Oh our wounded warrior
You whisper in our conscience
That your spirit will not find rest
Until we sound the trumpet
To rally the troops to the battlefield
And continue our pacific struggle
Against those forces of evil
Coming from unexamined lives
That dwell in mechanical reasons
Of no sound philosophical base
filling our space and vexing our souls
You called out at them while you lived
In your memory we will ignore the noise
Your predictions were in place
As you boldly heroically called out
On the falsehood of the undeserving captain
Projecting his similarities to the evil emperor
Your voice still sounds in our ears
Your memory haunts our resignations
Seeing the fulfillment of your predictions
For the undeserving captain has come full cycle
Unclothed in the market square of deceptions
As he enjoys his union with the evil emperor
Replacing our collective vision with his personal dreams
There is no greater heresy known
Than doing the right thing for the wrong reason
For the captain lives the pride of worthlessness
Awaiting his well earned Waterloo
For they will all be flushed like the pigs you know
for their crimes against the national innocence
You exited as a proud hero and patriot
For we honored you and sent you off
With the national colors and flag
Giving you the patriotic and military salute
Of a patriotic combatant who fell in battlefield
Defending the pride and conscience of our nation
Preserving the dignity of our people and land.
We salute you mighty warrior
Although you left us a wounded soldier
Your memory and contributions remain intact
With the visible footprints you left behind
We shall tread along your path
To victory or we shall all perish
We are sure you watch from the great beyond
As the tyrants fall in their numbers
Through the gallantry of our Arab brothers
The tyrants fell from their empty thrones
From Egypt to libya to Tunisia
They fell to their death, to jail and to exile
As the liberty warriors of the Arab spring march on
Chanting the sweet song of freedom
Across the squares and streets of Tunis to Cairo and Tripoli
The same fate awaits the emperor and his band of thieves
As the captain chooses the path of perpetual mutual destruction
And human dignity cannot be denied
we lift not a finger to spare him the same fate
As tyranny and deception be no match for liberty
