* New prime minister was former diplomat
* Outgoing premier had sought money from IMF
* President Biya under pressure from discontent over prices
By Tansa Musa
YAOUNDE, June 30 (Reuters) - Cameroon's President Paul Biya appointed Philemon Yang, a former diplomat and senior official in the presidency, as prime minister in a government reshuffle on Tuesday, state media said.
No reason was given for the removal of Ephraim Inoni, who had been premier for more than four years in the country of almost 19 million people, which has the biggest economy in central Africa.
State media did not announce the full list of new cabinet members immediately.
Inoni had been seeking rapid access to more than $140 million from the International Monetary Fund to help cushion Cameroon from the effects of the global financial crisis, according to a letter obtained by Reuters this week.
Biya, who has been in power for 27 years in the former French colony, has faced discontent over rising prices and the government last week announced cuts of 25 percent in the prices of staple goods such as rice, salt and fish.
Violent anti-government protests last year were also prompted by a change to the constitution to let Biya stand again in 2011 elections.

Despite a bigger gross domestic than countries such as Ghana and Senegal, oil-producing Cameroon lags in sectors such as health and education and is also ranked as one of Africa's most corrupt countries.
Yang Philemon is dangerous for the Southern Cameroons.
He is a student of Ayissi Mvodo and the murderer Andre Tsoungui (El Diablo).
We go show Yang fire.

Ephraim Inoni's turn is over. The ball is now in Yang philomon's hands. if Yang is going to be better than Inoni we will know. Yang might have got a nasty past yet he could be a good leader who knows. I have forgotten about his past and am concentrating on his present.

USOfMinnesotta,
Wwe shall see who will have the last laugh.
The difference between me and you is that I am working hard to attain my goals and at the same time kicking the asses of idiots of your ilk on fora like this.
All you my opponents do is talk. I have not seen any concrete steps you have taken to prevent the SCNC or any other Southern Cameroons Independence Organization from attaining their goals.
Keep on talking and laughing and hoping that we are not achieving anything.
You will be surprised and very soon.
Don't judge the independentist by the BS you read on the net. The real work is happening elsewhere Bozo.
A plus.

Southern Cameroonians are being shuffled like pack of cards. The other hand clappers in the assembly cannot seek ways of empowering the PM. The only advantages of being a PM in Cameroon is the powers to unjustly divert public funds for tribal purpose and that to replace meritorious candidates in with tribal folks in recruitment exams.
A head of government who cannot sack a member of his gov't is not worth the name. We would not have any competent PM in Cameroon unless the constitution curbs the powers of the head of state and empowers the PM.

I think this is no news. How many times has Biya and his cohorts been using this same trick. I think what will make headlines is that BIYA LEAVES POWER and Cameroon can take a new rumbo. Inoni, Achidi Achu, Yang or whoever is just his endless tactics. Now some people from certain parts of the Country will be happy but mind you it is just the same Biya, his CPDM and the same groupof people. No change and no prospect for Cameroonians.

Was it last year that I said Yang Philemon was being groomed for the Presidency? He is going to be the CPDM's candidate of compromise come 2011, if not, Biya would hand over power to him at some stage.
One need not have a crystal ball to see these things!!!

Who the hell is Yang anyway? Biya might just be sensing the end of his days following Bongo's departure and trying to derail the political fabric by appointing a close confidant.
WAY TO GO BRO!!!!!!!

one needs to see power change hands always and everywhere.Yang u are welcome.Be ready to get away someday but do work hard for the cameroons. What we want is let the post of the president be changing hands too , Paul biya is not the only competent one who can lead cameroon. He has been there too long and he is useless. Staying in power so long become a waste for a country

Again, i'll answer you simply that like most African children i was raised with that shameless Babylon Gospel message of deceit, and treachery until i realised that the Babylon message of personal salvation was a blatant tool to manipulate, enslave and torture my spirit for eternity.
I realised that by Babylon standards, there wasn't any place for the black man in their god's prophetic plan. In my quest for answers therefore, i found Ras Tafari who beckoned incessantly to me as though He wanted to speak to me. I haven't looked back ever since. Finding Jah is a glorious occurrence man!
As militant Rastafarians, we believe that the atrocious Babylon god can never be good enough for us. This has nothing to do with race, as we have hordes of volatile Rastas in our fold who are far from being black, but who understand and internalize Jah's prophetic calling and goodwill promise for humanity.
Such brethren see every reason to join us to topple the Babylon queendom and reveal all her scornful deceits. That's why in our Rastaman chant we proclaim the crumbling of the vicious Babylon throne that has concocted all kinds of devilish plans to annihilate the black race with impunity, as they trick us to believe that their Bloodclaat god is ours too! Rasta say NEVER!
The God i serve is Most Merciful, and He caters for the black man, aswell as everyone that calleth upon him. The Babylon god is a fraud; notorious for theft, and deceit on an incredible scale. Since you must know, my woman is Rasta and Jah Guides our home.

Biya should give way and his entire team. Otherwise he should tell Cameroonians in clear language and possibly in the Queen's language what his next move is regarding the long time disintegration of the Anglophone course (here I mean the return of the federal system). This is all I ask for -no more no less, or is this too much to ask for? This is what you dubiously took from us, so can we have it back popo?

SOUTHERN CAMEROONS INDEPENDENCE IS A REALITY SOON TO BE EFFECTED.
This doesn't make much sense!
I will offer some suggestions for you:
SOUTHERN CAMEROONS INDEPENDENCE IS A REALITY.
SOUTHERN CAMEROONS INDEPENDENCE; SOON TO BE EFFECTED.
SOUTHERN CAMEROONS INDEPENDENCE; SOON TO BE REALITY.
Please don't get me wrong here. Just a little confused. I may be wrong. I am not a grammarian.
Thanks

Ironically, Musonge, Inoni and Yang owe their elevation to the SCNC. Yang is a noted Biya ponk and anti-SCNC propagandist. These men are jungle VIPs indulging in politics.
They come from a different time and lack the ability to deliver on the economic front. None of them can use a computer!

We are simply disappointed by the so called appointments. It is simply a way to play for time like others popo will go someday and things will come to normal.Bongo went so what about Popo. They are birds of a feather. All we need is a federal state and nothing but that .Maybe meritocracy will take its place instead of connections as the case maybe.

The people of the North west are not fools The president and all his team may think they are playing on our intelligence but let me tell them that we are very much alert and aware of the plans towards 2011 .It all started with the second Cycle ENS and advance technical teachers training School now it is the appointment of somebody from this end as a PM .Why are these things done now ? A father who pulls a child's legs from a treee should be aware of the fact that the child will fall on him in due cause.

Yang you are welcome to the post of prime minister of the republic. But first KNOW that it will be dangerous for you if you become a close friend to Biya.Know that Biya is already old in service and we are tired of him.dont go and collaborate with him.TRY TO MAKE THE DREAMS OF SOUTHERN CAMEROON BECOME TRUE.

Hello Mr Yang Congratulations for your post, but it's to late 2011 is bloody, please we know you are a good man don't stain your hand with blood. We know that we have hungry politiciens in cameroon like Belo and the rest but they should take note the time has come for blood.

Oh no i don't want fake Franck Biya.Be yourself ok, this won't help our course. I just wanna say, Mr Yang is an old Politician and he is also Biya's cronies.
Look Linda just can't belief that u don't know the Biya's politics!!
The amount of people killed in the varoius struggles in cameroon is much more than a war, so comes 2011, there'll be change and even Emamanuel Olivier Franck Biya won't be the president of cameroon.
Enough is enough. My country people make we make things happen, yes we can!!!

there is no difference in cameroon the office of a dictator stands the same .we have no prime minister.just puppeteer to follow orders.we need a strong southern cameroon that is from from from the curse of biyaism.
i pity those Cameroonians that celebrate, why do the get involve in the devils manipulation.let go back to southern cameroon and work on our own future.our due season is now lets grasp it.freedom at last will be the word of the scnc

i am worried of the future while other are glad of the appointment of the puppeteer prime minister. Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom that is is the old politics of divide and rule.Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.Biya you will answer for this manipulations.i am a grown up intelligent Cameroonian,i cannot be fooled. The scnc members cannot be fooled. We know who we .i will speak, criticize and that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer no to la republic.
Let me not, Mr Politics,I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let him give flattering titles unto men from southern cameroon . For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away. God intervene and help ,a time bomb is ticking.can anyone prevent it.someone rescue cameroon.Scnc sober not.let take back what the evil have rob from us.

The ouster of Inoni is a strong signal that Biya is a no nonesense man and will never condone to any errors.Yang Philemon may be a good diplomat but not necessarily a very good polititians to unite the two anglophone provinces and the rest of cameroon who are plagued by internal greed and political infighting. However,he may create a difference but he must not make any errors ,else he will be thrown out in the most shameful way.

Yang, i hear another group of beggars(Fons)from the area where you attended primary school will be visiting you.Give them the same treatment like you did to those who came crushing at your door steps hoping to stuff their pockets with the tax payers money. When operation sparrow hawk will reach you die alone.Ask them to wait for you at their palaces.

Functions of an anglophone prime minister-
- Deceive former Southern Cameroonians that they have a stake
- Deliver on the land and riches of the South west province
- Create animosity between NW and SW for purposes of divide and rule
- Destroy the Southern Cameroons independence struggle
The Prime minister has no real power. He is a puppet. He cannot hire ministers. He cannot fire ministers. He himself is hired disgracefully and dismissed disgracefully via the airwaves. The prime minister is always shadowed by a francophone official who reports to Etoudi about his comings and goings because at the end of the day, they are not trusted. They are anglophones and no anglophones can be trusted. They are all the same, biafriens.

GENOCIDE IS THIS CLOSE FOR SOUTHERN CAMEROON.
As the French Cameroonian sits on the backs of southern Cameroonians choking them and make them carry the French complete disrespect of their identity, but yet assures southern Cameroonians that they are our friends and wished to ease our lots by any means except getting off our backs.when this scheme fails thanks to the struggle of the scnc.complete extermination will take place.let the world at large hear the forewarning.
The complete persecution of SCNC members fighting for the liberation of the territory has exposed Biya greed, terror unleashed and days of mayhem in southern cameroon. The lack of respect, human right abuses.the growth selective interest that accounts to jungle democracy in cameroon the Biya democracy, has led to the ambush of SCNC leader through conscious techniques of frustration and intimidation. these include, detentions without trials, house arrest, tortures, extra judicial executions, brutal suppressions and political exile.when all this will fail it will result to Genocide.this will not be our portion in Jesus name.and let all southern Cameroonians say AMEN

Southern Cameroonians should understand that what ever the mind of a man conceived and believed especially the change to from the territory from occupation.it can be achieved. SCNC members should remember, thoughts are things and powerful things are those that when mixed with definiteness of purpose and burning desire can be translated into riches
