came about from studying the history of la republique, our experience with them and our understanding of the french mentality.

Some of our people are worried that by agitating for what is rightfully ours, we might trigger war. We are not crazy, and we hate war, but there is one fate for human beings that is worse than war.

It is called slavery, and all the evidence shows that we are very close to complete slavery with no control of our destiny at this point. Southern Cameroonians are escaping from their motherland, not so much because of economic reasons, but because they have no freedom to affect change in their own lives. They are at the mercy of the corrupt occupier who controls everything in their land.

That is why some of us, who can be styled leaders or pioneers in this struggle have taken a firm stand for the liberation and true independence of the Southern Cameroons. We are confident that over time, the rest of our fellow Southern Cameroonians would come to join us in this stand. The truth will be vindicated.

Some people still think that la republique will condescend to a real federation. That is a false dream. Some of us were federalists 20 years ago, and nothing has changed in the mentality of the government of la Republique and its citizens that still regard us as some kind of property or colony.

TAGRO

Southern Cameroonians and PostNewsOnline readers, please read the attached Government Announcement

ebot tabi

Franchis Nche and poloniun am very sure you guys are francophones, agents of marginalisation. Why are you jealous of our success? We are different in all aspects.
We shall succeed in the name of Jesus.
God bless Southern Cameroons

ftroit

I don't know, but my gut tells me that Khaddaffi will be seeking to have the SCNC back away from its cause. Khaddaffi so badly wants to see (and champion) and United States of AFRICA. Further dividing another African nation does not help that cause. Well, only speculating. We'll see what comes out of it

Ted

ftroit,
Your guts could actualling be telling you something real. There isn't any Afican leader or "dictator" today who'll want to further divide the already fragmented Africa. They all have the intention for a united Africa, but what is still very elusive in their faculties is the will, not just because of ideological differences and deficiencies but also because of the socio-economic and political disparities existing on the continent. In fact, what African scholars ought to have done is to come up with a think tank to feed AU with those ideas much needed. In fact strengthening, linking and codifying the social and legal systems of African nations into an integrated system would be a smart start. There's going to be lots of sacrifices on the way to unity and the will to sacrifice is key to this unity.

DR TAN OF CAMEROON

WEST CAMEROON OR SOUTHERN CAMEROON.
THE GOVERNMENT ANNOUCEMENT IS SO WELL WRITTEN. THE ANGLOPHONE PROBLEM IS EVERY BODY,S INTEREST BUT NO BODY,S BUSINESS.
THE ANGLOPHONE PROBLEM IS NOT AS COMPLEX AS MRS ADHIJO AND BIYA HAVE MADE IT.
AT INDEPENDENCE, THE SOUTHWEST PART OF WEST CAMEROON VOTED TO JOIN NIGERIA. I REALLY WANT TO GO BACK TO NIGERIA, WERE FON MUKETE , WAS A MINISTER OF GOVERNMENT AS EARLY AS THEN. TODAY WE WOULD HAVE HAD OUR OWN STATE, LIKE GONGOLA STATE. NOT ALL THESE NONSENSE OF SO MANY GROUPS COMING UP TO SAY THEY ARE SPEAKING FOR SOUTHERN CAMEROON. WHICH PROVINCES MAKE UP SOUTH OF CAMEROON. LET ALL THESE GROUPS ALSO UNITE INTO ONE TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY, OR ARE WE ALL HAPPY WITH OUR LITTLE GROUP POSITIONS.
THE A.U IS AN ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS AND NOT COUNTRIES. I REPEAT, AN ASSOCIATIONS OF GOVERNMENTS, NOT PEOPLE GROUPS [ NATIONS ].
WE ARE GOING FORWARD AND BACKWARDS WITH THIS PROBLEM. THE NIGERIAN COURTS ,RULED TO OUR FAVOUR, WHO EXECUTED.
CAN THE A.U EXECUTE ON IT,S JUDGEMENTS OR RULINGS. SOME PEOPLE HAVE SO MUCH FALSE FAITH IN THIS A.U, IT MAKES ME ANGRY. WAS THERE NO O.A.U AT THE TIME OF APARTIED.
I AM A VERY PROUD ANGLOPHONE , AND JUST FEEL DISAPPOINTED WITH OUR ACTIONS. I KNOW WE ARE TRING, BUT BET ME, THIS A,U WORKS FOR GOVERNMENTS, AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. JUST MORE FRUSTRATIONS WILL COME FROM THERE.
WHAT CAN GHAFFI DO IN ONE YEAR IN A.U. PEOPLE PLAY WITH OUR EMOTIONS AS IF WE ARE CHILDREN.
THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY WILL COME TO SELL ARMS WHEN THE IS A WAR. Oh GOD. I AM SO VEXED OF THESE MANIPULATIONS , THAT I HAV EINVENTED MY OWN ENGLISH AND FRENCH LANGUAGES AS PROTEST.
YOU WANT TO FREE WEST CAMERRON, THEN GO TO CAMEROON.
GRASSIAS.
DR THOMPSON AKWO NTUBA

Daniel Teba

This Dr Tan is distorting history. The cameroon we have today is based on a dream we, the majority of southern cameroonians had. We certainly did not want to be part of nigeria, especially those of us who had been shown a better future than we would have had as part of nigeria. I certainly know that was the view of Foncha, Muna, Jua and almost all the leading politicians, I knew them and their views well. The truth is that federation and unification accelerated our development. The reason we are stagnating is that Cameroonians, all of us, have betrayed the nation. If there is tyranny in the country today it is because we have allowed our petty differences interfere with our evolution. It is easy to blame the system but what have you done to prevent it? You people who complain about corruption are the very ones who pay bribes for favours, why? Because you think its the only way to get things done...Well, its not! You just dont have the responsibility to chalenge this threat to your rights. Likewise, the president is supported by toads who would do his imoral beings in order tolord it over the rest. They are not wicked, we their familys are wicked for allowing this. This Southern cameroon thing wont exist if things were not so polarised. How can everyone take us seriously when dispite all this Angwafor, calling hiself a traditional ruler with authority from our ancestors, prostitutes himself befor the CPDM for crumbs off the table? Get real. Take control of what we are..Cameroonians in an imperfect Cameroon; Fix the damage and build a united and prosperous country. Cameroon is bigger then Biya. Bigger than these separatist clowns. It is up to all of us to make it happen and in order to do so we need to trust each other!

red flag

TAN IS AN ASSHOLE DOCTOR. YOU KNOW DOCTOR COMRADE MURRAY, EVIL DOCTOR GO TO HELL.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDNG, DONT YOU READ THE REAL H FACTS AND HISTORY WRITTEN BY RESPECTABLE SOUTHERN CAMEROONINANS LIKE
CHIEF NJOH LITUMBE, CARLSON ANYANGWE BATE BESONG ETC, YOU ARE ALSO A LIAR, ALL YOU WRITES HERE IS ONLY LIES. LIES, NOT FACTS OF HISTORY. WHATS OVER, I WANT YOU TO STOP COMMENTING HERE PLEASE. THERE WAS NO SUCH A THING AS SOUTH WEST PART OF WEST CAMEROON, THERE WAS NO WEST CAMEROON BEFORE 1961. IF YOU,JUST LIKE FRENCH CAMEROUNESE WHO CAN STAND THE DIGNITY OF OTHERS,PREFERS TO CALL US ANGLOPHONES ,INSTEAD OF SOUTHERN CAMEROONIANS, WHICH WE ARE, YOU MUST KNOW THAT, THE CALLING WEST CAMEROON/EAST CAMEROUN CAMER AFTER 1961. VOTE FOR INDEPENDENCE, FOR SOUTHERN CAMEROONS, AND THAT WEST CAM/EAST CAM ENDED 11 YRS LATTER IN 1972 WHEN AHIJO, THE COURT CLERK COME PRESIDENT WHO HAD MILITARILY ANNEX SOUTHERN CAMEROONS 11 YRS EARLIER, DESTROY THE SAME FEDERATION, WHICH HIS COUNTRY MEN NEVER VOTED FOR ANY WAY, SOO WHEN SOUTHERN CAMEROONIANS ASK FOR FRENCH CAMEROON TO GO BACK HOME ,PACK ITA MILITARY AND FRENCG SPEAKING OUT OF THIS WORLD ADMINISTRATION AND LEAVE, THE PAUL BIYA GANG, OF CRIMINAL CALL SCNC OR SOUTHERN CAMEROONIANS (SECESSION) AS IF WE WERE PART OF THEIR INDEPENDENCE OR HISTORY FROM FRENCH OR GERMANY AT ANY POINT IN TIME.
THE WHOLE RECOLONIALISM OF BRITISH SOUTHERN CAMEROOONS BY PAUL BIYA AND AHIJO, HAPPENED BECAUSE , SOUTHERN CAMEROONS HAVE NO MILITARY, WE NEED A MILITARY PRESENCE OF OUR OWN ON THE GROUND PERIOD.

Blue Ambaz

All bodies have individual parts performing different functions.Even hands, there's just one right and one left and one mouth to speak for the body.
FELLOW AMBAZONIANS UNIT FOR A COMMON COURSE, A COMMON INTEREST.....
YOUR OWN FREEDOM!
IT ONLY TAKE'S A DECISION.
-BEGIN FROM THE TOP i.e THE FONS..
-THEN THE ANGLOPHONES MINISTERS IN THE BIYA GANG
-THE S.G's/MINISTER DEELIGATE's -GORVENORS right down to the common suffering Ambazonians
Denounce this so called union
RIGHT NOW!!!

Danny boy

Blue Ambaz,
I have been doing some research lately on Libya's involvement in the wars in Sierra Leone and Liberia. Are you speaking from one of Ghaddafi's training camps that nurtured the likes of Taylor and Fodah Sankoy or esconced in some comfortable hide-out somewhere in the West and churning out this rubbish?
What indeed is Ambazonia? Who is an Ambazonian? Is it a geo-political entity? Do you have a published manifesto on your political aspirations for this Shangri-La or are you opportunists of a failed Union? Renegades perhaps?
At least the first "C" in SCNC stands for Cameroon. Ambazonia? You can have it lock, stock and barrel!Make yourself President, who gives two hoots?
Long live Cameroon.

Oyez

Be that as it may, do you know why all the liberation movements in Africa, Asia and Latin America allied with the Soviet Union and China? It was not necessarily because they were so much in love with Communism, but because the West unilaterally rebuffed the fundamental rights of people in all those countries for independence.

Danny boy

Oyez,
and what indeed is your point? That Gaddafi did not provide Taylor and Foday Sankoy with the means to create havoc in their respective countries?
