The Chief of Big Nganjo, Mbonge Sub Division, Chief William Ekong Sakwe, has told Northwesterners in his village to vote only the ruling CPDM party.
Ekong was speaking February 20, during his 10th anniversary celebration. A dance group from Batibo Sub Division, Momo Division in the Northwest Region, decorated the chief with a traditional bag, a staff and a cup, reflecting the Batibo tradition. The chief thanked the Batibo people for the bag, which to him, signifies that he should lobby for more resources for the village in order to foster development to the benefit of the people.
Ekong interpreted the cup given him as an encouragement for him to provide water whenever the villagers are thirsty while he saw the staff as an encouragement to move forward in the management of village affairs. "I shall willingly do all you requested if only you vote for the CPDM and not SDF. If you vote CPDM, she would provide all our needs," the Chief said.
Besides, the traditional ruler told his kinsmen that he was disappointed with their management of community affairs. He said most people sell land without his knowledge.
He boasted that, recently, he reclaimed about 10 acres of village land, which was illegally occupied for eight years by somebody. He said he would use the last drop of his blood to fight for Big Nganjo.
But the Divisional Officer for Mbonge Sub Division, Clement Sone Ngoe, argued that people must not necessarily have to contact the chief to sell their land. Earlier on, the Chairman of the Big Nganjo Traditional Council, Daniel Mbongo Meboka, said that they need a health centre, a community hall and a cooperative. He said their water scheme needs maintenance and their farm-to-market roads are cut off.
The Mayor of Mbonge Council, Andrew Morfa Otte, told the villagers to be loyal to the CPDM and the administration and respect State institutions. He promised build a community hall for the village in the days ahead.
Ekong for how long have you voted for the cpdm or the fire party and what has been the impact on you personally and the village as a whole. How did you become a chief in your little village, is it that the village found nobody but a lunatic like you. Why do you think that if you develop your village it will be for the Northwesterners. Another thing this man needs to know is the laws governing land in Cameroon. Nobody owns land but the state. He should only fight to claim land and sell but to one day show his people what he has done. I thought he was presenting a Health Unit to his people but not needing a Health Unit. Who is he telling people to vote the cpdm, should any person be told which party to vote. Why does he votes for the cpdm and not CNU. Bull shit

MME OLIVE
YOU WILL AGREE WITH ME, THAT NOT ALL YOUR REPORTS , FROM THE SOUTHWEST REGION IS PURPLISHED BY THE POST. THE EDITORS SELECT WHAT THEY WANT TO FEED THEIR AUDIENCE WITH.
DURING THE USA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, THE CANDIDATES WERE FOND OF ACCUSING AND SPEAKING DOWN AT THE JOURNALISTS. WHY, BECAUSE THEY COULD DISTORT THEIR MESSAGE AND MISINFORM THE PUBLIC. EVEN TODAY REPUBLICANS ACCUSE THE LIBERAL MEDIA FOR MAKING OBAMA PRESIDENT.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO ;
1 CHIEF TELLS NORTHWESTERNERS , KINSMEN TO VOTE CPDM. AND
2 THE CHIEF OF BIG NGANNJO, MBONGE SUBDIVISION,CHIEF WILLIAM EKONG SAKWE HAS TOLD SOUTHWESTERNERS IN HIS VILLAGE TO VOTE ONLY THE RULING CPDM PARTY.
NUMBER 1 IS INCLUSIVE AND NUNBER TWO IS EXCLUSIVE.
IF YOU HAD FOCUSED ON THE MAIN ISSUE OF THE DAY, NOERTHWESTERNERS HONOURING A SOUTH WEST CHIEF, MAY BE FOR THE GOOD THAT THEY SEE IN HIM, THIS REPORT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED. THIS REPORT COULD BE TITLED , NORTHWESTERNERS RESIDENT IN BIGNGANJO , MBONGE SUBDIVISION HONOUR CHIEF. AND THEN YOU EXPOUND ON THE REASONS FOR THE HONOUR.
THE EDITORS OF THE POST, SEAM TO SELL ON THIS NORTHWEST SOUTHWEST , ANGLOPHONE /FRANCOPHONE DIVIDE, AND IT,S A SHAME.
EMOTIONALY, WE MAKE UNINFORMED STATEMENTS. ALL LANDS IN CAMER0ON ARE OWNED BY THE STATE?. WELL THOSE NORTHWEST FARMERS KNOW IT IS NOT TRUE. WE DO NOT ALSO BELIEVE THAT ALL LANDS IN THE NORTHWEST ARE OWNED BY THE STATE. NORTHWEST CHIEFS DONOT KNOW THAT EITHER.
BY NATURE THE SOUTHWESTERNER HAS ALWAYS BEEN TOO INDEPENDENT TO A FAULT. NOW THAT THEY ARE BEGINING TO RISE UP , TO SPEAK AS A GROUP AND TO DEFEND THEIR INTERSTS, WE GET ALL TYPES OF INSINUATIONS, IT TOOK OBAMA , TO OBEN THE EYES OF THE BLACK AMERICAN , TO BELIEVE THAT VOTING FOR HIM, THAN HILLARY CLINTON, WAS GOOD FOR THEM. UNTILL A POLITICIAN SAID, THE POWELL ENDORSEMENT FOR OBAMA , WAS TRIBAL POLITICS.
THAT IS WHY AKERE MUNA , TALKS ABOUT OUR GREED. WE CLAIM WE BELONG EVERYWHERE, WHY DO WE CARRY OUR CORPSES OUT OF THOSE PLACES WHEN WE DIE, TO THE PLACES , WE CLAIM
WE LEAVE BEHIND. THE HEART OF MAN IS EXCEEDINGLY DECIETFUL, WHO CAN KNOW IT. THAT IS WHY THEY SAY SOME REFUSE TO SELL HENS TO OUTSIDERS BECAUSE IT WILL LAY EGGS FOR THEM.
SOUTHWESTERNERS ARE MORE OPEN, AND MORE WELCOMING THAN MOST REGIONS IN CAMEROON. THAT IS WHY MOST SOUTHWEST TOWNS ARE COSMOPOLITAN BY NATURE. THAT DOES NOT MEAN , THEY WERE NOT FAUGHT FOR AND FOUNDED ON SOUTHWEST ANCESTRAL BLOOD.
IF I HAD MY WAY , I WILL BAN ALL POLITICAL PARTIES IN CAMEROON. THESE PARTY POLITICS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM IN CAMERRON TODAY.
WHEN GEORGE NGWANE AND OTHERS WERE CLAMOURING FOR AN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE POSITIONS IN CAMERROON, NO POLITICAL PARTY JOINED THEM , BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS USE PARTY POLITICS TO HOLD PEOPLE IN BONDAGE.
YOU HEAR SDF SAY PEOPLE IN CERTAIN NORTHWET VILLAGES MOST VOTE ONLY SDF. AS IF THE OTHER 200 PARTIES AR4ENOT EXISTING.
CHIEF EKONG HAS A RIGHT TO BELONG TO ANY GROUP AND CANVAS FOR VOTES FOR IT, JUST LIKE YOU ALL PARTISANS.

I applaud your vocal ability here. This chop-I-chop system of democracy in Cameroon is driving me crazy. What right does he have to tell people who to vote for?
Why has he not lobbied to construct a community hall, cooperative, maintain the water system and repair the farm-to-market roads which his people badly need?
Loud mouths who make meaningless noises because they want to be recognized by their CPDM masters. This is the height of nonsense.

Chief William Ekong Sakwe is entitled to his opinion.
If ONLY more work could be done to determine how Nganjo natives vote.
They are not all CPDM hags.
Most chiefs in Cameroon are on government payroll through the Prefecture - and like a hungry army, roll on their stomachs.

Tekum Mbeng,
yep, you have got the gift of the gab! You could equally have turned this phrase to read.." and like a hungry army, RULE on their stomachs." Ha ha..
Have a pleasant week-end.
